The rooms were clean and spacious. The location was central to Old San Juan life. The living and patio areas were large and well appointed. Our only complaint is there are A LOT of stairs to haul luggage up to the room and no elevator.

Overall good stay. Just be aware you have to walk up three flights to get to the apt. Comfortable beds. Beautiful large outdoor patio. Great location in Old San Juan. Able to walk everywhere. We enjoyed our stay!

We spent two nights in this amazing apartment. We have been coming to Puerto Rico and staying in Old San Juan for many years. Staying here made us feel like we were such a part of this vibrant area. Our favorite was just sitting on the balcony and watching and hearing the activity below. The inside was also well decorated and spacious enough for our crew of five. The property manager was great both providing me with information and responding to any inquires I had in a prompt and friendly manner.

There were many cafes, resteraunts and shops in walking distance. Even though there is a garage near, I would suggest that you use an Uber or Lift. The space avaulable at the property made the stair climb well worth it. The air conditioning worked almost too well. lol At times we had to adjust it. There were a few bumps in the road but I beleive they were totally out of the VRBOs control. Even thouh it was out of their control, they generously compensated us for our inconvenience. The unit had everything that we needed to have a wonderful vacation. I would definitly lease from this company and thi property again.

Great Location and spacious accomodations

This was the first year we have chosen to stay in Old San Juan and it was great. The Castillo View apartments are situated perfectly. An easy walk to resataurants, bars, the Castillo etc. so much to explore! The penthouse at Castillo view has comfortable rooms, an expansive wrap-around veranda and well appointed kitchen. We loved our stay and were sad to leave!

Wonderful Place in the heart of Old San Juan

This place was great! We enjoyed our stay. It was mostly clean, however, there were a few missed details in the cleaning, there were some popped balloons from what we assume was the previous guests, and there was broken glass on the patio. but these were minimal and easy to fix on our own. Everything else about the property was amazing. such a great location, right in the middle of everything. We would recommend this place and will definitely consider it next time.

Absolutely a great place to stay! We had six ladies for a bachelorette getaway. We felt like we could walk to anything we wanted or needed. Even though we didn’t use it, the kitchen was well-equipped. The beds were so comfortable and the AC worked very well. The outside patio area was the best part. We spent every night out there just hanging out and enjoying the views of the cool streets. It was no trouble at all to get Ubers to the excursions we did outside of Old San Juan. Here are my only critiques: 1. There were not enough paper towels 2. Had I know hairdryers were included, I wouldn’t have brought one 3. I’m pretty sure the floors hadn’t been mopped in a while 4. The coffee maker was really small for this place being able to house so many people. All in all, I highly recommend staying here if you have a small group wanting to enjoy the sights and sounds and adventures of Okd San Juan!

The elders

The penthouse is located right in the heart of old San Juan perfect location to walk to many sites to see restaurants to partake in and very very enjoyable. Comfort of the penthouse was very good. The only issue we had where they did not supply us the proper amount of linens, but we survived anyway.

There were severalMaintenance issues; dishwasher would never cut on. Outlet at Master sink never reset, leak at foyer creating a slippery surface, Front door needs adjusting - scraped floor if opened too far. Great location; we did not know the unit was located on the 3rd floor and was a challenge with large/heavy suitcases. It could have been we did not notice this in the description. Never figured out the tv and was not included in instructions. We added YouTube tv, but could not ever get live tv.

Great place

We stayed at this property for about a week in late fall. It is a great location right in the middle of Old San Juan. Clean. Spacious. Met and even exceeded expectations. The terrace is very large, wrapping around the full length of the unit on two sides and quite wide. The owner was very responsive to inquiries and requests. It was very quiet at night in the master bedroom and the middle interior bedroom. Both of these bedrooms have their own bathroom with shower. The third bedroom abuts the terrace but even that was pretty quiet at night. The third bathroom with shower opens to the large common area so those in the third bedroom used that one. The kitchen was modern. We mostly ate out but it had everything we needed for daily breakfast, a spaghetti dinner, popcorn, snacks, and drinks. The unit is a third floor walkup. There is a grocery store and drug store a block away. Easy walking distance to all sites and restaurants. If you are staying in Old San Juan, you do not need nor want a car. We rented one for some day trips and parked about 5 blocks away at the Estacionamiento La Puntilla (3 per day outside and sometimes can be full but really no issues); there are garages on the same block that are more expensive and seemed to be very tight, and seem more likely to be full. In summary, we would definitely stay here again.
