Thank you for coming again! You are honestly such a pleasure to host and you are very considerate. Looking forward to you staying again.
We had an excellent time staying here! The host was great about communication, had no problem with us being a few minutes late at checkout, and left us a very nice little surprise. 10 out of 10, will definitely stay here again if we are visiting the area. Highly recommend!
Our stay was wonderful. Everything you need was provided and everything is accurate as described. Very comfortable and beautifully furnished place. Host was very kind and accommodating. Highly recommended and hope to be back soon!
Our family needed a place to stay close to a larger family Christmas gathering.Jessica’s place provided that for us within half an hour drive of the Legion.
The host was accommodating and good at communicating. Apartment is spacious. The kitchen is small, but functional. Overall we had a great stay and suited our needs.
I would recommend.

You guys are always a pleasure. Looking forward to seeing you guys soon. Enjoy paradise until then.
Excellent experience staying in the basement apartment. Large, spacious, says it would sleep 6 but could definitely fit more people in on couches or mattresses. Property was exactly as shown in ad. A railing coming down the stairs (steep staircase) would be recommended for safety. Host was great with responding to questions. Will definitely use this place again when in the area.
We booked for 38 days. The place wasn't clean upon arrival... an incredible about of cobwebs, dust and dirt in all corners, hair all around the washing machine and washroom. The host knew we were coming with a baby but instead provided us with all the cleaning products, mop, bucket, cleaning solutions to basically do it ourselves. We wanted to leave right away but the vrbo platform said no refunds after a set date so we sucked it up thinking we had to stay. 26 days into our stay, we encountered a mouse. The host rudely requested us to look for droppings around the unit... We ended up purchasing traps to catch it ourself. 3 days before the end of our stay we encountered a second mouse that ran back and forth through the living room where our baby would play. The host refused any reimbursement.

I am not sure what to say about this stay. Overall she was demanding, rude, requested things outside the realm of a VRBO stay. I continued to be hospitable and gracious, even brought them some wine and offered assistance when their child was ill. The property is in Canada, and they continued to leave doors open to the outside approaching fall, and mice got in. I offered solutions and asked for her input, she told me to get a cat in my garage and that they were fine. She sighted that they have a big family and doors need to remain open when they are going in and out of the house. I provided them cleaning products, because they were a larger booking, and I would assume that she would want to wash floors and maintain the unit, as she had kids. I believe that she took that as an insult, or maybe she was expecting a cleaning service. In the 38 days they stayed, it looks like the brand new mop was barely used. The suite was mopped with bleach and a cleaner, as always, prior to their stay, I had to have professional cleaners come after their stay, and the mop water was almost - an opaque dark brown/grey. Being a mother of three myself, I felt it was important to have the necessary cleaning supplies on hand. Past stays have always taken care of these details, but she was a long stay and I wanted her to feel appreciated. She claims uncleanliness, but she only claimed this after I realized that I was being swindled, she was perfectly fine with the accommodation the 37 days prior and on the very last hour asking for a partial refund. We had an issue with the water heater too, and although she was in the unit, and I attempted to knock, call, email her to rectify that there was no hot water, it took her over a day to reach out to say that there wasn’t hot water, even with children in the home, I believe that paints a picture regarding their own cleanliness. I see many situations like this on the forums, and I maintain a high ranking with all my guests in my properties, because I accommodate to the point of undue hardship. When I refused to give her a partial refund, she claimed I was racist. There are so many things to add, but I am not here to tear anyone down. It was a learning experience. Overall, the place wasn’t in a bad state when she left. I incurred a large bill due to her negligence, but it is par for the course. For the first time doing VRBO, my take away was that she, not the rest of her family, made me feel uncomfortable in my home. Fortunately I’m a veteran, and I document everything, and much of what she says is far from truthful. I think that is important to consider should you choose to rent to her. That and being called a racist, that is one thing I’ve never been called in my life, but I feel like she may use that frequently to win arguments. Wish her and her family the best
My wife, son and I booked a 14 day stay at this location. On the DAY OF CHECK IN - the host cancels the reservation due to a gas leak in the basement (the gas line was a plastic hose). NO hote water. My wife, son, myself, and our two dogs - no place to go.Why did she not check out her gas lines any sooner?Anyway - trying to get another 14 day stay for my family and two dogs - virtually impossible. VRBO was not of any help either. The host "was so sorry" and said she would communicate with us in case it was fixed - but ZERO RESPONSE the entire time we were there. We were eventually forced to stay at a hotel (?) in Vaughan - a 1.5 hr round trip drive away - if we wanted to see our friends and family in East Gwillimbury. Needless to say - the host - Jessica - did a fantastic job of ruining our two week vacation in Toronto. We ended up leaving the Toronto area a week early to return home. Dissapointed family and friends in the Newmarket area.
