Overall it was an excellent trip, a special time for our family. The only disappointment was only having 3 washcloths for the 13 of us staying there. The host said she would extras, if she did we missed it. As I said it was a great cabin and trip, my family is already talking about doing it again.
Love this property this was our second time staying here! The area is filled with nothing but friendly people! What I love most is It’s big enough to fit my family of 13 as we have lots of kiddos between my brother and I.Thank you for allowing us to state in your home Traci for my moms 67th birthday
This home fit our needs perfectly for a multi-family getaway in Cloudcroft. Rooms were spacious, beds were comfortable and our kids enjoyed watching old VHS movies!
Overall it was an amazing place to stay. There were a few little caveats like the cleanliness of the dishes and the rugs, but nothing major. The location is amazing and it was perfect for our family. We spent an amazing time at this beautiful house.
Huge house with a ton of sleeping options. Great for big family or family reunion style vacation. Porches are amazing and really nice. Everything worked as needed. Area was quite and beautiful backing right up to the mountain and huge trees. Deer, Elk and wild horses in the area. Everyone was happy with the accommodations.

Beautiful stay
Perfect for what we needed! Everyone had enough space and the space was very clean. Make sure to go out to the back porch and check out the stars at night!
We loved our stay at this cabin! Everything was very clean, easy to get to, and the communication with the host was excellent. The beds and pillows were super comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. It also has plenty of amenities, including lots of cookware, board games, and a grill, which we really enjoyed. Everything was perfect! We had an amazing experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!
The property is adjacent to the Lincoln National Forest and the nearby streets are nice for morning and evening walks. Deer, elk and wild horses visited the property during our stay which added to the rural charm of the location. The place was well stocked with kitchen appliances and dishes for eat-in meals. Downtown Cloudcroft and many trails are just a few minutes away by car. The location is quiet and the back patio offers privacy with the ambiance of a forest setting. This is a great place if you want a quiet location nested in the forest.
It was wonderful! Wildlife was amazing. This home is very big and was perfect for our group of 15. I highly recommend this property . Would definitely stay here again. We saw deer, wild horses, elk and tons of hummingbirds eating from feeder !
This is a great house for a large family gathering! We had 6 family members here and it never seemed crowded! We could not get the heater to work, but the master bedroom had a nice gas fireplace that kept us warm. The other bedrooms used the space heaters provided, so they stayed warm. We got a beautiful heavy snow the day before Easter and the next day bright sunshine! Really lovely. It is very quiet and peaceful up there and the sauna’s great! Really had a fabulous trip!
We were very happy with our stay here, especially the room arrangements. Most vacation rentals stick bunk beds in an open area adjacent to the living room, or worse, in the den or living room area! This home, on the other hand, has a separate room off the kitchen with six bunk beds, with a closing door. So it is perfect for young kids to stay in that room out of the way of the grown ups. We really appreciated being able to have a separate room for the youngsters to play behind a closed door so the grown ups could watch a movie at night in peace!
The layout of the home was perfect. Kitchen open to the living room and yet a slightly separated dining room with an alcove for different activities, puzzles, games, etc.
Then a long hallway with four full bedrooms. Two hall baths, one with a bath tub. And a GIANT primary suite with en suite shower bath. A bathtub in the master bath would have been nice, but not necessary. Access multiple ways to the front and back porches was really nice. Although if the porches connected as a full veranda would have been nice as it is cumbersome to go from the front porch to the back porch. Also, as other have noted, a few more pieces of patio furniture would have been nice given the spectacular weather.
All in all, this place was absolutely perfect for large families with young kids. We also really liked the cozy decor. Not so sterile you were afraid to enjoy yourself, but if super modern is your thing, this probably isn't for you.
With a large group a rental property can feel so closed in but this one is spread out to where everyone had their own little space. The rental manager was awesome, brought us toilet paper and dish soap and mailed back a item i left behind.
My only complaint was the detailed cleaning could be better, the drains especially. Would've loved to use the grills but never found anyhing to clean them with. Also the outdoor area. There was lots of trash, old corn cobs, some beer cans outside. Looks like the previous people had some parties. If this place put a few hundred dollars into making the outdoor space more functionable, this would be a 10/10 for me. Some more outdoor furniture or a picnic table. Maybe something in the yard area, like a proper fire pit or something(not that we would've used it at the time because the burn ban) because i always enjoy properties that have thise types of amenities.
Even with my small complaints, i still suggest this place. We're already planning a trip back with this listing for next year.
On a side night, i do have a sun allergy and this place has good window coverings. Alot of rental places are really stingy about window coverings so if you like a darker sleeping space, this is a good option.
Oh and dog friendly, massive bonus points for that. My dog really got to enjoy a trip with all us girls and for that im grateful.
