Laguna Cottages @ Watagan Creek Rd

Immaculate, self contained two bedroom country style cottages featuring open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room. Relax and enjoy magnificent valley views framed by rugged timbered ridgelines from the spacious wrap around verandah. Share your weekend escape with abundant native wildlife as you leave the pressures of urban living behind you. You will comfortably accommodate 4 to 6 people with an extra fold up bed available if required.
Conveniently located in the Wollombi Valley, Laguna Cabins are only 8km from the historic village of Wollombi and an easy 30 minute drive from the heart of Hunter Wine Country.

Both these well appointed cabins contain the following:

* One(1) Queen sized bed.
* Two(2) king single beds
* One foldaway single bed
* One Sofa bed (in lounge room)
* Portable cot
* Electric blankets available for all beds (if required)

* TV, DVD & video player (BYO disks & tapes)
* Reverse cycle Air Conditioning
* Oven & Microwave
* Washing machine, Dryer & Laundry facilities

1. No telephone is available at Laguna Cabins with LIMITED Optus mobile phone coverage in the area.
We have Starlink Satellite Internet available at the Cottage.
The nearest public telephone is located 8 km away where there is also Telstra mobile coverage in Wollombi Village.
2. Pets are not allowed.
3. Smoking is not permitted inside the cabins.

Beautiful property

This property blew us away, such a quaint country cottage, absolutely beautiful scenery. Local shops less than 5 mins away. We all loved our stay here, the children didn’t want to leave We would highly recommend this beautiful cottage .

Lovely setting and every thing you need to hand. Great restaurant, Tabu, in Wollombi, dont miss it. Warning, cows like to lie down on the access road in the evening and decline to move when requested.

Perfect getaway from the city.

We had a beautiful stay this lovely country cottage. Spectacular view over the property with cows, Roos and birds sharing the space. The house was spacious and comfortable but just be aware that there is no service nor wifi. So switch off and enjoy the view.

Property was clean and well located. Beautiful setting. However, shower pressure was dismal, microwave does not heat and lack of internet and phone reception difficult as could not communicate with Property Manager re these issues whilst staying at property.

Would not recommend the home for children reliant on parent care. As described, children’s room accessible from verandah. Couldn’t lock/unlock room for safety overnight so children could access the bathroom. Careful when booking as there’s 2 cottages on site - NO hot tub In cottage one despite ad not specifying this. Bring food etc as nothing around til Polkolbin. Beautifully clean and immaculate cottage and a fabulous time relaxing.

The cottage did not disappoint both in terms of position and amenities. Short trip to quaint Wollumbi. Great coffee at the general store - just saying. Patchy internet, so only recommended if you need to get off the grid. Thanks, Di :-)

Great location with stunning view

We really enjoyed our stay at Laguna Cottage 1, and we will definitely return. The view across the property is just divine! We were nice and warm even in winter with the central heater and electric blankets. Super close to the Trading Post in Laguna for a coffee. Only suggestion for improvement is a more substantial bbq and a fire pit and it would be perfect. But regardless still 4.5 stars for our Family. Thank you, we look forward to returning again soon :)

Living without wifi 😀

Back to roots... peaceful retreat in the middle of paddocks, wildlife ( kangaroos, birds) and black cows.... The view was amazing including the pond. Everyone enjoyed not been connected !

Lovely place to escape

Great setting with sweeping views and reasonably clean accommodation. Disappointing comms from the Real Estate, who ignored my messages via Stayz. Although the booking was made at short notice in a internet-poor area, that could have been a better experience, but overall, tghe house is private, pleasant and functional.

Comfortable, relaxing place to stay. Lovely vista over the dam which had pelicans during our stay. Perfect for unwinding and leaving the city behind. Floor plan with external bedroom won't suit everyone.

Cute, country cabin

Lovely, clean property and cabin. Second bedroom with single beds has external access only which would be problematic with children but was fine for our group. Great facilities in the cabin, very clean and easy to access. Hard bed!
