Old Chief Bunkhouse - ranch with views of Chief Mountain
Our ranch is nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Rocky Mountains, between Glacier National Park (US) & Waterton National Park (CA), with "Boundary Creek" running through our property. "Old Chief" Mountain - famous for its majestic beauty, and legends that are part of its history, watches over us on the Ranch. We have recently developed our basement in the hopes of giving others the opportunity to experience life on the ranch.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items and remove leftover food and drinks
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please leave all bedding and linens on the beds, as we like to spot check everything before it goes to the laundry. This is actually easier for us to do, if you leave everything on the bed.
Please leave all used towels in the bath tub, or in the hampers provided.
We will take care of the garbage. We will be happy to put away the clean dishes once the cycle is complete.
Please put all dirty dishes in the dishwasher. The dishwasher pods are beneath the kitchen sink. Please sprinkle a little bit of lemi-shine loosely in the dishwasher, as this gives a sparkle finish.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

About the host
Hosted by Terry Duce
We are a 2nd generation ranch family that love the land of freedom that we live in, as well as the lifestyle that country living offers.
Mom and Dad began their ranching venture in 1967, the centennial year of the Province of Alberta. They were married in 1959 and had a dream to build a home and ranch of their own.
We feel blessed to be able to continue what Mom and Dad worked so hard to establish.
Shayne and I (Terry) were married in 1982 and Shayne drove out from Cardston, every chance he could, to help on the ranch.
Shayne and I moved on to the ranch in 1989. We have been part of helping with the operation, of raising Registered Quarter Horses, as well as Red Angus/Charolais cross cattle.
Our ranch is nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Rocky Mountains, with the “Boundary Creek” running through our property. “Old Chief” Mountain - famous for its majestic beauty, and legends that are part of its history, watches over us on the Ranch.
Shayne and I have raised 5 children – Kash, Colt, Darci, Calin, Shayna. We have 14 grandchildren and 1 more coming in October. We love our family; and they play a significant role in everything we do. Our family all love horses, and can be found riding horses, participating in rodeos, brandings, trail riding, and training horses. Shayne and the boys do the training and marketing, and the girls and I support and cheer them on in their work and play. We have always tried to work and play together, as much as we can. Each of our children and spouses have their own lives and are working hard to accomplish their own family goals and dreams, but there is a spirit of love, laughter, and joy when we are all together. Shayne and I feel extremely blessed with the story we have created with our family.
Why they chose this property
The landscape is breathtaking, when it is green and lush, but the Mountains can be awe inspiring in every season of the year.
Wildlife abounds – we see deer, elk, moose, coyotes, bear, badgers, gophers, and bird in many varieties. The songs of the frogs and the crickets from the creek bed are delightful in the mornings and evenings. The Sunsets and Star Constellations in the Skies are inspiring to the mind. We live in the hub of many scenic and historical attractions that can accommodate almost any interest. Perhaps, the most enticing is the natural beauty and peace of the country.
