Brought our son, another couple, and their son to celebrate their 19th birthdays in Windsor at the casino. Great time, easy walk to the casino and bar area on Ouellette.
Stay while at the Canadian lifesaving championships
We stayed while competing at the lifesaving championship and it was a convenient 25 minute walk from the Windsor Aquatic Training Centre as well as the Food Basics grocery store. The neighbourhood is old but was quiet and we didn’t feel unsafe walking in groups of 2-3. It was an adequate place to stay and decent value for the cost. This apartment was ok for a few athletes to stay where we could make some simple meals. The floor and walls need a good scrubbing but it was moderate tidy.
Our stay was great! Close to all amenities, the apartment was exactly as shown was perfect for our needs. No fuss check in & out. Quiet area, with parking & a full kitchen.
Host made it clear that the property is not perfect which was nice to know before showing up so our expectations were pretty low. When we showed up the space was bigger than expected which was nice but it wasn’t as clean as we had hoped. Warning for anyone staying here in the future, we did see a mouse running around in the middle of the night so the next day we had to buy a mouse trap and we immediately got rid of it. We did not see any other mice the rest of the time but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t more. The mouse was really the only big issue we had with our stay. I probably wouldn’t stay here again but it was a nice cheap option for a weekend trip.

Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Should be condemned.
The floor is sagging in spots causing the flooring to separate. Nothing is level. There is no hot tub. As I licensed electrician I noticed several obvious defects. The floor is sagging in the toilet area and a makeshift repair was made with a board screwed to the top of the floor. A brown substance appeared to indicate the toilet is still leaking. Overall there was a lack of cleanliness. Everything appeared grimy. The colour of the floor hid the dirt well but if you looked at it from an angle you could see the lack of cleanliness. The ceiling was cracked and so were many of the walls. The bed was comfortable.
