We needed a central location to attend the Glengarry Highland Games and this was perfect.A nice quiet place at the end of a busy day.Everything you need to unplug and relax.
Very nice and quiet place with a great view of the lake; however, the firepit was farther away from the cottage than we expected.

Thank you for your feedback Karen, there are fire regulations that require open fire pits to be a distance from homes/buildings for safety . I’m so happy you enjoyed your stay. Have a wonderful day. S🌸
This place is wonderful if you are looking for peace and quiet. It is a great place to go to relax and also a nice base if you want to make a quick run to Montreal or Ottawa.
Illya’s place is very comfy. It was a nice place to get away from the city. The property has huge outdoor space where you can swim and fish the lake. Our family had a great time. The place has a waterless toilet ang outdoor shower.
Our very first impression when we pulled up was WOW! The property is beautifully groomed, flat, with a fabulous view of the lake. The cottage was perfect with everything we could possibly need. There were 4 of us and there was plenty of room. If you're looking for peace and serenity away from the city, this is it! Our hosts were also amazing!
We loved our visit here. My kids (6-8) loved it so much they already want to go back and we just left. It’s beautiful, cozy, relaxing, and overall great. So much land to play, a dock to go in the water if you bring your own boat. At night we had a camp fire. If you needed to go to the store it’s only 15 minutes away. We even enjoyed the outdoor shower. I can’t wait to go back. The property managers were so kind and helpful, I was able to reach out to them and they were always quick to answer any questions we had. Highly recommend!

Very lovely location. Large lakeside lot with plenty of seating and lounging areas, some in sun, some in shade. Really excellent views and so peaceful. Generally I would recommend this property based on that alone. The cabin was quite good but really needed cleaning of cobwebs etc. and some insect spray in and out. Facilities inside were reasonable. We had trouble with the toilet not flushing but that problem was resolved with some 'technique coaching' from owner. We waited 30 minutes for that call back, which was a tense time for us.Our problem getting hot water to the outside shower was never really resolved. Cold showers are not my thing. We left a day early. All in all, I think this property has great potential and just needs some better maintenance. I would consider returning if that is done.
Great place to stay on the water. Everything needed was supplied.Loved the outdoor shower. Close to all local towns. Host is very professional and responds quickly. Only thing needed is wifi.

It was such a pleasure hosting Sharon and I’m happy to hear your stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I hope you had a safe drive home and will stay at my cottage sgain. 😊
A beautiful cottage cabin by the lake, very clean, spacious and cosy with a warm fire pit by the water. Neighbours were closer than expected, but they left mid stay allowing for a serene experience.
Quaint and clean cottage sits on top of a hill and lots of property to roam, views of the lake and amazing sunsets. The sounds of the loons and frogs and birds truly reminded you that you were surrounded by nature. Even showering outdoors was an experience. We brought our inflatable kayaks and it was nice to get out on the water. There’s a new BBQ, a big fire pit and the property really offers you what you’d like to have to enjoy time away from the hustle and bustle of it all. Just as seen in the listing, there is no couch in the livingroom. We moved a daybed from one of the rooms into the livingroom so we could be comfortable visiting together inside when the mosquitos got bad at night. It was a great 2 night getaway. Sandra was responsive and very friendly.
