Bring the Whole Family for an Unforgettable Getaway!

Welcome to your ultimate family vacation spot! With over 7,700 square feet of space, this is the perfect place for your extended family to gather and create lasting memories together. Our guests love it so much, they come back year after year.

Inside, there's plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have fun. Whether you're into table tennis, games, movies or just lounging around, we've got you covered. And outside? It's a paradise!

In the summer, the lake is where you'll spend most of your time. Our huge backyard is ideal for hosting games, relaxing or simply watching the ducks and boats float by. *The waterfront has a rocky shoreline so we recommend wearing water shoes to enter. Once you're in a few feet, it is sandy and shallow enough for kids to walk and swim.

If you're visiting in the winter, we have toboggans for some fun on our little hill right beside the house.

When the sun sets, gather around the fire pit in the backyard for some cozy family time under the stars. And no matter the season, we have two hot tubs - one for the kids to splash around in and one for the adults to relax and unwind.

We loved our one week stay here in September 26. The property on Pigeon Lake is beautiful! Being at the end of the road, combined with thoughtful landscaping, gave us total privacy, and the sunsets over the lake every evening were gorgeous. The lake itself was a joy, and we really appreciated the water toys, a nice bonus that isn't mentioned in the listing.For our group of eight, the house had far more space than we needed. It's two conjoined houses, so there's two of everything, plus plenty of nooks and crannies where people could slip away for some quiet reading time. Many of the bedrooms have great views. The kitchen in the main house (on the right, facing the lake) is very well equipped, and we cooked in it every day.Kelly the host was fantastic: flexible with our arrangements and great at communicating throughout. Stores are less than 15 minutes away, and Peterborough has everything you could want if you make the longer drive.We'd happily stay again!

We were 8 retired friends on a golf outing and stayed at Sunset Lake House for 3 days. It was perfect for our needs. They had everything you needed, and more. Also, dealing with the hosts was a sheer pleasure. For groups, this is the place.

Excellent offering for extended family or more than one family

Family gathering event, including ten adults and five children (aged 2-7). Facilities allow for sharing activities (both indoor and outdoor) as well as needed privacy when appropriate. Sunset Lake House helped a lot to family enjoyment: spacious, multiple meetings places, incredible sunsets. Master bedroom is excellent, with nice view, access to upper deck and complete. Rest of the rooms are adequate to accommodate small families. In-law cottage is also complete, though our extended family elected to use main cottage for dining altogether. Playroom in the lower level is complete, with several games to entertain children either on sunny or rainy days. TV sets available in most places. Two small jacuzzi in the lower level are good adings. Garden area is big and access to lake was well appreciated, host allowed use of gear to entertain in the lake deck and its arounds (no risk for children). Barbecues were prepared in the garden using the fireplace. In general, all needed tools were available in kitchen (for a significant crew - 15) and all bathrooms have what you may need. Supermarket located at about fifteen-minute drive and Costco at thirty minutes. Suggestion: both barbecue (propane) and oven required significantly cleaning before being used. Great place when ample facilities are needed. Will consider again for future gatherings.
