This home boasts a wood-burning fireplace, cozy outdoor decks, a relaxing hot tub, and a family-friendly interior with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy your time in the mountains. This property is owned by a couple from Louisiana and carries the same name as their cotton farm there. You will likely notice the unique touches that they have added to better connect the property here with its namesake in Louisiana. This house is part of the Mountain Serenity Rentals group, an elite group of family-owned properties providing the absolute best of what Angel Fire has to offer. Mountain Serenity Rentals is a small but mighty team started by husband and wife duo Eric and Cheryl in 2006. What began with one house and a small dream has since grown into our true passion: offering families from all over the opportunity to make memories in the mountains in beautiful, clean, up-to-date, and well-maintained homes. At Mountain Serenity Rentals, we intentionally market only a handful of properties so we can provide the highest level of service. We believe you deserve all the things you need for a great stay, and don’t want to nickle and dime you for them. Our homes are stocked with firewood for fireplaces and fire pits, propane for gas grills, detergent for laundry machines, and all the basics for kitchens and bathrooms. If you are ever missing something during your stay, don’t hesitate to reach out! We have gathered a tremendous amount of knowledge over the years, but actively value feedback from our guests so we can continue to improve and provide excellence.

Here are some highlights of the property itself that we know you'll love:

** Just a short walk across the main road gets you to Monte Verde Lake, great for boating in the summer and sledding in the winter. The Angel Fire Country Club is just a short drive away featuring a gym, pool, formal dining room, casual bar/grill, golf in the spring, summer, and fall, and cross-country skiing and sledding in the winter. On the way to the club, you will pass through Olympic Park complete with tennis and pickleball courts, a playground, and hiking/biking trails. All this plus the ski resort for winter sports and summer mountain biking.

** This spacious home can sleep up to 14 across 4 bedrooms (3 king beds, 2 queens), and a bunk room with 2 sets of twin over full bunks. The bunk room serves as its own hang-out space and is attached to the movie room and game room, giving the kids lots of space to do their own thing away from the adults and plenty to entertain them. All this space means this house can easily accommodate 2 to 3 families or a larger group traveling together.

** The perfect setting for great family memories, this house offers sprawling decks for happy hour or morning coffee, a wood-burning fireplace to draw everyone together, and a great dining room table to share meals and stories around. Get away from the big city, and slow down at Sherwood at Angel Fire!

** The house is fully stocked with everything you could need for your stay. In each bathroom, we provide linens and towels, shampoo, body wash, and a hair dryer. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots, pans, and other cooking utensils you need, as well as paper towels, napkins, spices, olive oil, dish soap, and dishwashing detergent. All you need to buy is the food! We also have a laundry room with detergent provided for the washer, just in case your mountain adventures get messy!

BEDROOMS/SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS/BATHROOMS:

Sherwood at Angel Fire has a variety of sleeping options and plenty of space for everyone. On the main floor is the main suite with a king bed and attached bathroom. Also on this floor just off the main living space is another bedroom with a king bed and a full bathroom immediately adjacent. On the lower floor, you will find the kids' bunkroom, complete with 2 sets of twin over full bunks, as well as a bedroom with 2 queens, and another with a king.

There are two full bathrooms on the main floor, one in the main suite, and the other between the kitchen and main floor bedroom. There is also a full bath on the lower floor.

Bedrooms and bathrooms are fully stocked with pillows, linens/blankets, towels, toilet paper, shampoo and body wash, hair dryers, and hand soap.

LIVING AREAS:

Your group will enjoy spreading out in this spacious home. The main floor has a living room with a comfy sofa to curl up on to enjoy the views. The large family room area is adjacent to the kitchen and the upper deck. On the lower floor is a game room with a pool table, attached to the kids' bunkroom. Great for the kids or adults to enjoy! There is also a cozy movie room where everyone can relax together. This lower level also has a separate deck where you'll find the hot tub.

KITCHEN/DINING.

Cooking and eating meals together is one of the many ways to create great memories. Our kitchen features everything you will need including stainless appliances, a gas stove, oven, microwave, crockpot, refrigerator/freezer, coffee makers, blender, and griddle. All plates, glassware, baking/cookware, pots, pans, and utensils are provided. In addition, our dining room has seating for 8 and features a wood-burning fireplace. Could you picture a cozier way to enjoy a family meal?

ENTERTAINMENT INDOORS:

When you're done enjoying outdoor fun, come inside and relax! The large common living area provides plenty of space and seating to sit and chat about the day's adventures, or just curl up with a book or a beverage. Meanwhile, the kids can spread out and play games, enjoy the pool table in the game room, or watch movies in the movie room. The lower level movie room has a smart TV for everyone to enjoy, or head back to your bedroom and stream your favorite shows there.

ENTERTAINMENT OUTDOORS:

Outside, we strive to provide as much comfort as inside. Relax outside on one of the decks and enjoy the views, or soak in the hot tub. Enjoy the sounds of nature while the kids play out back in the cool summer temperatures. In the winter, the area out back is perfect for making snowmen, snow forts, or having snowball fights. There is also a gas grill on the lower deck for grilling year-round.

ENTRYWAY

Enter the house through the front door with our keyless lock when you arrive. Inside the entry, there is a closet for your winter coats and hats and rubber mats for boots.

LAUNDRY

Our laundry area is central to the house with washer/dryer and space to lay out wet clothes. We provide detergent and dryer sheets.

PARKING/GARAGE:

There is a short circular driveway in front of the house. The 2-car garage, immediately adjacent to the main entry, is large and great for storing skis, poles, extra bags, or anything else that you want close but out of the way. In the cold months, the garage is a great place to keep your vehicles out of the elements! The driveway has room for several additional cars and is just a few steps from the main entry…great on those cold winter days!

Note: for your protection and ours, we have security cameras that monitor the exterior entry points of the property: garage, front entry, and behind the lower deck.
