We love this part of Georgia and this cabin. For anyone looking for a peaceful nature get away this is it. The cabin is in a perfect location within Bent Tree with lots of activities yet in a quiet part of the community that is near the back gat with easy access to downtown Jasper. We recommend for anyone to check it out for yourself and we will be back.
The place was in a nice area that allowed to get away from the city and craziness of every day life. Lots of outdoor activities. Only recommendation I have is to allow access through the back gate so that it is easier to get to the cabin.
We had a wonderful time on vacation. We had 5 adults and everyone had plenty of room and comfort. The house was well stocked. The spa was a grateful addition and was used 2-3 times each day. It is small but 2 adults fit into it comfortably. We texted with the owners a couple times and it was a pleasure to deal with them. We will definitely stay with them again.
We were there for a week to see my parents (who also live in the same community) and help them declutter. This house was the perfect place for my family to stay. The house was spacious for the four of us and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. The location was ideal for solitude. The 15 minute drive into town for groceries and restaurants was initially a turn off, but after the first trip to Ingles market and dinner at the Old Mule House (excellent food and service), we didn't mind it a bit. Check-in and check-out were easy, and communication with the owners was never a problem when we had a question. Our kids loved the trip to Amicalola Falls State Park and doing the "treasure hunt" that the owners have set up on the property. If available on our next trip see my parents, we would certainly rent this house again.
This property was everything and more. The beds were so comfy, and the kitchen was big enough for my Thanksgiving feast.
Owners were very accommodating and friendly.
In general everything was great. The place is cute and well appointed. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub and the pellet burning stove. Folks were responsive and helpful over texting. But, this place does currently have roach problem. Most things were clean in the house in general, but the dishes all had to be washed before being used because of all the roach poo. And yes we saw the roaches as well. This is a fixable problem but it needs doing. Also the stair hand rail seems unstable and should be secured. I hate giving this kind of review, but I fear it needs to be said. Just take of these issues because this can be a great place to stay.

Thank you. I am sorry you had a bad experience with bugs. We do have a regular exterminator and will most certainly address this issue. This is the first we have heard of this issue and the stair rail. Thank you for letting us know.
Overall experience was very good there was a hiccup with check in that took about 45 minutes to clear up but after a 10 hour ride it was a bit frustrating. The renter sent the forms but for some reason when I opened the email they were not there. Place was in a beautiful mountain setting thought the cleanliness was a bit lacking bunch of spider webs and bugs in the tub on the main floor.
Fantastic home with outstanding accommodations. Loved the kitchen - Bedrooms- living Room - jacuzzi- - Great host who knows what discerning travelers need - This is the place you want for a High Mountain stay - We will be back!
What a lovely cabin! Very well stocked & comfortable. We were a bit nervous during the drive in being we were pulling a car trailer and the roads are curvy and narrow at some points. Security was great the nicest people. They even found us a place to park our trailers since there isn’t room at the house. A beautiful area and all the deer was a bonus!
Loved the cabin in the woods. Roads were crazy steep and we were as far as could go I think. They are well maintained. The cabin was clean , had everything we needed. Enjoyed our stay!
We enjoyed staying at the cabin!! Our son was in ball tournament in Cartersville but was worth the drive!! The boys enjoyed kayaking… and we loved being surrounded by nature!! We saw beautiful deer each day!! We loved the driving range… and the Tavern restaurant!! The owners were very accessible with any questions!!
This property was amazing. And the community has alot to offer. We didnt use the pool but enjoyed hiking and the lake within BentTree. Denny Ridge hike was a bit strenuous,as listed, but a great one if you just take your time. The cabin was fully stocked and had plenty of space. The beds were very comfortable. Could have used a few more towels, but only because we dont like to use the same one for the hot tub and to shower with. The wildlife in the community is amazing we saw many many deer, some turkeys and a chipmunk. Our kids caught bass in Lake Tamarack and enjoyed a little kayaking. The roads leading to the cabin are steep and winding mountain road but nothing a 2 wheel drive cant handle, they are all paved, just mountain roads. We took a few different routes to arrive at the cabin and even the 1 gravel road we drove on didn't give any problems. Even the folks at the front gate we kind and friendly. We had a terrific stay and would return again if ever visiting the same area.
Jeanette was a fabulous host and was easily accessible by phone. The house was extremely clean and had everything you could need. It was quiet and tranquil. The views were phenomenal and the people were very nice and helpful inside the community.
Be aware: There ARE bears. We were lucky enough to see 3 black bears, deer, turtles, turkey, squirrels, and yes a snake. 😳
We look forward to our next stay!!!

