Lovely stay

My daughter and I stayed a few days. We’ve always loved Mount Dora and love going to the nearby springs. Our stay was wonderful. The kitchen is very large, fit with everything you could possibly need and more. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean and the backyard was lovely. Thank you for a great getaway!

Unfortunately, my husband and I were unable to stay the full two nights that we booked. The very first night, we noticed hairs on our pillows and towels. We also had a couple of bugs (one on the main bed and another on the floor of the main bedroom.) When we awoke, there was a trail of marching ants coming from the back door that infested the home. My husband and I are both extremely clean people and want to treat anyone’s property with care, as if it were our own home. Unfortunately, we did not feel clean from the moment we arrived and could not finish our stay because of this. The fenced yard was also misleading. There were two doors that were wide open and could not shut on their own. Luckily our dog is well trained but could be problematic for other dog parents. I truly wish I could give this place a good review but our experience was not a pleasant one.

The pool was very murky when we got there. And the grass was a foot tall. The house is definitely a lot smaller than what it seems to be in the pictures. All of the furniture was covered in dog hair, as well as the bedding half of the doors do not lock as well.

Already planning for next stay

Property was just as listed and spotlessly clean. Everything worked and it is well stocked with the basic necessities. We will be planning our stay here for our next trip to Taveras.

This was a perfect stay! 50 mins from Orlando airport. The house is fully equipped. We used the outdoor bar, grill and pool our whole stay. We will be booking again

First stop on a two week trip

House is as pictured, clean and very comfortable. The backyard is in need of some TLC, it has the potential to be an amazing space. The pool was nice to have in the heat needed to be cleaned but I still used it. We would definitely stay here again.

Cute house, fun area!

The property is very cute and well themed. The area is a great, lots of shops and restaurants and a downtown with nice water views to explore. Had a great time!Cookware in the house could use an upgrade, and a brita/other water filter. It’s a buggy area (not the fault of the property, especially in summer). But any issues we had were pretty minor

A perfect oasis

This property is neat. Several nooks and crannies, a wonderful private space for sitting by the pool / tikibar / grill to enjoy a coffee or other beverage, and a really nice coffee bar setup just awaiting your arrival (two k-cup coffee makers, one of which also can provide a traditional pot of coffee). The kitchen had ample space, and the beds were comfy. It was perfect for visiting family in the area. And our pup enjoyed the fenced in back yard. Will definitely return.

Safety risks with the outdoor space, pool apron, damaged decking, back door railing held together with electrical tape. The photos of this property, particularly the outdoor areas do not match what is there. The grounds were not being maintained. The house was clean. The ceiling fans and motors need to be cleaned particularly the one in the bathroom off the kitchen. Need privacy curtains where day bed is, truly not available for someone to sleep there. Shower rod in bath between bedrooms needs to be replaced. Blinds in the bedroom with twin beds are broken in places need to be replaced.

The house itself was very well equipped and clean. Check-in went smoothly.We were very inconvenienced by a service call for an HVAC tech (knocking on the door at 7:30 a.m on day 2) for what we were told by the owner was a preventative maintenance issue. Later that day we returned to the house, and found that there was no heat at all. Freezing temps outside, and the inside temps were 53 degrees!I understand things like this happen and are beyond the control of the owner. However, my message to the owner went unanswered and as of 3 days past check-out, still nothing from him.

Love this place!!

We decided to go to Mt Dora for 4 days for my birthday and also my husband and I's 16th anniversary because of its location to where we live in Brooksville to my granddaughter and her husband who live in Eustis and my son and his wife who live in Green Cove Springs. and daughter here from Brooksville. NOt to far for any of us to drive. This place was perfect in all ways for us!! We had such a great time and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to visit in the area. The back yard is so relaxing and we spent a lot of time out on that patio. As far as I am concerned, it is 5 STAR!! And Gavin was an absolute delight and willing to do anything to make us happy!

We rented this property for a special weekend celebrating my 50th birthday with my sister and 4 nieces. The main reason we chose this home was the pool. Unfortunately, the pool was completely green upon arrival, with algae and live bugs swimming in it, making it unusable for our stay.I notified the host immediately. He repeatedly assured us it would be fixed, but no meaningful action was taken. A neighbor added chemicals to the pool, but no proper cleaning occurred until approx 9AM on the morning we were leaving, when a pool professional arrived and cleaned out a completely clogged filter. Had this simple maintenance been addressed when we arrived, we likely would have been able to enjoy the pool for most of the weekend.The situation was especially frustrating because it was a preventable maintenance issue. A problem that could have been prevented with routine upkeep—or resolved early in our stay—ultimately affected our entire trip.The host also promised a partial refund, but that promise was never fulfilled. It has now been two weeks since our stay, and despite ongoing communication with the property management company, no resolution has been provided.We specifically chose this property over other options closer to downtown because the pool was so important to our trip. We were extremely disappointed the primary advertised amenity was unavailable, and even more disappointed promises to correct the issue and provide compensation are still unfulfilled.
