Everything we needed

This home is spacious. The kitchen is stocked with everything you may need. Rooms were clean. Different size bikes available to use and the location was great. Communication with property management was helpful to remedy a chirping smoke detector upon arrival.

This home was perfect for a short family weekend to round out Sumner. Close to Bend and Redmond, plus all resort amenities did not leave us with downtime or boredom :)

Loved it!

This house worked perfectly for our short getaway for a family wedding. The home was beautiful and had everything we needed. We had a problem with the lock on the front door not working properly. I contacted the host and the maintenance man was sent right out to fix it. We would definitely stay there again!!

Duplex worked well for our quick stay while we attended a music festival in Redmond. It is a 15 min drive from the fairgrounds. AC worked well. House is spacious and well-stocked. Garage is spacious, and has two adult bikes and 2 kid bikes. There is no hot tub as the listing indicates. Back porch is “cozy” but peaceful with neighbors all around.

Stay for family reunion

It was a short stay and it was OK. A few things the refrigerator needs a new filter and the icemaker didn't work. The ad that I saw said the couch was a hideabed it wasn't but we did find a blow up mattress that was serviceable. Other than those few items - we were able to sleep fairly well. We had a great reunion at my sons place!

Large, tidy home in Eagle Crest

The home itself had everything we needed. It was great that it was pet friendly but the yard is not fenced. You absolutely have to take your dogs out on a leash and the yard is very small. I got the impression that some of the neighbors were less than pleased that the home was a rental. We had someone yell at us to make sure we took our dog out on a leash while we had the dog on a leash. Then they let us know we should not "tie our dog out" which we would never do. Be sure if you stay here you want a very quiet experience and do not mind having neighbors sitting on her back porch within about 15 feet. Otherwise, the convenience to the Deschutes County fair ground where he went for an equestrian event was great in the area has lots of easy hiking.

Horrible Experience

I would be very careful when you book with VRBO. They do not remedy bad stays. I also would NOT book a place that is managed by Meridith Lodging. The place was filthy. Urine stained carpet in every room. Ice maker broken. Patio chairs broken. BBQ extremely dirty. Broken light fixtures. With 10 minutes of walking on laminate floors my daughter in laws NEW socks were black. Garbage overflowing in cans in the garage. Upon arrival garbage in kitchen full as well. Place smelled horrible, dirty.

Broken A/C

The duplex is beautiful and has nice features. While it was clean, it needed a deeper clean done. The base boards and bathroom floor corners have not been dusted for some time. Long black hairs were found in the corners of multiple bathrooms. We did not care enough to ask for it to be cleaned again because the sinks, toilets and the house was generally clean. However, when I wiped up something from the kitchen floor, the paper towel was filthy. So it appeared to have been cleaned on a very surface level. The major issue we had was that the heat pump was not keeping the house cool. A repair was scheduled but we had to go more than 24 hours with no cool air in 100 degree heat. The home was hotter than 80 degrees inside at 10 pm. It was still 80 degrees outside so opening windows brought no relief. The management team sent box fans. They did not help. We found other box fans in the house so it appears they already knew the unit wasn’t doing a good job. The AC unit had not been serviced since 2022. They had a ceiling fan but we could not get it to turn on. There is a switch on the wall to activate the fan but no switches were labeled as ‘fan’ as stated in the instructions so we could not get it to work. The ice maker in the refrigerator was not working. Ice trays were in the freezer but they were cracked, broken and leaking. Because of the excessive heat, and the front bedroom does not have blackout curtains, that room was very hot and bright in the very early morning (5 am).
