Peaceful and beautiful location off the beaten path. John and Michelle were awesome hosts! Loved this cabin on the lake with gorgeous lake views. Perfect place to stay for our 3 day visit of Plymouth.

This place was lovely. Everything was great. The owners friendly and helpful. I don’t want to say too many good things about it bc I want to be able to get there again and don’t want it to be all booked!!

The house was clean, comfortable and had everything needed. The lake was naturally beautiful. The location was perfect to enjoy all the area offers.

Amazing cottage in Plymouth~

There were 3 of us staying as we loved the views and the cottage! We didn't go at the best weather time, but it was relaxing, quiet, tranquil and clean! We will look forward to staying again.

Great cottage. It is located in a remote location in Plymouth on South Pond. The pond was gorgeous to swim in & owner provided noodles & kayaks to utilize. The only feedback I have is that noodles & kayaks were available. However, we had to pick up & drop off equipment daily after each use. John was a gracious host. My main feedback is to try & refrain from negative remarks about your neighbors. It takes away from the peace & tranquility of your beautiful location.

Beautiful getaway location

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Great South Pond cottage. Waking up to the view and spending time near the water was relaxing. We appreciated the host helping make sure we successfully made it with clear instructions - especially because we were arriving at night. Thank you for a great stay.

We loved the quiet private location that was still close to shopping, dining and site seeing. The cottage was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. The kitchen was very well stocked. We can't wait for a return visit.

Making memories in Plymouth

Everything was great! Very relaxing, cottage right on the water, private beach! My only nit pick is the water pressure was low and the water temperature in the shower fluctuated from cool to hot to cool again . Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Amazing getaway

This small cottage is wonderful. Incredible view of the pond so relaxing. Has all you need to run away and enjoy its peaceful and remote location. It is exactly what I wanted and needed. Very clean and cozy cottage. Can’t wait to come back! Watching sun over pond and the birds early am amazing and steps to the water.

Best Hidden Gem!

The perfect getaway spot! Tucked away on a pond hidden in the thick woods of Plymouth, this charming cottage was perfect for a weekend getaway! The pictures don't do their justice of how gorgeous this place is! The best is watching the sun set every evening during our stay! Gas, food, restaurants and stores are only a couple of minutes away. As well, Plymouth is only 15 minutes away! There is plenty to do in the area! But for a couples getaway, it was perfect for us to venture or stay in! Make sure you do have a good car because it is off the beaten path for sure!

Hidden gem

This property is a hidden paradise. My wife and I chose this cottage to get away from the hustle and bustle of NYC. The view is amazing and the cottage is cozy and beautiful. Communication with Michelle and John was great and they have stocked the property with every household item you may need. Even though the property is hidden, you are only 5 minutes away from restaurants and shopping centers. We’ll definitely come back. Thank you

A little piece of Heaven

We really enjoyed our time at this cottage. It was very peaceful and serene. We enjoyed our morning coffee sitting on the comfy loungers and our afternoon wine.It was the perfect location, close to the town of Plymouth with groceries, restaurants and shopping. We took advantage of the paddle board and paddled around the lake.My husband really enjoyed chatting with John, the owner. He was really nice, helpful and accommodating to our needs. This is a non-motorized lake so get ready to enjoy the peaceful kayaking and paddle boards.We would highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to book this cottage again.Thank you, John!

One of most unique and sweetest properties I've stayed at.

I loved my stay and was glad it could be extended for a few extra days with Mother Nature. Even the weather cooperated. Even though the location-down a long sandy road and tucked into the piney woods seems remote, it's right by 'civilization'. The cabin was clean, comfy and had everything I needed including a puzzle to work on. The pond was crystal clear, enough so I watched large trout swimming by. My grandson swam and was visited by the geese which was very exciting for him. Would definitely recommend if you like nature up close and personal.....Diane F

Perfect relaxing piece of heaven

From the moment we pulled in, we knew we found the perfect place. Steps away from the water, we were pretty much on our own the entire 6 days, except for the red-bellied cooters, cormorants, and other wildlife. The lapping water on the shore made for great sleep. We met the owner on the first day, who shared information about the history and fauna, as well as providing instructions for kayak use.The house had everything we needed, an updated interior, and very clean. Plymouth waterfront is 15 mins away, a great small-town feel that didn't feel overwhelmed with people in high season since it's spread out and has so much to do. We will definitely be back.Pay close attention to owners' directions (not GPS) in getting there.

A peaceful week

We truly enjoyed the quiet solitude of the cottage and Great South Pond. Beautiful spot. Watching the turtles sunbathe, and the swallows diving for fish. Fish jumping out of the water after insects. Canoeing, kayaking, ishing, and just reading on the little beach. If you want to get away from the crowds yet not be too far from the ocean and town conveniences, this is the place to go.

This is an exceptional place to stay. Beautiful peaceful location. The house is right on the lake which is crystal clear. The property is very clean; bed is very comfortable and positioned so you can hear the movement of the water subtly all night. Exceptional attention to detail in the house - games, lighting placement, washer and dryer, comfortable sofa and outdoor seating. The dining table overlooks the lake. Sunsets are beautiful. Very pleasing decor. Owner is very receptive to any issues. Located in town forest with many trails and great bird watching. Many places to eat and shop within ten minutes drive as well as a deeply historical town with a massive land mass and green spaces. Read the restrictions - this house can’t accommodate lots of people and the owner lives on the property, so no sneaking any parties or pets. People being people who sometimes behave badly, I found this understandable. We wouldn’t hesitate to return to this property to stay. If you are a writer, artist, or naturalist, this place is perfect inspiration! A very romantic place to stay.
