A Gem on the lake

This wonderful lake house was very spacious, well furnished and on a beautiful part of lake Sturgeon. The lake is great for swimming, boating and fishing! Our family also enjoyed the big spa and pool. The host and management was very nice and accommodating. We would definitely come back and recommend for all!

Great Place!

Amazing location between Bobcaygeon and Fenelon falls (a little closer to Bobcaygeon) on a quiet road. It was amazing the home came with lots of water craft fun eg canoe, pedal boat and kayaks.. The water isn’t too deep at the docks which made it perfect for the little ones to walk around in and with a total of six kids under the ages of 8 and 6 adults there was no shortage of room for everyone.

Location was excellent. Lots of non motorized water sports equipment available. Water was nice and shallow which was great for the kids. Lots of fridge and freezer space available. Kitchen was well equipped dual oven was a bonus. Not all rooms were air conditioned. A lot of the dining chairs were in need of maintenance. Hot tub was green most of the week despite adding treatment daily and having the tub drained and refilled. Barbecue was very difficult to cook on due multiple hot spots. Bathroom doorknob fell off first day. One bathroom upstairs was out of order. Property was over grown with weeds. Despite some of these flaws we still enjoyed our week together at this property.

Water Issues

Overall, it was a nice stay at a beautiful location. Unfortunately we ran out of water on a few occasions where our children were unable to take a proper shower. The property manager did have a water truck arrive to refill the well, however, we were checking out that day. The kitchen also had some garbage and recycling from the previous guests and all 3 bins in the garage were all full.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the beautiful location of our property. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the water shortage and the oversight with the garbage and recycling. While we’re happy we were able to arrange a water refill, we understand that it came too late to fully resolve the issue during your stay. Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities, and we will work to ensure that this does not happen again for future guests. We also regret that the kitchen was not up to our usual cleanliness standards, and we will address this with our cleaning team to prevent it from recurring. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for an even better experience in the future. Please contact me at realestate@thebridggroup.ca or at 289-371-1903 for an opportunity for a special offer and discount for your next stay!

Not as advertised

When we got there we instantly noticed the property was worn down. We were told right away that the people before us ruined the hot tub but would be fixed by Wednesday (half our trip) They came and refilled the hot tub but it wasn’t working saying heater issues. The property manager sent someone to fix it and it worked for about 45 min. We then all gave up our hopes for the hot tub. We were extremely disappointed as that was a huge reason we chose this cottage. There were some safety issues a sink hole near the front door, umbrellas tilting over, a rusted out bbq that was disgusting. The carpets in the bed rooms are extremely dirty and fraying making it a tripping hazard. The dryer was not working it had a code 95 on it (property manager came and fixed it). The code for the door was not working (property manager had to change batteries). We tried to make the best of it. The couches in the games room were torn to shreds. The faux leather was all peeled off and only left with fabric strands. It was worse than a frats house. We are hoping to be well compensated for the fact we were unable to use the hot tub at all during our stay. The property manager said the owners should be in contact with us and we are expecting this will happen. We have pictures of everything that I have stated here if anyone wished to see them. Overall we paid over $8000 for less then par. Pros- it was clean, great fishing, lots of water activities. But there were LOTS of cons for us.

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations and that you encountered several issues during your stay. First and foremost, we sincerely apologize for the problems with the hot tub. We understand how disappointing it must have been, especially since it was a key reason for choosing the property. While our team did their best to address the issue during your stay, it’s clear that the solution fell short, and for that, we are deeply sorry. We also appreciate you bringing the safety concerns, such as the sinkhole, tilting umbrellas, and the state of the BBQ, carpets, and couches, to our attention. We take these matters seriously and are already addressing these issues to ensure that they do not affect future guests. We understand your frustration regarding the various maintenance issues, such as the door code and dryer. While we’re glad our property manager was able to assist, these problems should have been addressed prior to your arrival. We are committed to improving our maintenance protocols. We appreciate the positive notes about the cleanliness, fishing, and water activities, but we also recognize that the cons you experienced outweighed these positives. We want to assure you that we are reviewing the property condition and will be conducting a thorough assessment to make necessary repairs and upgrades. Regarding your request for compensation, we understand the impact the hot tub and other issues had on your stay, and we will be in touch shortly to discuss how we can make this right. Thank you again for your valuable feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in the future. Please contact me at realestate@thebridggroup.ca or at 289-371-1903 for an opportunity for a special offer and discount for your next stay!
