Rest for your soul Peace Quiet Nature Secluded Cozy

Leave your responsibilities behind. Come to our country home surrounded by nature. This is a self contained apartment with a private entrance built as an extension on our home.
You have access to the entire large property. Enjoy quiet walks and bike rides on the country roads, read a book next to the pond and roast marshmallows by the fire.

The space
Surrounded by magnificent rolling hills and only 45 minutes to Ottawa and 30 minutes to Calabogie it's the perfect jumping off point to explore the area whether you enjoy museums and culture, car racing and skiing or fishing and water sports. Conveniently situated within a 20 minute drive to Perth, Almonte and Carleton Place. The apartment comfortably sleeps 3. Don’t be surprised to see deer roaming the yard, an owl perched in the tree or geese and ducks in the pond.

Parking is available. Please park in the spot marked “parking” at the end of the house closest to the road.

Other things to note
Use of the fire pit is at your own risk. Please do not use my wood. You are welcome to bring your own wood or wood available upon request.

Please respect the neighbourhood and the neighbour's property. Do not trespass.

Peaceful retreat

The property was perfect and exceeded expectations. Our stay was comfortable and everything was kept clean and organized. The place itself was away from everything and everyone, making it a great getaway from the city.

I had a wonderful stay at Maria’s place (Rest for your Soul Retreat) during my visit to the Ottawa area. The cottage was spotless and exactly as described, truly 100% accurate. Maria was fantastic throughout the entire booking and communication process, always quick to respond and incredibly kind.I arrived late at night, and the first thing I noticed was the absolute silence. It was so peaceful that it felt like the world had stopped. There was no noise at all, just stillness and a sky full of magnificent stars. The property is in a secluded, quiet area that makes you instantly relax and find rest that your body, mind and soul longs for.Inside, the cottage was perfect for my stay. Very clean, well maintained, and equipped with everything someone would need for a comfortable vacation. One thing I especially appreciated was the water which I noticed while showering. It was unbelievably soft and smooth on the skin, almost like it had moisturizer in it.The yard is beautiful and serene, with a lovely pond, a fireplace, and plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors. It’s a peaceful retreat that exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, clean, and relaxing getaway. I wish I could have stayed longer! I hope you find peace and rest when you have the chance to enjoy this beautiful place.......
