Relax and enjoy your vacation in this beautifully decorated 2Br/2Ba unit on the 9th floor at Pelican Beach Resort. Fabulous Coastal View! The living area and master bedroom open onto the balcony overlooking the beautiful emerald water and that gorgeous white sandy beach. Pelican Beach Resort offers deeded private beach, beach service, kayak rentals, and indoor/outdoor pool, children's pool, hot tub, tennis courts, seasonal Gulf front beach bar, poolside deli cafe, a sundries shop, game room, covered parking, dry sauna, steam bath, spa and fitness center, picnic area with fire pits and grills, 24 hour front desk and security, on-site manager, banquet and conference facilities, plus the best part - the beach is right in front of you!

Our kitchen is updated with stainless appliances and granite counter tops. The master suite offers a king size bed while the guest bedroom offers 2 twin beds. Living room has a fold-out queen sofa bed for extra sleeping space along with a 55" LED TV and blu-ray player.

Destin Pelican Resort

Lots of amenities...pools, hot tub, gym, etc. The cafe was open every other day. The beach is beautiful.

Amazing Experience!!

The condo is everything I hoped for...from the breathtaking views of the Gulf of America, to the convenient location close to shopping and restaurants, Tommy's condo checked all the boxes! The property amenities were outstanding. My only suggestion is softer and shorter bedroom pillows!! I felt like I was sleeping on a boulder. Otherwise, I plan on rebooking next winter!Destin is my second home.

Well furnished unit with beautiful view

The condo was nicely decorated, very clean and well maintained. The owner, Tommy, was very nice and answered any questions we had. The property was also clean, had plenty of parking and nice staff. We spent a lot of time at the pool, and enjoyed drinks at the cabana. The mini market by the conference center had good and fresh coffee. We didn't visit the beach unfortunately because of a tropical depression in the gulf made the surf too rough. We would stay here again.

Great condo!

We have been using VRBO for several years for our family vacation. And I have to say that the owner, Tommy Wood, was absolutely excellent to work with. He was quick to get back to me with any questions I had and he followed up before we left. He also went out of his way to let me know that Destin's weather and beaches were fine after Tropical Storm Cindy passed through. My only suggestion would be is to have a folder with information for clients who have never visited the Destin area. Folder that contains place to eat, grocery stores, malls, etc. Thank you Tommy for a wonderful trip. I was definitely hard to leave such a beautiful area!

Great place for families

Property is ideal for families with young kids. Check In was easy, Tommy’s condo was spotless clean and was much nicer than we expected. There was more than enough kitchen, bathroom and general supplies so we didn’t have to buy a ton at the store. Kitchen is well stocked to do just about any cooking you need. Food and drinks were very reasonably priced by the pool. Overall, we’d definitely plan to stay here again in this unit. Tommy was fast to respond with questions we had about the TV. Compared to other places we’ve stayed that we’re managed by an agency, being able yo contact the actual owner was something we’d never been able to do before. If you’re going to pelican beach resort, I’d highly recommend this unit for a couple with 2 kids.

"Destin , Not DESTINY"

The property was as advertised. We truly enjoyed our stay at this location, but the town itself was a bit lacking particularly in the area of eateries. The extreme pricing of food and service, or lack of in some cases, indicates to me that there are better locations for us to spend our money. Nearly $40 for 2 people for a simple breakfast seems a bit over priced, particularly when the server couldn't get the order correct and was down right surly, as well. No thank you! Also, the traffic in Destin is nearly as bad for travel as some major metro-politian areas. I'd hate to be there in the peak season and travel crosstown. Perhaps a word with you local Chaimber of Commerce on these 2 issues is in order.

Beautiful View/location/clean

The pictures do not do Tommy’s condo justice. Sometimes you never know if it will live up to your expectations. Our condo was extremely clean and was well stocked with everything we needed to cook and even had starter toiletries. The beach was absolutely beautiful. Our view was the best we have had so far from any listing. Sometimes they tell you great view and you get a slice from a little corner of your balcony. Not this condo! We loved sitting on it. Great morning sun. Beds were very comfortable and had nice bedding on them. It was close to one of the pools and the tiki hut. Tommy was very fast to respond with any questions. The condo has a nice location to shopping and your choice of target or walmart close for groceries. Would definitely recommend this unit. You can tell it is well taken care of and has great owners aswell. If we visit Destin again, this will be the place.

This is wonderful condo in a great location. Owner had beach chairs boogie boards unbrellla, and sand toys and a couple of noodles that we appreciated were available. We did rent an umbrella everyday from the beach service. The kitchen was well equipped and had a Mr coffee and a Keueig. The resort is kept really clean. It is one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever stayed at and we would definitely come back

Thanksgiving Getaway

This 2 bedroom 2 bath condo was perfect for our gathering. The beach was close, pools and hot tub were great, AND with it being off season, the resort wasn't jammed! Tommy is a great host, communication was good and any questions i had were answered promptly. Highly recommended!

Beautiful location and view

Our trip was fabulous! Tommy the owner is awesome at responding to me right away and helped with all questions! The location and view is amazing!!! Priceless!! My only complaints were the condo wasn’t that clean. I dropped something on the floor and it went under the master bed and there was so much dust bunnies under it & the ceiling fan had dust all over it. Also you can’t cook on their pots and pans as they are very old and eggs stuck to the pans so that was disappointing for trying to make breakfast for my family. They really need to invest in some new cookware asap for future guests. If you stay for a week you will have to wash towels for your family so bring laundry soap. The restaurant downstairs is open for breakfast & lunch and was pretty good. They also have a server if you rent the beach chairs & umbrella thru La Dolce Vita but please note you have to book that months in advance. Condo is centrally located for shopping, excursions and many restaurants. It’s a 45 min drive to 30A beach & Rosemary Beach . Would definitely visit Destin again it’s beautiful!!

Condo Great-Beach Access Terrible!

The condo itself was excellent! Wonderful view of the beach and the gulf of Mexico. The included washer and dryer came in handy as did the many appliances and utensils on the kitchen counter and in the cabinets. There's also a Keurig machine, so don't forget to bring the K-cups for coffee. As far as the beach situation at Pelican Beach Resort: Forget about actually being able to get a spot with a view of the water unless you are lucky enough to reserve a fairly expensive set of 2 beach chairs and an umbrella. If you don't make your reservations with La Dolce Vita Beach Rentals at least 2 weeks in advance of your stay you'll be placed in the 2nd or 3rd row staring at the back other chairs and umbrellas, and forget about setting up your own chairs and umbrellas with a view of the water.....it isn't allowed, and the beach chair vendor guys will relentlessly harass you to move your stuff to the back of the beach. We gave up and drove about 2 miles down Hwy 98 to Henderson State Park where for $6 you are able to set up your own chairs and umbrella with an uncrowded view of the beach and gulf. If I had been more vigilant in my research when selecting a resort to visit, I probably would have found someplace in a less busy area with much better and definitely much cheaper actual beach access!

Our families bought this Pelican Beach condo in August of 2016 and immediately started renting the property through VRBO/HomeAway. We live in Northeast Mississippi and have frequently vacationed in Destin over the past 15 years.

Along with our Pelican Beach condo, we own a rental condo in Miramar Beach at the Tops'l Resort. Pelican Beach unit 916 was featured on HGTV's Beachfront Bargain Hunters shortly after we purchased the condo.
