The positives: The house is in a great location, with the beach and the village both just a short walk away. The bathrooms are relatively new and therefore in good condition.Unfortunately, despite these positives, we cannot recommend the house. We found it in a rather poorly maintained and unclean condition. Some areas were genuinely dirty, and the rooms—especially downstairs—had a musty smell. The mattresses were also far from comfortable.The outdoor area was dirty as well. We had to thoroughly clean the tables and chairs before we felt comfortable eating there. There was also an unpleasant smell when opening the cupboards, and they are clearly in need of a proper cleaning.Another thing that surprised us was that it was not clear at the time of booking that guests are expected to completely clean the house themselves at the end of their stay. Alternatively, we were offered a 100 cleaning fee. This information should definitely be stated clearly in the listing so that guests know what to expect before booking.Overall, while the location and the bathrooms are positive aspects, the cleanliness and general condition of the house unfortunately meant that we were disappointed with our stay.

Das Ferienhaus ist sehr gemütlich und gut ausgestattet.Der Vermieter ist sehr korrekt und sehr sympathisch.Anfragen werden umgehend beantwortet. Wir hatten uns mit 5 Personen angemeldet, für den Vermieter war es kein Problem, dass wir noch Familienbesuch von zwei zusätzlichen Personen hatten.

Vacances à Wissant fin avril, début mai 2025

Maison spatieuse et agréable pour famille avec enfants. Manque de places assises dans le salon si 8 personnes présentes. Petit regret pour l'absence de wifi. Nous avons passé un excellent sejour dans cette maison familiale. Nos petits enfants ont adoré ce séjour à Wissant que nous connaissions dèjà et sommes prêts à y revenir encore.

Lage super, Haus mittelmäßig

Das einchecken hat gut geklappt. Das Haus war im großen und ganzen sauber, es ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Der Vermieter sollte investieren um die etlichen kleinen Mängel zu beheben. Die Lage ist super, man ist in ein paar Minuten zu Fuß am Strand. Das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Nebenstraße.

Maison bien équipée dans une rue calme, à 5 minutes à pied de la plage.

Excellent accueil du propriétaire, maison confortable avec un équipement complet (il y a même 2 réfrigérateurs et la salle de douche au rdc a été refaite récemment). Nous avons apprécié la proximité de la plage et des commerces locaux et la beauté des paysages autour de Wissant. Nous reviendrons volontiers.

Bonne situation au calme et non loin du centre. Propreté très acceptable et bon logement pour 8 adultes ! Parking privé pour une voiture (voire deux si la seconde ne bouge pas de trop). Attention: l'entrée vers l'emplacement est assez étroite !

Super séjour, je recommande !

Nous avons passé un super séjour. La maison est très bien équipée, spacieuse et très agréable. Le jardin est sympa et calme. Le logement est à 5 minutes à pied de la plage. On peut garer 2 voitures dans l'allée. Parfait pour 2 familles. Accueil au top.

Very well equipped and extremely convenient location

Our family of 6 adults and two children stayed for a week and found the gite had an excellent range of cooking and eating equipment, adequately spacious bedrooms and very good bathroom provision. The main square, shop and beach are only five minutes away. One reason we like Wissant is its range of beach and walking activities and closeness to Eurotunnel and TGV station.
