This beautiful oceanfront cottage is situated on the most central northern tip of Hebrides Lane, New London, PEI just minutes from Cavendish on an isolated peninsula of land in a summer residential community called The Hebrides. (www.thehebrides.ca)

The cottage features an airy open layout with gorgeous oceanfront views from the over-sized windows in the living room. The remodeled and renovated cottage sleeps up to 7 and features 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, and an updated kitchen providing a modern coastal atmosphere. The master bedroom features side views of the sand dunes and sunrise and includes a full/double bed, a full size washer & dryer, a large closet, and an en-suite half bathroom. The second bedroom features three twin size beds (1 twin bunkbed set and 1 twin) and a closet. The large living room was designed to capture the oceanfront views of the Northumberland Strait and the amazing sunsets. It features a large pull-out queen sleeper sofa, a 40" Samsung TV with Satellite Dish, DVD and movie library, high speed internet, and plenty of room to relax and take in the views. The kitchen was recently updated with stainless steel fridge and stove and is equipped with small appliances (microwave, air fryer, coffee maker, toaster, etc...), 3 bar stools, and dining for six. The deck spans the full length of the cottage facing toward the ocean and includes bench seating, a gas grill, dining area, beach chairs, and outdoor beach/sand toys. The property includes private ocean/beach access stairs to the red sand beach, which is great for an evening camp fire.

Onsite amenities include a seasonal outdoor heated pool (weather dependent), clubhouse with pool table and ping pong, 9-hole par 3 golf course, outdoor/indoor shuffle board, horse shoes, mini golf, and red sand bike paths. The Hebrides summer community is located just minutes from Cavendish, which boasts world class golf courses, white sand dunes at Cavendish Beach National Park, amusement parks, restaurants, deep sea fishing, fresh seafood, shopping, groceries, etc...

One of the best appointed properties I’ve stayed in. The location is away from the crowds, the facilities nice, beach chairs you can borrow, a terrific washer and dryer and good fans for the heat.

Beautifully located rustic property with huge outdoor space, incredible sunsets, and private location with easy access to pools, beaches, ocean, Cavendish, and the Rustico area. An ideal place to visit after 25 years away from the island.

Our stay was fantastic!! Tanya was a wonderful host. Beautiful view, walk down to the water out the back door, cottage was spacious and very clean. It was equipped with many dishes, cookware, utensils, crockpot you name it!! Toys and books for kids, variety of DVD’s. Wifi reception excellent. Comfortable beds. Very peaceful surroundings. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Oceanfront getaway

My family and I had a wonderful vacation here! We enjoyed eating outside overlooking the ocean, beach fires , playing on the beach and family games. The cottage has everything a family with little kids needs, books, toys, colouring books, movies and a kid favourite bunk beds! We can’t wait to visit again!

wonderful 2 weeks stay

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It was bigger than in the pictures, and well equiped. The highlight is the location: the view is amazing, and the access to the beach is wonderful with the kids. The pool was under renovation during our stay, so we couldn't access it.

Amazing location, pretty central to reach every part of the island. Great beach and ocean views. The cottage was well equipped with everything you could need. Tanya was terrific answering all our questions. The extra touches we appreciated. The only negative I would say and the reason for the 4 star review is the master bed. It reminded me of sleeping in a dorm room, springs digging into ribs, loud squeak the second you moved and it being a double. We slept on the pull out couch the entire time (which waking up to the ocean was at least a bonus). We would book again for the location and the property.

Relax & Unwind

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Prince Edward Island rental. The location was perfect—quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning scenery. We especially loved the direct access to the beach and the opportunity to watch breathtaking sunsets every evening.Tanya, our host, was fantastic—very responsive and full of great suggestions for local restaurants and activities. Her recommendations really helped us make the most of our trip.The home was comfortable and well-equipped. Having a washer and dryer on-site was incredibly convenient, especially for a longer stay. This place offered the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommend!

Super Ocean property

Super quiet Ocean beach cottage, big kitchen, cozy, Ocean access, all amenities. Great communication with Owner. A bit of a long dirt drive 3 km to location with rope speed bumps. Can't comment on clubhouse and pool it was already closed for Season.

Amazing View, Great Location

Really enjoyed our week's stay at this clean, comfortable cottage. Property has an amazing view over New London bay! Excellent location on the island, close to great national park beaches, lovely farmland, excellent restaurants. Enjoyed strolling on the property beach and using the heated community pool. Sunrise and sunset were beautiful. Home is thoughtfully appointed with comfortable beds and powerful shower. Make sure to eat at the Blue Mussel café, at Richards and to buy seafood at Gallants in Stanley Bridge! This is a special property and we hope to come back again!

Amazing Vacation

From the time of booking, the owner has always been easy to get a hold of and answered any questions. This was our first trip to PEI. The property was even better in person and had more to offer then listed. Upon arrival we were welcomed with a personal gift basket, very nice touch. The property is in a great location to see all island highlights. The beach area is very nice, red sand and the stairway to the beach is a bonus. The view and sunsets are beautiful. We enjoyed playing at the cottages community golf course, mini putt and the pool which is heated. We would 100% go back to this property it was perfect for us. Thanks for the hospitality 😊

Wonderful!!!

We had an awesone stay! The view is incredible! We can see the bay, the sand dunes, the ocean. We can even hear the waves from the balcony! The hebrides community is very quiet and people are welcoming. During our stay we had a question and Tanya answered to us very rapidly. There are lots of toys and book for the kids and our daughters loved to discover all those new things! The kids’ bedroom was very cozy and ours too. The only little thing is that the springbox under the mattress was cracking a lot which disturbed our little baby during her sleep in ou room. But everything else was perfect!! I would definitely recommand and we look forward to comme back anorher time!

Beautiful Location

We love staying on the north shore and Hebrides Lane was a wonderful location for travel to and from Cavendish and anywhere else on the island. The red sand beach, right in front of the cottage, is filled with shells and colourful rocks and we had a nice firepit right on the beach one night. Most nights we had the beach to ourselves, despite it being a busy cottage community. The cottage itself is basic (plywood floors) but well stocked, especially in the kitchen, and well decorated with island decor. The heat and humidity can be an issue without air conditioning so you have to keep the blinds drawn during the day and the windows open at night. The living room furniture could use an upgrade, the rocking chair is purely decorative at this point and the couch cushions had some stains. Do yourself a favour and leave the washing machine door open after use so that it dries out otherwise it has that moldy/mildewy smell so common with front loaders. The washer and dryer are a fantastic addition to the cottage that will keep you in clean beach towels (lots of nice ones provided) and allow for less packing (and more room for souvenirs!).
