Handrails by the outside steps to the gazebo would have been useful. Nonslip rugs outside of shower would be great, the tile floor got slippery pretty quickly. The gazebo was great, the fans and Bluetooth speaker connection was perfect and used a lot!

Thank you for your feedback. We’re very glad to hear that you enjoyed the property, particularly the gazebo, fans, and Bluetooth speaker system. We do want to provide some additional context for future guests. More than 80 photos of the property are posted online, providing a very detailed representation of the home, outdoor areas, gazebo, steps, and overall layout prior to booking. The two small steps leading to the gazebo do not require handrails under the applicable requirements. While we certainly appreciate suggestions for improvements, we were disappointed that the lack of a handrail on these two small steps appeared to contribute to a lower overall review, particularly when the property was accurately represented in the listing and the guest otherwise indicated that they greatly enjoyed their stay and the amenities. We value all guest feedback and will continue looking for reasonable ways to make the property as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

This cozy house was perfect for our long weekend getaway. The back deck and dock provided a pleasant variety of ways to enjoy the beautiful view of the river, even when we had a bit of rain during our stay. The house was well stocked for all our needs. The rooms were comfortable, with enough seating in the living room for the 4 adults and 1 child we had in our group. The kitchen, while small, had everything we needed to make our meals, and the propane grill outside added to our cooking options. The proximity to Prospect is reasonable - 10-15 minutes to Kroger and some local restaurants. We also spent a day in Louisville, which is less than 30 minutes away. My only complaint, and it is minor, is that if you're traveling with small children, the shower isn't ideal. It would be nice to have a detachable spray shower head to be a bit more accommodating. We improvised and made it work, but just be aware of that need if you plan to travel with kids. We'll definitely keep this place in mind for our next trip to the area, and would recommend to our friends.

Absolutely no disappointments

The property was amazing. Being on the river we were able to relax and enjoy the water. Daniel was more then accomodating. I definitely recommend and will be visiiting again.

Great place for a small family

My husband and two teenagers and our blue heeler had a great 4 night stay! The place had everything we needed and was close to everything we wanted to do. I loved spending the mornings working from the patio that was absolutely Heaven! No issues no complaints great stay !

Perfect retreat following hectic days!

Came to town for my youngest daughter's wedding festivities. Trying all day to make sure everything is as perfect as possible for the young bride to be was a tall order to fill - having the peace and tranquility of this space to retreat to each evening was exactly what I needed to recharge and be ready for the next day.Great host. Will visit again.

A comfortable spot for hanging out. Beds and linens were great. It’s an older cinderblock house with some updates. It was perfect for our group.

Serene River House

The space is thoughtfully outfitted with all essentials and has comfortable furnishings. My dog and I enjoyed exploring the neighborhood and embracing the quiet season. Our host, Daniel, was attentive and responsive to all requests. We will definitely be back!

Perfect Little Cottage

Daniel's cottage was perfect for our first stay on the Ohio River. We loved the spotlessly clean retro cinder block. It was beautifully renovated and had every comfort amenity. Street side is quiet, beautiful and a wonderful place to walk our dogs, and the river view from the cottage was, of course, terrific!

My husband birthday!

We had a lot of fun! We all have very busy lives that never stop so we like to make it stop and take the time to enjoy it for a few day with some peace and quiet and some relaxation! It was very quiet and enjoyable!

Fall stay

The location is amazing and Dan was so easy to work with. The house was clean and had what we needed. Some of the dishes were dirty and the grill could use a cleaning of the grates. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Great little place!

Cute little house with a fantastic outdoor space to enjoy the view. We utilized the kayaks and some of the games left for guest use. Kitchen is tiny, but has everything you need for a short stay. Owner was very flexible to deal with and responded quickly when messaged. Thank you!

Mini Getaway

Overall it was an awesome stay. Definitely a quaint little place with a perfect view and great amenities. We definitely are planning on coming back to Kentucky again soon and most definitely would stay here again for a second time. Thanks for everything! :)
