About this property

Wellness Retreat - Escape to Tranquility | Hot Tub & Sauna | Private Lakefront

STR24-00003

You've left the traffic behind. The emails can wait.

The pace slows. The noise fades.

As evening settles over the forest, gather around the firepit, relax on the deck overlooking the lake, and listen to the quiet rhythm of nature.

Far enough away to feel worlds apart, yet close enough to enjoy modern comforts, Eagles’ Nest invites you to disconnect from the demands of everyday life and reconnect with yourself

Your journey begins before you arrive. Turning onto the private forest road, the outside world slowly disappears. Two kilometres later you'll arrive somewhere truly special; Eagle's Nest. A secluded four-season retreat perched on a hillside overlooking Raven Lake, surrounded by towering pines, granite cliffs, birdsong, and the peaceful sounds of nature

Here, it is just you, the trees, the lake, and silence...

Start your morning with coffee on one of three wrap-around decks as the sun rises over the hillside and morning mist drifts across Raven Lake.

Spend your days swimming, fishing, canoeing, exploring nearby trails, or simply enjoying the privacy of your own waterfront retreat. Then unwind in the six-person hot tub, relax in the sauna, challenge friends and family to a game of billiards, and end your evening beneath a sky filled with stars.

Surrounded by Crown land, Eagle's Nest offers a level of peace and privacy that's increasingly difficult to find. Leave behind traffic, sirens and city lights to fall asleep to the sounds of wind rustling through the trees and loons calling from across the lake; the lullaby rhythm of nature.

These are the moments that stay with you.

Whether you are creating family memories, reconnecting as a couple, or simply taking time to slow down, Eagle's Nest provides the rare opportunity to step away from everyday life without giving up the comforts of home.

Need to stay connected? High-speed Starlink internet allows you to work remotely while enjoying the peace and beauty of the forest.

A whole-home backup generator provides additional peace of mind, ensuring essential comforts and amenities remain available throughout unexpected power interruptions.

At Eagle's Nest, wellness is found in the simple things:
- Watching the sun rise while perched above the forest with coffee in hand
- Fresh forest air
- Uninterrupted sleep
- Time on the water
- Evenings spent together under the stars
- The peaceful quiet of nature

Guests enjoy exclusive access to the entire cottage, including the private lakefront, hot tub, sauna, pool table, wrap-around decks, and outdoor living spaces.

The entire cottage is yours to enjoy throughout your stay.

Explore the surrounding wilderness, paddle along the shoreline, or simply relax on the deck and listen to the sounds of nature. Eagle's Nest is designed to feel like your own private retreat away from the world.

The walk-out lower level features a spacious recreation room complete with a pool table, comfortable seating, and easy access to the hot tub, sauna, and outdoor living areas.

Outside, three levels of wrap-around decking provide peaceful spaces to enjoy your morning coffee, afternoon sunshine, or an evening glass of wine while overlooking the surrounding forest and Raven Lake.

Terrific location and beautiful accommodation. I'd recommend taking a note of information to access the building and/or wifi before arrival as the phone reception is pretty poor. All amenities were great. Location awesome for exploring Algonquin.

Just returned from a Family Day long weekend at this gem! It was everything we hoped - a cozy retreat with scenic views, cabin vibes and premium amenities. Hot tub soaks, sauna steams, pool plays, couch curls, wintery walks, lake skates - there really was something for everyone... which is a tall order when travelling with teenagers and a pup;) We appreciated how well kept the place was and how attentive Chris was to our booking. Our only regret... not experiencing it in the summer! A must.

The Perfect Family Getaway

We had an amazing stay! Our hosts were very welcoming, responsive, and helpful. The cottage and grounds were more than expected. Clean, organized, and had everything we needed. Our family couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the week. The location is perfect, quiet, peaceful, and has opportunities to create your own adventures. We look forward to booking again and creating more memories with the family.

Our family really enjoyed the serene location of The Eagle's Nest combined with the luxurious amenities (hot tub, sauna and pool table) and high speed internet. Located more than a mile from a public road, the private lane was well plowed and, even as a winter ice storm raged outside, we were comfortable, relaxed and enjoyed the beauty of it all from our hot tub vantage point. Chris, our host, has thought of every contingency to make sure the house can withstand winter conditions (including a back-up generator). The kitchen is well stocked for cooking meals in. The layout of the house and all it has to offer helped us make memories to last a lifetime. Groomed cross country ski trails are less than an hour a way but during our stay we were able to use the private lane as our playground for adventures in the snow. We loved our time together in the north woods. Thank you Chris for sharing your beautiful property with us!

Terrific cottage on a quiet part of the lake. We stayed with our three kids ranging from 9-15 and all thoroughly enjoyed it. Paddle boards, canoes and kayaks (two each) meant that there were plenty of options and no bickering. The host was extremely responsive and the whole process was smooth and easy.

Scenic location and beautiful property

The cottage is beautiful with great views of the water and fall colours. It is fully equipped with all the nice-to-haves while you're vacationing. The place is clean and well maintained. There's plenty to do on the property itself. Unfortunately, the cottage went into blackout due to a power outage within minutes of us arriving. Everything turned off - heating, water, stove, wifi etc. since all appliances were connected via electricity. Chris was responsive and stayed in touch through it. I will flag that the cottage does not sleep 8. We were a group of 8 and there were beds for only 7. One of us had to sleep on the sofa which was not ideal. Additionally, Chris reached out to us during our stay mentioning that there will be an additional charge of $200 because we were 8 people instead of 6. We shared with him screenshots of our booking that clearly showed 6 adults and 2 children booked. After realizing that we were right, Chris said that he wouldn't charge us extra to "compensate for the power outage". All the back and forth threw us off a little since we were there to spend relaxed time. I wish we would instead be compensated by taking $200 off the bill since the place was good to sleep <8 people. Other than that, we had a nice time and will recommend the place to anyone looking to enjoy the Algonquins during the fall.
