About this property

Applegarth Cottage - Cozy Little Slice of Robertson w/ Fascinating History

Our family loves Applegarth and we hope that you do too. It is five acres of seclusion, yet only 800 metres down the road from the iconic Robertson Hotel. You get the whole acreage to yourself. Whether it’s a brilliant blue day or it’s shrouded in atmospheric ‘Robertson mist’ you feel like you have escaped from the world into a slice of Highlands calm.

There are views from the back balcony across Robertson and down into the Kangaroo Valley - the sunsets from here can be magnificent. They look particularly good with a glass of wine or a slice of cheese, (from the nearby ‘cheese factory’ specialist store perhaps) in your hand. The balcony also looks down onto our own small patch of Robertson’s native Yarrawa Brush temperate rainforest. On the property, there are many grassy areas for strolling or playing as well as other Yarrawa remnants. Somehow there are also two iconic Wollemi pines growing strong near the House too.

In the house itself there an open fireplace (atmosphere plus!) and a combustion stove (atmosphere, plus practicality). The kitchen is fully stocked to create your own country meals, or you can order takeaway from the iconic ‘Pizzas in the Mist’. There are plenty of places to curl up with a book, play a game or watch TV. You may want to explore the local sights of Robertson and the beautiful surrounding area. Or you may just never want to leave.

Either way, we hope you enjoy Applegarth.

Whilst I would recommend this property I had to waste time recording all the damage to be sure that we were not held responsible. We had two toddlers with us but no crayons etc and found one of the dining chairs with drawing all over it.The presented well on initial
