I grew up in Narrows and my grandparents lived a little further down Wolf Creek. This lodge was the perfect place for a "mini" family reunion to celebrate my mom's birthday and reminded all of us how much we loved Wolf Creek. It is on a beautiful stretch of the creek that is shallow enough for young kids to wade and deep enough to swim if you wish. The yard is huge and great for soccer, badminton and just running around. Bring wood (or buy it locally) because you will want to spend time around the fire pit roasting marshmallows and enjoying the night. We hosted local family for evening meals and the kitchen and eating area was plenty big enough. I agree with other reviews that a big table would be nice for meals and a few more Pyrex casserole dishes would make cooking easier. We absolutely loved our stay and will most definitely book another vacation here!

Clean and Comfy

Our group of 9 adult family members very much enjoyed their stay at the cabin. Everything was in working order and the amenities covered all the bases. Some sort of dining or game table would have been a nice addition as we were inside much of the time due to rainy weather.

Beautiful and amazing weekend getaway

My family loved this house! It was clean, spacious, and had more than enough sleeping accommodations. We spent a lot of time in the stunning backyard, where we went tubing in the creek and made smores by the fire pit. I would definitely book this house again and would recommend it to others!

Wonderful Stay

We had a great stay at this home. This spacious house was very clean and had every amenity we needed. The location is somewhat secluded, but close to town. We would stay here again if visiting the area!

Relaxation

Thought the traffic on the road on the other side if the creek was more than anticipated but the property was very nice. A large dining table would have been nice for our adult group of 8 but the island sufficed. Overall would definitely stay again.

Amazing holiday weekend

House was immaculate. Big. Comfortable, Very well stocked and equipped. Great and quick communication with owners. Easy in and out. We had 6 adults and one toddler and really enjoyed the wide open space both inside and out. River and views are beautiful. Narrows has a very nice IGA within minutes of the house. Would definitely return for family time.

What a GEM!

This property is perfect for a family get-a-way. It’s privately located and has one of the best spots on the creek. Great for swimming, fishing and light tubing. It has tons of space both indoor and outdoor. The only downsides were not much closet space, the master bath doesn’t have much counter space and it did not have a dining table for family dinners, but it did have plenty of bar seating. Overall it’s the perfect spot for relaxing, camp fires at night and bird watching.

Wonderful weekend adventure

Wonderful getaway, beautifully maintained, kitchen had everything we needed, fun coffee bar. Beds and pillows were Hilton Honors comfortable. We were 20 minutes from cascade waterfall of VA which was a fun hike. Lots of fishing in the river. Great communication from the property manager. Already booked another trip for August.

Relaxing on the River's Edge

We had such an amazing time! Waking up every morning to such a beautiful view was just the vacation we needed. Sitting out on the deck with a cup of coffee and hearing the river rapids whooshing past was soothing. We caught some trout, saw a mother and baby deer cross past the kitchen bay window, and even held a spaghetti dinner with our relatives that live in Narrows. Great memories and we are already planning for a return trip.

Wedding prep retreat

Hurricane Helene came through just prior to our visit. The property management was extremely communicative of the status of the property, and worked quickly to prepare it for our stay. Our group was preparing for my son’s wedding. The creek gave the men some reprieve from the buckets and bouquets of flowers being crafted on the expansive kitchen island and wedding paraphernalia covering the bay window seat, the many stools around the Island and the LR fireplace hearth. There were plenty of pots and pans to prepare a meal for all 12 of us, and the separate coffee bar was most helpful with that many people mulling around in a sleepy stupor on early mornings. We all took turns enjoying a shower in the expansive master bathroom. Note that there is one large mirror in that bathroom only. The other bath upstairs has a small mirror, but it is not sufficient for all of the primping that ensued. With multiple families staying here, we had to be very thoughtful in who all would stay in the upstairs bedroom that contains most of the sleeping spaces, And who would get the honor of sleeping in the single king bed in the large master bedroom. After returning from a long day at the event location in WV, we relaxed in the Adirondack chairs on the back deck. The sound of the creek running over rocks serenaded us as we counted millions of stars with no light pollution. It was a perfect house for everyone in our group.

House in the river

What a wonderful experience. We went in May and enjoyed it so much we came back in Aug. splashing, swimming, floating and fishing plus a wonderful place to stay, connect, and rest. Already looking forward to 2024 to rebook.
