Our group really enjoyed our stay at this property. Some highlights: the cottage is beautifully renovated on the inside, with a large and beautiful kitchen. We really enjoyed the hot tub and some of us used the paddle boards one day (one was missing a fin, however).Ron was great to chat with and to arrange fishing boat rentals which we definitely took advantage of during our stay. The cottage is also only a 10 min drive from the main town so we were able to grab last minute items and explore the town quite easily. It’s worth noting that the cottages are quite close to each other so there is little privacy, but we got along great with our neighbours so we didn’t mind! Other things: the bathroom on the main floor only contains a tub with a removable shower head, so it wasn’t possible to shower standing up. Our group of five ended up using the only other full bathroom upstairs which happened to have a double shower (good for couples!).We also noticed some cobwebs indoors, and there are a lot of bugs and webs on the deck and outside furniture. Those could use more maintenance.

So glad you enjoyed your stay! Regarding the bugs on the deck; our property manager cleans the decks, including the furniture and lights, just before each guest's arrival however, he does not clean during your stay as that would be intrusive. Being waterfront on the river does mean that bugs attracted to the lights collect overnight.
Our property manager maintains the docks during your stay, cleaning spiders off the ladders etc...
Great cottage
Property manager Ron was awesome.
Nice bonus was not having to purchase or bring firewood. Ron has a fire started nightly for the guests and keeps the grounds in great shape.
Wifi not so good

The location on the river is beautiful; the interior of the house is a lovely design. We were mostly comfortable here, and the onsite staff were helpful & attentive. Sitting on the dock for the sunrise was restorative. But we were disappointed, given the disparity b/w the higher price point (incl the cleaning fee) and the list of things that were missing, broken, excessively complicated, or just not fully clean. (Ran a gamut that included a floating desk hanging off the wall at a disconcerting angle to broken dishwasher racks to a patio umbrella that listed precariously.) There is no binder or welcome sheet in the cabin to acclimate the visitor to all the tech or to the area in any way, as one so often finds at a vacation rental. Finally, nothing about polyester sheets and pillows says 'luxe lodge' to me. Go, enjoy. Just know what it is and what it isn't, and maybe bring your own bedding. 7/10
