The hotel is one of the oldest Puerto Vallarta, but it has been renovated, has great swimming pools and it's next to the beach, with umbrellas and beach chairs. The restaurant has great food and overall is great location in the heart of the romantic zone.

Our latest Puerto Vallarta Vacation

It was a very pleasant stay. The grounds and room were very clean, and the staff was courteous and helpful. We definitely consider going back to the hotel. Its location is great - waterfront with walking distance to many restaurants and entertainment. The restaurant's food is also good.

I like the cleanliness in the bedroom and all the property, front beach, and close to the Old Puerto Vallarta Town. Bedroom fit for the purpose, no luxury but comfortable, check in and check out fast.

Great value in the Zona Romantica

We loved our stay at the Tropicana. The room was large, clean and our junior suite had both a full kitchen and an amazing balcony overlooking the ocean. Room- decor was nice, space was clean, and very functional. Not as many frills as some places, but uncrowded, beautiful beach, reasonable food, and excellent location and service made this a place we will return to!

The check in took a little longer than specked , not many front desk attendees, the rooms don’t have furniture to put you clothing just one big closet with hangers, our main door had a crack on it. This hotel has a great location and nice swimming pool and very convenient accese to the beach just few steps away.. but I think they need to invest in remodel the rooms!!

I like the fact it had easy access to the beach, it was clean & all the workers I interacted with were all very friendly. On the other hand, every night usually between 8:30-1:30 there was always loud pounding above my room. I believe there was the laundry facility in that area. It kept me awake & very irritating. I had to wear earplugs & it still didn't eliminate all the pounding noise.
