Upon arrival, there was a noticeable musty, closed-up smell throughout the house, which contributed to an overall impression that the property had not been thoroughly cleaned or aired prior to our arrival.Black mould was found in the upstairs shower, as well as mould on some of the downstairs blinds. In addition, the oven was dirty and there was rubbish underneath the couches. These issues were disappointing and raised concerns about the overall standard of cleanliness and maintenance of the property.The host was responsive and kindly offered to come and clean the property during our stay. We declined the offer as we were there to relax and did not want cleaning staff or others coming through the property during our stay.Aside from the cleanliness and mould concerns, the location was ideal and very convenient for our trip. Parking is quite limited and the available spaces are tight, so we would recommend keeping the number of vehicles to a minimum.
