Excellent Accommodations in the Perfect Location

We were in town for the Iron Mountain Trail Race. This spot is in walking distance to the start/finish with a view of the creeper trail from the shared deck space. Also several restaurants and breweries in walking distance. Clean, quiet, and comfortable.

Within walking distance to all the bike rental shops for the VA Creeper Trail. Super easy keyless entry and above a coffee shop. Really cute apartment and true to pictures.

Sweet & Central

This bright and clean little apartment was ideal for our Damascus stay; the kitchen is decently equipped, there is enough living room area for three or four people, and the beds are comfortable. Getting in and out is easy with the electronic door codes. (Note that it is second floor, up one flight of stairs, but stairs are wide and not steep and there are sturdy handrails on each side.) Also it is an easy walk to Damascus Diner and to Blue Blaze Bike Rental (recommend both!), plus is conveniently located above a coffee & ice cream shop that has cute outdoor seating. Would 100% rent here again :)

No closet or drawer space

It was a nice small place. It would have been nice to have somewhere to hang my clothes or even put them in a drawer instead of living out of my suitcase and everything being wrinkled. There was only one closet in the whole space and it had plastic tubs and supplies in it. Bathroom had a small cabinet with drawers.

Quick Weekend Getaway

Our stay here was essentially perfect. The property was exactly as described, well appointed for a weekend (or more), and in a fantastic location. Beds were VERY comfortable, linens were clean, and the breakfast/coffee at Main Street Coffee just below the apartment was amazing! The only minor things to mention - the WiFi password we were provided didn’t work and someplace to store personal bikes for those biking the trail would be a plus! But, these are VERY minor things and certainly doesn’t take away from the place. We love it and would definitely stay again!

Charming apartment right in the middle of town!

Great location right off the Creeper Trail! You can walk to park, bike shops, restaurants, brewery and shops. Apartment was exactly as described and very clean and had everything we needed for a fun 3 day visit. Owner lives in apartment on site and was very welcoming and friendly. Coffee shop and ice cream parlor below were a family favorite too. We rode the Creeper Trail one day and hiked in the Grayson Highlands State Park on the next day. Lots of local restaurants close on Monday and Tuesday (some also on Wed) so plan your visit accordingly.

Creeper Trail base-camp

The accommodations were fresh, clean, and new- matched the photos! It’s located upstairs over the coffee shop. Front sidewalk access or rear deck access to upstairs multiple apparent entrances. It’s an old building, so the floors creak and you can hear activities from below, but wasn’t an issue for us. Here’s your agenda… 7 AM coffee shop opens- cup of coffee and have breakfast there, or walk down a block to the Damascus Cafe… both are great. After breakfast, walk another block to the Blue Blaze for your bike rental and shuttle ride…. Then start an amazing adventure. We hosted our adult kids and enjoyed a long weekend in this beautiful area… we’ll be back again next Fall.
