Bug Infested
Upon arriving to the rental, we were met by spiders, roaches, and unknown black bugs throughout the home. They were in the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, crawling up the dining room chairs, and in the living room areas. We reached out to the local contact. She did not respond until we contacted Evolve. We asked if she could bring bug spray to get us through the night. The local contact never bought us the bug spray, never had the exterminator show up as she stated she would. Instead, she bought us shampoo and q-tips and told us the bugs don't bite, which is an awful excuse. There were no pillow cases for 2 of the 3 bedrooms, insufficient towels in the bathrooms, damp towels and laundry in the dryer. The rental was not properly cleaned. The kitchen floor was dirty. Hair was in the bathroom sink and tub. The local contact bought us pillow cases and advised that she would come the next morning and bring us more towels since there were hardly any in the rental and she took the towels that I began to dry since they were left there previously. When asked what time she would be coming the next morning, she said it was Bike Week and she wanted to sleep in. She never came back, never responded, or called again for the remainder of our stay. We had to go and buy our own cleaning supplies and bugs spray to clean the home to prevent bugs from crawling all over us, especially while we slept. We had to eat out for every meal as the kitchen has bugs in the cabinets and it did not feel sanitary even after we cleaned. There were greasy pots and bowls under the cabinets that had not been washed. The patio was filthy. I had to reach out to Evolve a few times for a status update. A one star rating is too high. Our vacation was ruined and a disaster.
