Was a very nice modern suite. The bed in the one bedroom was tucked in a nook; had to crawl into the bed from the end of it, and no night stands. A bit of noise from upstairs could be heard. First VRBO that we have stayed at that didn't have complimentary coffee. Otherwise great place to stay.

Enjoyed our spacious 2 bedroom suite. Very close to Joyce food market and only a 20 minute walk to downtown… Will definitely stay again.

We were in Abbotsford for a wedding and found the perfect location to stay. The home and neighbourhood were quiet, but minutes away from shopping etc. The suite had everything we needed for a great stay!

Accurate Description

Everything was good. Would recommend a second mirror in 2nd bedroom and sheets with duvet would be nice on the beds - not used to just a duvet. Close to ammenities and major road ways.

Visit for my cousin’s wedding

Great location close to my cousin’s home and wedding. My dad and I stayed and it was nice having our own rooms. I needed a desk to do homework and it was great to have high speed internet. The kitchen was well equipped and the coffee/tea station was nice. The walls are a bit thin and you can hear people walking and talking upstairs but it wasn’t a bother to us at all.

The reason I am giving it a 1/5 is only due to an issue the owner will not resolve. I left my good 250 work shoes which are only ever walked indoors as I work in a clean sanitized hospital. The owners finally contacted me a couple hours after I messaged them this morning when I noticed they were gone. My kids picked them up and were told that my shoes had been in Mission. They immediately FaceTimed me to show wet grass on the shoes as well as a hole in the side of the sole. They reported they smelled like food and stinky feet. They took them to the owners who live above the condo and they are defending their housekeeper saying she threw the shoes in the garbage because they were smelly, damaged and had grass on them. Impossible! I know these shoes were in perfect condition and were not that old and I have never walked in grass with them. Everything else went as expected. Condo is a little worn but was clean and worked out fine for our needs. We are campers so not too fussy. If you expect palatial you won’t it here because it’s standard. Just don’t leave your personal belongings behind as they will be ‘thrown in the garbage’. I’m just really thankful I didn’t leave my diamond ring or laptop behind. We won’t return to this property unfortunately. My daughter lives in Abbottsford and we visit often so we will find another place when we come to visit.

We are disappointed by this review and strongly disagree with the claims made. The shoes were left behind after checkout and were found by the housekeeper in poor condition. Based on their condition, they were treated as discarded items and placed with the garbage. At no point did we keep, use, damage, or intentionally mishandle the shoes. We also do not agree with the attempt to turn this into a compensation claim or to make money by a false claim. The guest left the item behind, and we cannot accept responsibility for paying money based on a disputed claim about shoes that were abandoned after checkout. The comparison to a diamond ring or laptop is unfair and misleading. Valuable items are always handled seriously, and there is no basis to suggest otherwise. We take pride in being honest hosts and maintaining a clean property. We regret that the guest is upset, but we stand by the facts and do not accept this review as a fair reflection of the stay.

Good Stay… Once You Get Inside

We had a very nice two day, two night stay as part of a Canadian vacation. We visited friends in Abbotsford and this is a convenient location to most things in and around town. Much of the unit’s furniture is newer, and the kitchen seemed fairly well stocked. Cleanliness inside looked as though there had not been any real recent deep cleaning, unfortunately. We found empty ant traps that were depleted. Also, the bathroom rugs could use a wash or replacement. Now for the appearance outside. While this is not a VRBO category, we were quite surprised that the property’s exterior is in sad disrepair. From a rickety fence gate to abundant weeds and dirty walkways, the first impression one gets is that nobody inhabits the main part but of the house.

Quiet, convenient, with easy TransCanada access

We chose the Mountain View VRBO because it had easy access to BC-11 for visiting Mission and to the TransCanada (Hwy 1) for visiting New Westminster, Langley, Coquitlam and Chilliwack. There was no highway noise. There is no mountain view from the windows of the apartment, but great views can be had by walking around the block. A portion of the Discovery Trail is within 2Km and allowed us to walk to the Willband Creek Park for exercise and to walk to the small market at the corner. The spacious ground floor apartment had everything we needed for our stay -- even a Keurig coffee machine and pods. The bed was firm and comfortable. We always take off our shoes when entering a home, but the area carpets had stains from other guests. We would rather have had no carpets. Other than the carpets, the apartment, furniture, appliances, bedding and towels were very clean.