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Extremely remote, hard to get to.
Residence was "o.k.", but location was extremely remote, and hard to get to over terribly narrow and winding roads, with no guardrails. Very dangerous! Otherwise, no remote for main t.v. and spa did not heat.

I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay. The TV has since been replaced with a remote that works. I wish you had let me know about about the heating problem with the spa. We have not had any issues with the spa since your visit.
The cabin was exactly as pictured. Very well stocked with everything you would need. Felt very safe staying here. Make sure you print out directions from gate to property. Enjoyed the deer and turkeys.
We love this cabin and have stayed here many times. The owners are a delight to work with. Always so friendly and eager to help if needed. We love the quiet location and the secure, gated community. We really enjoy hiking the trails within the community as well as the surrounding attractions. The cabin has everything you need for a carefree, relaxing stay. Can't wait to return!
We disappeared into this secluded cabin surrounded by beautiful fall foliage. It’s as romantic as romantic can get, especially the hot tub that looked out into the hillside views, we had plenty privacy. We asked for a map to the cabin when we arrived at the gate and was able to find the cabin after our second try. We had the perfect excuse to cuddle up in front of the fire place for a movie night, but the only thing that was missing were the pellets for the fireplace. I am certain the host was unaware there were no pellets, as she was wonderful. We were too unfamiliar to know what type of pellets to buy, but my husband was impressed with the directions on operating the pellet fireplace. A wonderful destination for hiking, fishing and getting back to nature. If I could rate the host, I would give her a supreme. I would give the cabin, the furnishings, and the fully equipped kitchen a superb. We enjoyed out stay so much I plan on talking to the host and making this an annual event for the two of us.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin! The home is very well appointed, clean, and everything we needed was there. It was very comfortable and the wildlife, scenery, and colors of late fall foliage around the cabin is spectacular! We saw at least a dozen deer in the backyard and 2 orange foxes, just while drinking our coffee. It was so relaxing. Lots of information was readily available in a very nicely put together binder. Unfortunately it wasn't cold enough for us to use the wood stove, and by the time we got back in the evenings we were all too tired from the day's activities to use the jacuzzi, but both looked very inviting!! Communication from the owners was excellent. We loved it!
Their cabin was awesome! And so clean! It was just what I needed.
For those of you reading to see if this is a good place to bring ankle-biters, you can stop reading. I got nothing for you.
At first I was a little nervous driving in the gated community. Everything was definitely in the mountains, but I was concerned that some of the houses, as nice as they were, were a bit close together. I was looking for a cabin in the woods where I couldn't see any houses or people.
Once I turned onto the actual street, I saw I had nothing to worry about. It was exactly the solitude I was looking for. The closest neighbors are in the back, and you have to really look through the leaves to see them. I didn't feel crowded at all.
Highlights: -The front porch has both a screened in and open section. All of the porch is under covering. It was great sitting outside on their comfy chairs, all bundled up, listening to the rain. - The main living room has a pretty nice home theatre speaker system. I was able to hook my phone into it and listen to my tunes. -The kitchen is great. I brought all of my food. The cooking utensils I forgot, they had. - There is a book they put together with lots of information. For me, all the info on the local hiking trails were great! I didn't go to all of them, but the ones I went to were spot on. I recommend the Forever Memorial Trail.
I hope I'll be able to come back here one day.
