Property was relatively clean, small issues, light bulbs, trash. Nothing that disturbed the trip. Walking distance to major park. Furniture could use some updating. I enjoyed my time and was able to work remotely. Quiet neighborhood.

We'll certainly address any issues once we're made aware of them. As for the furniture, it's meant to be aligned with the age and style of the home, and given that it's nearly 100 years old, the furniture is more antique in nature. So folks like that!
It is a very cozy home near York College, with lovely woodwork inside. Perfect local. The back & neck massagers in the dining room a very welcome surprise. Street Parking was a ease right outside the front door. We will return when visiting our York family again.
It was close to 100 degrees in York, PA. We arrived at the house and there was a small window air conditioner big enough to cool maybe a small room. The house was too warm. The beds were according to the owner memory foam. We laid down on them and they were so uncomfortable. So between being too hot with the lack of AC and the cheap beds we left and got a hotel. The owner had all sorts of excuses and tells me about all his great reviews. All you see online is ONE. I want a refund because this was a rip off

You made the choice to sit on the bed, and leave. The large AC unit is more than capable of cooling the entire house, but we had four others in reserve and gladly would have put one in for you if given the chance, and have since installed it in the house. But no, we do not run the ACs 24/7 in order not to waste energy, and my guess is you probably didn't even give it a chance to cool off. Meanwhile, yes, the beds are only a few months old and are memory foam. Since you didn't actually sleep on them, you have no way of knowing how comfortable they were. Personally, I have enjoyed great nights' sleep on them when I have visited. But no, every mattress in every short term rental is probably not to your personal specifications. This platform is not the only one we list on, and most of our five star reviews are elsewhere, but can be easily found. And lastly, I offered you the opportunity to cancel so that we could try to rebook, which probably would have happened in this high demand season, but you failed to cancel to give us that opportunity to work with you, instead choosing to leave this ridiculous review of a house in which you likely spent 15 minutes.
What a beautiful house. From the wood floors,to the wood work around the house and the build in cabinets. The house made me feel like home. I spent so much time on the front porch swing. I just wish it was turned looking out towards the road. Having my back to the neighbors was odd. Especially when they were talking to you. Which brings me to the neighbors. What a great group of people. Made me feel welcome by talking to me whenever we were both outside. The one thing I would change is the curb appeal. A nice fence on the front and the bushes trimmed would make it more inviting. Also the ivy growing all over the house needs to be ripped out and grass planted. The back yard was over grown which caused a lot of bugs and mosquitos so you couldn't sit out there. But inside the house was beautiful and the front porch made up for the appearance of the back.
The location is within walking distance for York College functions. The positives is t location, a kitchen, hot water was hot and didn't run out. The wood floors are beautiful. Because of the high pile carpets, at least one of the bedroom doors isn't able to be closed for privacy. Missing light bulbs in areas. Bring a flashlight. There is a washer/dryer for a fee, separate from rental price. Traveler bring your own coffee, spices (no pepper), and toiletries (no soap, body wash in dispensers). Wear flip flops especially in the kitchen. Towel rack was broken, used floss stick in shower, door knob to Jack n Jill bathroom only works from one side. There is one AC window unit, located in the dinning room. Ask lots of questions before renting. If you are used to an attention to detail, type rentals this one will be a disappointment.

Well, perhaps you missed the light switches, as I can assure you there is plenty of light throughout the house. There are also two AC units. Perhaps you missed that too. Also, we would have gladly sent out maintenance guy to address any issues has you brought them to our attention. Instead, I guess you prefer to throw someone under the bus. Sad.
