About this property

New River Riverfront | Hot Tub + Kayaks | Trophy Muskie Fishing | Near VT

Big Fish Getaways
“Catch memories, not just fish.”

Wake up to the sound of the New River, step outside to fish or kayak, and end your day in a private hot tub overlooking the water.

Sleeps 6+ · 3 Bedrooms · 2 Baths · Separate Guest Cottage

Direct river access · Complimentary kayaks · 30 min to Virginia Tech · Pet-friendly

The Layout
This property is designed for flexibility — whether you’re a family, a group of friends, or a mix of both.

The main house has two bedrooms: a primary suite with a king bed and a second bedroom with twin beds, ideal for kids or additional guests. The full kitchen and large dining table are made for shared meals, and the living room sofa sleeper handles overflow when you need it.

The real differentiator is the separate Little House — a private guest cottage with a queen bed and its own full bathroom. It’s ideal for couples who want their own space, grandparents traveling with family, or friends who don’t want to share a wall.

On the Water

This isn’t “near” the river. You’re on it.

Step out the back door and you’re standing on one of the most productive muskie fishing stretches of the New River. Smallmouth bass fishing is excellent year-round, and trophy muskie are regularly landed on this section. Complimentary kayaks are included — fish at sunrise, float in the afternoon, and never leave the property.

Outdoor Living
The large deck overlooks the river and centers around a private hot tub with open water views. Coffee at sunrise. Wine at sunset. River all day.

Virginia Tech & Radford University
Lane Stadium is 30 minutes away — this property books fast on football weekends, so plan ahead. Radford University is just 20 minutes out, making it an easy base for graduations, campus visits, and family weekends at both schools.

More to Explore
• New River Trail: 57 miles of biking and walking along the river, accessible nearby
• Golf: Pete Dye River Course in Fairlawn is 10 minutes away; Auburn Hills, Draper Valley, and Castle Rock in Pembroke are all within reach
• Hiking: Cascade Falls and Jefferson National Forest within easy reach
• Breweries, wineries & distilleries: Local craft options throughout Radford and Blacksburg

Evenings at the River
Grill on the deck, soak in the hot tub, and watch the river go dark. No crowds. No noise. Just the New River.

Pets
We welcome dogs — $50 per pet at check-in. Adventures are better with your whole crew.

Guest Access
Guests have full access to the main house, the Little House, the deck, hot tub, and direct river frontage.

Stunningly beautiful. We had a great stay. The river access and views are incredible. The house had everything we needed. The location, besides being right in the river was closer to town than we thought. So that was a nice convenience. Great host and great house. We can’t wait to come back.

Clean and peaceful! Well appointed kitchen and tastefully decorated. The little cottage was perfect for the couple with a baby staying with us. Lovely to drink coffee watching a family of deer in the yard by the river!

Pretty spring stay

We had a nice visit at the property-3 adults, 1 teen, and 1 small dog. We enjoyed kayaking, time in the hot tub, and sitting on the back porch watching the birds ( and trains!). Easy to get to radford for a college tour. The small house was great for our 17 year old. We’d stay again happily !

Belspring New River Retreat

We especially liked the larger dining room table and how quiet the area was. Fully equipped kitchen. And while you definitely felt in the country, because you were, the Wal Mart and various restaurants were only about 10 minutes away down some lovely country roads.

Hidden Gem on the New River

Wonderful property in stunning location. Main home with spacious deck slopes to waterfront with beautiful river view. Inside very well equipped and comfortable. Bonus cabin provides separate private living/sleeping space with its own balcony with river view. Great find in private, rural location.

Family meeting location for graduation

The house was perfect for getting family in one place from all over for graduation. Clean, tidy and nicely maintained. The only reason I chose 4 stars was I really did not understand from the listing that the 3rd bedroom with the ensuite was in a separate building and it had a very high step. I had wanted to use that ensuite room for my elderly parents but neither of them could make the step. The trains were frequent but I did not hear one train whistle, so I got used to them quickly.

Belspring Getaway

We loved the daily moods of the ancient, majestic New River. From the floating fog motes above the river at dawn to the fireflies dancing on the lawn at dusk, the feeling of peace was pervasive. Floating and fishing from the kayaks was great fun! The fish are plentiful and wise - our bait was taken far more frequently than I care to admit - but we were able to “catch and release” a two-pound “smallie” and numerous other vigorous fish. The cottage was clean, comfortable and very thoughtfully and generously provisioned.

Lovely home and property

Everything was great. The house was super clean. The yard was huge with a wonderful view of the river. The extra apartment was very nice with its own cute balcony. The hot tub was very clean and had a great view at night! The lady that did check in was super nice and helpful. She answered my text right away. You do lose reception but they have WiFi so it doesn’t really matter. It was a great property and would definitely recommend and stay again!
