The location could not be any better. The people of Amboise are amazing and very friendly. Unit could be much cleaner.

Great location if you don’t mind nose

The location was perfect when it came to the amazing view and distance to everything. The only downside was it was noisy being right there on the road. The window facing the road only had shower curtain’s so it got bright early as well. Everything else was great!

Wonderful Stay

As part of a college trip, some of my classmates and I stayed in this apartment. Jacky was very helpful and the accommodations were very nice. The view from the apartment is absolutely beautiful and was the highlight of my stay there. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who is planning to stay in the Amboise region.

Amboise: Charming Old Town Location

Nice location between the river & the castle. The check-in process requires that you meet the owner--a nice, friendly touch but a bit inconvenient although Jacky is very responsive. Clean except for the spiders that invited themselves in whenever we opened the windows. Overall, a pleasant place to stay in the old town.

Central location, great host

If you are staying in Amboise, this apartment is a great location, just a block from the center of town, nice view of the river. Photos in the listing are accurate. Jacky the host is great. He ended up taking us on a tour of the town and recommending restaurants and shops.

Great location in Amboise

The location of the property was ideal. The windows look out on the Loire, and the apartment is a 5-minute walk from the Chateau and the many restaurants in the square below. Amboise is a great base from which to explore the Loire Valley, and there is lots of free public parking nearby. The kitchen is well furnished, and the seating in the main room is comfortable.The description of the apartment on the website was misleading in two respects: the website said there was a clothes dryer but there was none (and one of the two electric towel racks also did not work), and the description said that there were two bathrooms but failed to make clear that there was only one toilet (literally in a separate closet). We were also disappointed that no English-language television stations were made available.

Nice to meet loire, nice gentleman

Loire was a great host, view was excellent, and the flat had everything we need in terms of necessities. Wi-Fi was not good, and the building is old needs some curb appeal, but loved the view of the river and bridge.

Our Loire Valley Homebase

Loved the town of Amboise and how convenient Jacky’s apartment was to everything. Two couples shared the well equipped place with plenty of room to stretch out. Appreciated having comfy beds and bathrooms with enough towels. A few stairs to get to up to the apartment but results in a good view of the river. Being at the hub to the bridge is convenient. Luckily traffic noise wasn’t a concern. Our friends in the front bedroom would have liked opaque or blackout shades to block morning light but they managed. Combo washer/dryer was great and appreciated the great shower! My wife and I are pretty easy going and the apartment was a hit with our group as we watched amazing sunsets over the river enjoying our charcuterie and wine. Hot air balloons launched across the river in the morning which we enjoyed with coffee and croissants! Parking was easy, close by and free! It only took a minute to get into the heart of Amboise by walking. Only regret was we could not stay longer!

Excellent Séjour

Propriétaire très sympa, nous donne des informations très intéressantes sur les activités et site à notre arrivée. Appartement bien agencé et adapté pour 8 ,nous étions 2 familles; 4 adultes et 4 enfants de 6 à 11ans. Très bien équipé, très agréable d'avoir les draps et serviettes fournis + ménage compris, le petit plus qui fait la différence... Idéalement situé en centre ville d'Amboise au 2e étage, vue magnifique. Ville dynamique. Nous avons pu faire en 2 jours le zoo de Beauval + 2 châteaux. Et encore beaucoup à faire aux alentours. Séjour formidable !!! Merci encore !

Fantastic Property

Fantastic location and perfect size for our family of four. Location is in the heart of the city so great walking to local restaurants, shopping and amazing chocolate and cheese shops. Can’t say enough wonderful things about the property.

Two Bathrooms but only one Toilet

We booked this unit for three nights while exploring the Lourie Valley. We were two mature couples and wanted to make sure that each place we stayed had two bathrooms. Well, they had two showers and two sinks, but one toilet located in a small closet off of the eating area. It was so small that when you closed the door, it almost hit your knees. The unit is up two very long flight of steps (approximately 45 steps) so getting our luggage up and down was not easy. The front of the unit could easily be improved to be inviting, but as it is it looks like a homeless area with weeds growing up through the flooring. The pictures on line show a grassy area or green outdoor carpeting with chairs there. The beds were fine, and the living area and kitchen area were as advertised. Great location, but parking can be a problem as their is no dedicated parking for the unit. Overall it was not what we expected

Great location

Jacky's property is in the perfect location. The apartment was fully equipped for our party of four adults, and the location downtown was perfect. We were able to walk to so many wonderful restaurants from the apartment. The Lion D'Or next door to the apartment was excellent. Jacky was very helpful in suggesting sight seeing trips. Don't miss the Sunday street market on the banks of the river Loire, so many vendors from all over the area.

Très belle ville et alentours. Énormément de choses à faire pour les plus petits comme les plus grands. L’appartement est génialement situé avec une déco très sympa. Le loueur est très agréable et arrangeant ce qui ne gâche rien. Je recommande fortement.

Very nice apartment, well located

We spent 1 week in this beautiful apartment. It was the ideal place to come back to after visiting the castles in the area. The apartment is very clean, comfortable and well equipped, we found everything we needed. The apartment is situated in the citycentre of Amboise, supmarkets, bakeries, restaurants etc. are located in walking distance. Jacky was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We can highly recommend this apartment, we had a brilliant holiday and would love to go back.

Comfortable apartment in great location

Apartment is in a great location in Amboise, a short walk to the castle, restaurants, supermarket. 2 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms as shown in the pictures. Beds were comfortable, all the required cooking facilities and well equipped kitchen. Nicely decorated, very clean and tidy. Our host Jacky was really friendly and helpful. Gave us great advice on tourist attractions in Amboise and the Loire. Our 6 year old loved the Zoo Beauval, Amboise Chateau,(which had a fantastic children specific English audio guide, Chateau de Luce, and chateau villandry (amazing garden). Great views of the Loire from the Windows. Only issue was noise on Friday night from bar downstairs, but during the week it was quiet. We would definitely recommend.

Superbe

Adorable appartement décoré avec goût et très bien situé au pied du majestueux château d'Amboise. L'endroit est magnifique en bord de Loire à une minute des rue piétonnes . Accueil chaleureux du propriétaire qui à le sens du détail. Je recommande sans réserve ce jolie nid douillet. Merci à Jacky et à bientôt .

Très bel appartement idéalement placé à Amboise

Parfait pour un séjour d'un WE ou d'une semaine. L'appartement est parfaitement situé dans la ville, toutes les commodités à 5 minutes. Les visites et les pauses repas peuvent se faire à pied. L'appartement est très propre, fonctionnel et surtout vraiment conforme aux photos. Très bon rapport qualité prix pour le nombre de couchages.

Très bel appartement conforme à la description !

Très bel appartement (les photos décrivent la réalité), très fonctionnel, au pieds du château d'Amboise et proche de toutes les commodités nécessaires à un séjour réussi (parking, boulangerie, Carrefour market, marché d'Amboise le dimanche matin). 8 couchages disponibles (canapé lit de bonne qualité !), 2 salles de bain fonctionnelles. Appartement très propre. Vaisselles disponibles (et dans les quantités nécessaires) et électroménager de très bonne qualité (lave-vaisselle notamment). Appartement à recommander pour 1 week end ou 1 semaine.
