It was an awesome place. Perfect for our family! Beautiful, spacious, close to town, and a great place for pretty walks and hikes. We took our two kids, their spouses and 6 grandkids. We had a fun, memorable weekend. And I was amazed by how many games you have there!

We had a wonderful family vacation here, with all five of our kids and our dog. The cabin was super fun and cozy, the puppet theater was a big hit, as were the fireplace and hot tub. Thank you!

Amazing home, stunning views!!

This place is amazing and perfect for families. The outdoor space was spectacular, the kids ages 6 to 11 spent hours playing and exploring. The views are absolutely stunning, we can't wait to come back at least twice a year!

Idyllwild getaway

The property was as described with a great location and stunning views. The kids loved all the space the home offered, and took over the media room as their sanctuary from the adults, which was a win win. It was a great place to relax and enjoy time with family.

Off the beaten path, just outside of town and so lovely! The layout of house is perfect, we had 7 people and plenty of space. Outside has all kinds of hidden gems, like the outdoor daybed, puppet playhouse, hammock and a grass area that was perfect for us to sit and have morning coffee. We would definitely come back!

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend at Lookout Lodge! A beautiful home with stunning views. Lots of space to move around (3 levels). Outdoor hot tub, ping pong table, and another “chilaxation” area under the deck. We will be back again next year!

The house is spacious, well stocked except for table knives (only one), has wonderful views, close to the town, pleasant neighborhood, large interesting multi level property and very hot water. Had a very pleasant time there with another couple and our pets.

A Great Family Home

This was our fourth stay at the Lodge. Once again we decided that it is a great place for a family vacation. The house is comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped , the views are breathtaking and there is plenty of room for children to run around and play. The owners continue to make upgrades and improvements including a new hot tub. We will be back again!

Everything worked out perfect for all three of our families in the beautiful, stunning Lookout Lodge. The perfect house for a New Years getaway!

This house is incredible. My only hesitation in posting this review is that someone might book it the next time I want to go back! There’s plenty of space for a big group and a big open kitchen for cooking. Tons of land in the back for dogs to run around and a gameroom that has any game you could possibly want to play. And the views!! If this house is available don’t think twice, just book it!

Our family and friends LOVED Lookout Lodge . It was located in the most beautiful serene surroundings in Idyllwild up on top of the mountains! The photos do not do it just! The lodge had everything we needed for meals, comfy beds, lots of room to spread out inside by the fireplace and throughout the house on all 3 levels and outside with lots of room to play bocce ball, puppetteering and relaxing in the jacuzzi. Kathleen was a doll and she responded to our questions promptly. Thankyou to Kathleen for our excellent October 2017 Lookout Lodge Experience!

Nice property but needed more attention to details

The property was nice with great view. However, not as organized and clean as expected. the kitchen condiments and plates very unorganized and run down. Bathrooms and towels were very old and no shampoo or conditioner left to be used. Downstairs bedroom very cold. Property had big rooms and bathrooms and overall comfortable.

Cozy yet spacious

We had a great family getaway in the pines! Positives: spacious, comfortable beds, very clean, inviting living room with fireplace, sooooo many board games, movie room with extensive dvd collection, quiet area, responsive host, spectacular views! Cons: the only con I can think of is that the kitchen is not super well organized or stocked- but that might be because we are a family of cooks. It does have all the basics one would need to cook a great meal, just don’t expect a gourmet kitchen.

Great place for a family reunion

Great location; spacious with enough seating areas to allow for privacy and also for entire family activities. We loved the view from the deck and enjoyed bird watching.
