There were 4 of us girls that stayed here—it was a cute place. Bathroom situation was a little odd.
Online checkout rules and in house checkout rules were very different! We followed the online ones that came with the check in instructions. The pictures are also a little misleading…we thought we would have been closer to the water and firepits, not directly behind another building that partially blocked our view of the water.

Need to work on cleanliness
From first glance things were fine. With further inspection, though, things were not in order with how they were listed. There is no dishwasher and only 1 king bed, not two. The couches were so filled with crumbs and wrappers, that they were not clean enough to use as a pull out couch. The biggest disappointment was that they charged us almost double for the boat slip. If the website says that it's 20 a day, then they should honor that. Otherwise, it's false advertisement. We did have an issue with the door locking us out (the batteries fell out of the locking mechanism) and they were very prompt in fixing the problem.

We appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to clarify a few points. After reviewing your comments, the homeowner wanted to share the following:-The property listing does not advertise a dishwasher, and the home has one king bed as described.-We were not made aware of any cleaning concerns during your stay, but we will follow up with the cleaning team to ensure everything meets our high standards.-The boat slip rate was communicated in advance, and we’re sorry for any confusion about pricing.-The door lock issue was addressed promptly once reported, and we’re glad we could get that resolved quickly for you. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts so we can continue improving for future guests.

We booked this for the sole purpose of having a lake view and being able to walk right out onto the lake. But our view was the back of an ugly property right in front of us. And the lake was a half mile away! Also, the inside looks nothing like the pictures! The outside of the property was overgrown with weeds, and had rotted wood. Our back porch sliding door didn't lock and the beds were really uncomfortable. I would not have spent my money on this property and i feel i was taken advantage of. This place makes VRBO look rather bad, allowing a place like this to advertise as lakefront property when its clearly not

Hi Angie, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed this one didn't meet your expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- The home offers a partial lake view with another cabin in sight, and the lake is approximately 200 yards from the property, as mentioned in the listing. We’re sorry if this wasn’t clear or didn't meet your expectations for proximity.- The sliding door lock functions properly and has an additional security pole for peace of mind, but we’ll double-check to ensure everything is working correctly.- We’re sorry to hear that the beds weren’t comfortable for you, as we aim to provide a restful stay for all our guests.- The exterior landscaping will be reviewed to ensure it remains well-maintained, and we’ll assess the condition of the wood to make any necessary repairs. Thanks again for your feedback, and we hope to improve the experience for future guests!

Pretty darn good
My family and I opted for a spontaneous spring break escape to somewhere new. Despite encountering a few hiccups, like our truck breaking down and the inability to bring our boat to the resort, our stay turned out to be delightful. Our accommodation was impeccably clean and offered us versatility. We made the most of the dock for fishing and took out the kayaks for some fun. Karen was a joy to talk toSince we arrived during the off-season, the tranquility surrounding the resort was exactly what we needed. However, there was one aspect that left me a bit frustrated. The property was advertised as lakefront, but in reality, it wasn't quite accurate. Our unit was situated behind two others, with only a small glimpse of the lake visible between them. I had been eagerly anticipating enjoying my morning coffee and afternoon drinks on the porch with a direct view of the lake, but that wasn't really possible. I wish the description of the property was a little bit clearer. (Lesson learned on my part.)Overall a good experience. We may consider returning.
