Beautiful place / so glad it wasn’t snowing though, very steep areas to get there. Overall very nice place. The pictures made it seem a little more roomy in kitchen and dining area. Some appliances and dishes were not cleanest. Hottub worked well and was nice to sit in and enjoy view and sound of waterfall. Couldn’t find the top of waterfall but had fun exploring.
This was a beautiful property and location couldn't have been more perfect. It was clean, sufficiently stocked and lovely porches to enjoy the weather. Definitely will be staying again.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are thrilled that you had a great time and that the property met your needs. Its our fondest hope that you will revisit, sooner rather than later.
Good location and very convenient. Awesome location beside waterfall. Very nice cabin with great amenities. Only issue we had was cleanliness, animal hair on comforter, old food on utensils and cups and crus/mold on kureig. Would definitely stay here again the location and waterfall cant be beat. Hot rub next to waterfall is also great.

Thanks so much for letting us know you enjoyed the property. Your comments regarding the cleaning has been shared with our Executive Housekeeper for immediate attention. It was a pleasure sharing our home with you and we hope that you will visit us again in the very near future.
The entire stay was perfect. The home is as pictured and described. It’s perfect for family or friends staying together. It’s dog friendly (a huge plus for us) yet you wouldn’t know dogs have stayed there. It’s very clean, even our dogs didn’t sense other animals presence.
The kitchen is stocked well, we cooked every night with no complaints on missing utensils etc., a few basic spice essentials are also there.
Fireplaces are wonderful, all living quarters were perfect! The outdoor space is perfection…who doesn’t love a personal waterfall!
Heed the warnings on what to drive!! Especially in winter! The road to get to the cabin is no joke!!
You will love your stay here!

Thank you so much for your feedback! We hope to have you back again soon.
We stayed at Boulder Falls cabin for five days for a quick ski trip. It was a cozy and well maintained cabin. The owners keep it in great shape! It was also very clean, and we are picky about cleanliness! If you come in winter, 4x4 is a must. I would also have tore chains in case of ice. Road to the cabin can be a bit steep in spots. Also, we don’t realize this when we first arrived, but the main road is a loop. We first made a 3 point turn (more like 8 point turn lol) in a very narrow driveway/road. Fortunately we spoke to a resident neighbor and he told us the road loops around, so no need to turn the truck around.
Sugar Mountain is a quick 10min drive. The cabin is in a great location. It’s close to Sugar Mountain, Boone, and Blowing Rock. There are also several wineries and antique stores close by. We will definitely stay again!

The house is situated in a great area between Banner Elk and Boone, so easy access to everything you need and area attractions. Lovely property with the waterfall next door. We hope to return soon!
The home was great! We had everything we needed. It was clean and nicely decorated. The waterfall was amazing. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and just listening to the water. We also enjoyed the hot tub! We will be back.

Greasy kitchen
The kitchen cabinets and countertops were beyond what the cleaning people could clean. Greasy and sticky. The beds and bathrooms were clean. Home needs the carpets replaced.

BOULDER FALLS RETREAT
This cabin offered plenty of space for our party of 5. The cabin was clean on arrival. The beds were comfortable. The bedrooms with king beds have huge closet space with ample room for hanging clothes. The addition of some shelves for folded clothes would be great as there are absolutely no drawers or shelving (other than a standard above the rod shelf that housed extra blankets). Thankful we had packed using packing cubes (thanks to
reading prior reviews) so we did not live out of a suitcase for the week; used the bench in the room to place cubes on. The kitchen is small and more galley style than preferred but it was decently stocked with kitchen gadgets/decent cookware. At the time of our stay there was a keurig and 12 cup coffee maker, blender, crock pot, toaster, nice variety of knives and pans/pots in good shape. There was plenty of silverware, wine glasses, corkscrew, and plates/bowls. The stove is a good size and in great working order. The grill on the deck was gas with 2 tanks, very clean but the ignitor switch did not work well so we did not bother with it.
The sounds of the waterfall next to the house were relaxing and especially enjoyed on the lower level of the house. If you are looking for a view; this cabin is not for you. Your view is wooded and of the neighbors below you. We did not use the hot tub but would advise bringing beach towels or extra towels as there is only one towel/washcloth per "sleeping spot" as stated by the agency; there were definitely no extras and no beach/hot tub use towels.
The washer and dryer were in great working order at the time of our visit. There was an ironing board and iron in the laundry room and also hooks to hang clothes and a small drying rack.
The drive up was steep but manageable with our non 4 wheel drive vehicles. The neighborhood was good for our morning run; we ran the loop of the neighborhood and then across the highway to the adjacent neighborhood to easily get our workouts in--definitely some serious hill work. The proximity to great hiking/shopping/dining was nice. The cabin is situated in an area that has many things to do.
Kudos to Lee with Carolina Cabin Rentals for excellent customer service. He made sure communication was there and things were carried through to make our vacation what it should be-- relaxing.

Fun for the Family
Comfortable cabin. Carolina Cabin Rentals were excellent! Loved the hammock on the deck. Creek sounds were lovely but road noise not so much. Our family of 5 were very happy cooking and enjoying time together in this cabin. Great location for hiking!

Authentic Mountain Accommodation in the Perfect Location
Loved staying at Boulder Falls Retreat! It had a true cabin feel, with the quality of a well built home. The water falling running right outside in full view from windows/porches was such an incredible experience! The location of the home - so close to Boone, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, etc. - gave us a plethera of activities to do without having to take a long car ride anywhere! We are so thrilled that we chose to vacation/stay here. It was wonderful!

This place was great. As
This place was great. As parking goes, it's “as good as it gets” in tight places. All the expected amenities were there The nicest part about it was the falls. They're very picturesque and the sound is WONDERFUL The one thing lacking is an outdoor fire pit or porch fireplace that is a plus for my family, but we made do without it. Highly recommend

Thanksgiving Vacation
Negatives:
- Starter supply of toilet paper included a partial roll (good for a half-wipe) in each bathroom...no refills available...Had to get more after first use.
- Dish detergent was VERY difficult to find, and we would have been charged if not started on departure.
- TV in main living area was a "display model" stuck in "store mode" with annoying menus popping up about how great the TV was and how highly it was recommended...I had to google directions to take the TV out of "store mode."
- The dishwasher had collapsible plate separators that were very worn out and dropped sporadically so that dishes were crashing around inside (risk of breakage).
- The beds were not comfortable (very hard) and the pillows were extremely flat. The thermostat setting created very distinct temperature gradients throughout each room.
- There was a utility closet in the basement that has a very brisk draft from beneath the door creating a very chilly environment in the room that houses the thermostat, thus making the heat run all night long.
We are grateful for your feedback and it is our fondest hope that we can welcome you again to our home.
