Something different, and close to Sydney. Cosy, comfortable and really peaceful. Come here to disconnect and recharge. We would definitely return, particularly during the colder months to make the most the indoor fireplace(s).

Celebrating our parents 70th

We had a fantastic stay. It was perfect for our group. The kitchen was fully equipped. A great house for family or close friends to enjoy meals together and games. We loved it and hope to come back. The wombats and wallabies were wonderful to see in the wild. The only feedback we have is that there is not a lot of privacy in the 2 loft rooms or bathroom (window and door open onto the deck). Perhaps a pull across curtain could add a little more privacy?

Beautiful Isolation

Gorgeous, rustic wood cottage that is wonderfully isolated and surrounded by bush. No neighbours, no noise. Massive fireplace that sets the mood but unfortunately can put out a bit of smoke in the dead of winter. Superb brand new kitchen with everything you need. Only gripe would be the 2 loft bedrooms accessed by ladders and if you require privacy - main bedroom fine.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The property has plenty of character and a lovely atmosphere, particularly the cosy fireplace and outdoor entertaining area with its charcoal BBQ. The kitchen was well equipped. Outdoor bathtub was lovely.Unfortunately, cleanliness and wildlife were significant issues. Microbats appeared to be living in the roof above the main bedroom's bay window, causing noise, a strong urine smell and droppings on the floor, bed and pillows. We had to move to another bedroom. The house also had thick layers of dust, dust clumps and black mould in the bathroom. Cleaning was arranged the following day, which we appreciated, but the droppings reappeared a day later.There were also some practical inconveniences. The atmospheric lighting was too dim for dining after sunset. There was no wardrobe or suitable space to hang our wedding outfits. The ironing board was found under a bed, covered in dust, and we had to use a towel to cover it.The lack of insect screens was frustrating, especially with so many flies. The cleaner also warned us about snakes, so we were reluctant to open the windows, making ventilation difficult when using the fireplace.No laundry.It's a charming property with a wonderful atmosphere and outdoor space, but cleanliness, wildlife management, ventilation and a few basic practical amenities need serious attention. With these issues addressed, it could be a much more comfortable and enjoyable place to stay.
