Historic stone house by the river, with hot tub and firepit
This unique bicentennial and historic house has been fully renovated with modern amenities while maintaining it's rustic charm It is located in the heart of Vieux-Beloeil, the old and touristic part of Beloeil. Beloeil is a charming little town by the river, facing the beautiful Mont Saint-Hilaire. The house used to be an inn in the early 19th century, until becoming a summer house for family and friends of my ancestors, who lived in the red brick house next door. It is within walking distance of everything in Vieux-Beloeil, with many restaurants, terraces, cafés, bars, breweries, boardwalk, marina just around the corner. You can't ask for a better location in the area! :-)
***One thing to note is that the ceilings are a bit low on the 2nd floor, with the original structural wooden beams at about 6 feet high (actual ceiling are about 6'10"). But it's all part of the charm! On the ground floor they are standard at 8'. ***
Also note that the house is not on the water directly, the street separates the house and our riverside.
Heated floors all over on ground floor Sectional couch and flat screen TV 2 reading areas/office space 1 queen bed room 1 double bed room 1 loft area with queen bed, couch and smart tv (whole 3rd floor) Cable and smart tv to log in your streaming services. We live staying at this house - this was our third year in a row staying here for a reading retreat weekend. The house is very unique, with it's mix of old and new (old house that is nicely updated inside.) Lots of character, and we love that it is walking distance to plenty of restaurants. Beautiful view as well!
My family and I have a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. Sunrises and sunsets were just amazing. The house is super clean and had everything we needed for our week's stay.
The home and Belœil was perfect for us. Home was spacious, comfortable and clean. Very well stocked. Fabulous location near outdoor activities, like Mont St Hilaire and the river. And lovely restaurants. Our teenage son loved his private space on the 3rd floor. Would definitely book again!
Loved our stay here. Just minutes away (by foot) from numerous restaurants. We ate well!
The house is vey well equipped - don’t hesitate to stay (stairs going to bedrooms a bit steep, but not a problem).
Such a beautiful home in such a beautiful town! It was amazing to be by the river and all the cute shops near by. Close enough to Montréal to visit, but far enough away to escape the big city. We hope to be back one day!
The property was charming and unique. A historic house with updated kitchen and bathrooms including a huge shower and tub. There were plenty of rooms and beds for a large group. Big livingroom attached to kitchen was perfect for family activities. Hot tub in secluded courtyard was a bonus. We enjoyed strolling along the river walkway enjoying the views, church and cafes. We ventured the 40 minutes into Montreal each day to explore the sights. I would highly recommend this place. Host had great communication as well.
Lovely stone home with updated kitchen and bathrooms while retaining historic charm.Walking distance to delightfulrestaurants. Right on the river with beautiful views and walking trail. Easy 30 minute drive into Montreal. Highly recommend this property..
Loved the historical house and location on the river. So walkable to nearby restaurants, cafes, shops, etc. Hiking across the river was great and convenient too.
Merci Beaucoup!
We were so happy with our stay! The home had all the amenities we needed to enjoy a vacation with our small child. It is within short walking distance of many great restaurants with terraces and we enjoyed spending time watching boats on the river from the backyard. Excellent location for visiting family-friendly orchards.
Fabulous cozy house in adorable village on a river
We loved staying at the house with two teenagers and our well behaved puppy. Cozy beds, rooms and spotlessly clean. Many great restaurants to choose from within a few blocks and teens enjoyed the hot tub. HIGHLY recommend!
This historic cottage was a unique stay for us. It sits across from the river in a lovely small town in walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The neighborhood was lovely. Many fun outings nearby. The house was interesting since it was so old and it was fun to have tho opportunity to stay in such an historic place.
