The Hyde Park Mansion

This landmark home is close to everything in Kansas City..The Plaza 5min, Westport 4min, Power and Light 6min, highway access 3min. Located in Midtown KC in the historic neighborhood of Hyde Park, the house was built in 1911 by the Chief of police John B. Hayes during the Pendergast era. The house received a complete restoration from 2010-2016 and has been featured in Kansas City Home and Garden and Ink Magazine. This listing is for the first and second floor, the third floor is a separate unit accessed via the back porch. Both units are listed and can be rented.

The property and neighborhood was very pet-friendly. The walk in the neighborhood is beautiful and there are pet stations along the sidewalk in the neighborhood for your convenience. There was plenty of room for all of us to be together or spread out, if needed. Our host was very nice and informative. We all had a very busy weekend, but we knew we were coming back to clean beds and bathrooms. We would all recommend and The Hyde Park Mansion! The only thing I would state is to make sure if you need access to washer and dryer to mention it prior to reserved dates.

This is a beautiful area, beautiful home and centrally located. We loved everything about it. Easy check in and check out. The only downside is there is a unit on the 3rd floor and as it is with older homes, there was lots of creaking going on later at night. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved the historic nature of the home. Nicely updated. Comfortable beds and fully equipped kitchen. Nice neighborhood, people were walking their dogs felt very safe. Hardwood floors were beautiful, just a bit squeaky, but that is expected when staying in a house built in the early 1900’s
