Great weekend of wine hopping in the region, centralized location made it easy to get from vineyard to home. Also had a great weekend watching the circle of life as the active cow field surrounding the property had 3 new calf's born, amazing experience.
Great stay! The house was just like the pictures and we loved the little homey touches. We appreciated the guest book with suggestions on local food/wineries. Would stay there again.
Loved our stay! Close to the wineries and Mount Airy. Well equiped kitchen (unfortunately, only 3 fresh eggs while we were there, not enough for the 4 of us, but delicious). Very peaceful with beautiful views. Could have used a pullout couch, but the couch that was there was comfortable. Very nice sitting on the front porch, the screened-in porch and the back swing. Maybe more outdoor chairs would be good. We highly recommend this place.
We were absolutely thrilled with our choice! The house, surroundings and just overall stay could not have been more perfect! Thankfully the weather cooperated and we were able to enjoy some front porch sitting!! We will definitely be back!
This was by far the best place I have ever stayed at. The farm house was beautiful and very relaxing. Nothing better than being surrounded by farm land. Farm fresh eggs from the chicken coop in the back every morning. The view of the sunset and sunrise was romantic to watch with my fiance. When i come back to Mt Airy this is the only place i want to stay at.
This property is gorgeous! Everything was perfect. My kids loved the farm and seeing the cows and chickens. The screened in back porch was perfect for games at night. The house was beautiful. We will definitely stay again!
The house and property were awesome. Even the three teenagers were very impressed.

Peacefully Perfect
Lovely home away from home! Clean and plenty of room for our family of 4. Convenient to all the places we needed to be. Quiet and peaceful. We will be back!
This place is a tranquil as it looks. Front porch swing and rocking chairs to enjoy the sunsets. Back swing s to enjoy the sunrise. Close to restaurants, but mostly just relaxing.
This is such a quiet country setting with some of the most beautiful farmfield and hills sunrises and sunsets you could hope for! If you are looking for a place where time has stood still, away from the hectic crowds of work and the city, you can call this paradise!
We Enjoyed our stay at this house. It was clean, peaceful, and everything we needed for our weekend getaway. The check in email had every detail included, including where to park and how to enter the house. The house is clean with linens and towels provided. The coffee maker is a keurig/pod which is what we like to use and they even left us some fresh eggs, which were delicious for breakfast. We loved watching the cows in the field grazing too! Perfect location to the Shelton Vineyards, Dobson, and Mt. Airy.
Everything was perfect! Peaceful surroundings yet close to so many things to do. Visited several wineries and they all are so friendly. Be sure to check out Haze Gray and Grassy Creek Vineyards. A trip to Mt Airy is so worth it with all of the shops and places to see. Coming back to the farm in the evenings and cooking dinner watching sunset was perfect! Definitely will stay again if back in the area!

Idyllic location!
Very clean. Well stocked. Coffee maker is a Keurig, so bring pods not ground coffee. Hosts provided cooking spray, oil, and some spices which was a very nice touch! We also enjoyed watching the cows and seeing the chickens.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Warm and cozy! This house was great for our stay. Very Traditional 1940’s house. The only negative I could come up with , was that the only toilets are downstairs and stairs half asleep for those who have to get up in the middle of the night and navigate is not optimal. I didn’t get that from the posting. I actually thought the full bath was upstairs and the half bath was downstairs. I Also wish the electric fireplace had been in the family room for a more ambiance. It’s a nice touch but we didn’t use it at all , tucked back in the bedroom.
Lovely old house, has been nicely renovated...the windows need de-spidering, as well as the house. Per my usual, I had to vacuum under the couch cushions upon arrival. Everything else was clean and neat. We were a bit disappointed in the bath linens, they are the thin, white, rough ones like you see in a less expensive hotel. There needs to be more window treatments, downstairs, as to have better privacy, especially at night. The upstairs is always hot ..no matter what you do.(Fans are provided☺️).Sleeping up there is a challenge. Opening up the windows is not always an option for ppl with allergies, I'm sure that may have helped in April...probably not in the summer. There isn't a place for a family to eat together only 4 stools in the kitchen (2 for an island counter and 2 for a side bar) but there is a patio table in the enclosed porch area. Weather permitting, it's a nice place to be. But I imagine when weather is not optimal, like this past weekend, eating on the porch wouldn't work. There are no cleaning supplies in obvious places. We snooped and found what we needed. Overall, a great getaway and it's super nice to also have farm fresh eggs provided!
