This was our first time to Turks and Caicos and this house met everything we were looking for! We loved having our own pool and used it daily. The ocean views were amazing from both sides of the house. We enjoyed having kayaks to go and explore right from the property. We reached out to the host with several questions and they responded quickly. We all were quite happy with our decision to stay here!!

It was a great stay. The accommodations were excellent. The property is set up with everything you need. It is very private. We had an issue with one of the kayak paddles and the host came through with a replacement in short order. Thank you!

Beautiful views and spacious home!

Traveling with two families, we had a great stay at Tropical Retreat! Everything from booking to checkin and checkout was a smooth process!The house is located on the less traveled side of the island, which I prefer! Since we had a rental car, I felt like we got the best of both worlds! We could travel to Grace Bay or Smith’s reef in about 15 minutes, but had the beauty of the sound the best beaches just minutes away. The house was very clean and had all the amenities we would need. Although parts of the house are in need of small repairs, that wasn’t an issue at all for us. The kitchen and dining area are huge, and there are two lounging spaces on the first floor. We didn’t really watch any of the tvs, but they were large and smart TVs. Be aware, the only stairs in the space are a set of narrow spiral stairs up to all three bedrooms. I found this to be a fun quirk of the house, but it may not be for everyone. One of the bedrooms was very spacious, and we were able to set up an air mattress with plenty of remaining space. This bedroom also included a very large walk in closet and bathroom. Water was warm (not hot), but that is what I expected traveling to the island. The other two bedrooms were decent sized, and all had King sized beds (I believe!).The pool seemed fine, although, we didn’t spend anytime there. I really enjoyed the deck that overlooked the water and the path that led down to the water. Two mornings, we saw a flock of flamingos fly overhead!

The house is very nice and well maintained. It does have beautiful view to the water but no dock and it’s a steep walk down a cement/rock path to the water. It seemed to be about a 30 minute drive from anything we wanted to do. Las Brisas restaurant is about 5-10 minutes away and it’s a wonderful restaurant with great food and even better view. The only issue we ran into is we could not get the oven to work and reached out to the host with no response. Luckily there was a toaster oven we used for cooking food. The fire alarm battery went low, started beeping, so we reached out again and still no response from the host. We gave proof that we’d placed multiple calls, text and a VM, and gave our number for them to reach out to us, still never heard back. Only correspondence is from whoever ran the VRBO page and was instructed to unplug the fire alarm.
