'Sunshine Paradise' es una residencia de dos pisos con un hermoso estudio superior y un gran patio ventoso donde puede cocinar y disfrutar de sus comidas con vistas al mar Caribe, el puerto y la arena dorada y blanca en Brighton Beach, una de las mejores playas En la costa oeste. También puede sentarse afuera en el bar tomando un trago mientras admira las impresionantes puestas de sol o tumbado en la hamaca y escucha el sonido de las olas.
El estudio es una gran sala de estar-dormitorio con un gran armario doble y una segunda habitación con una puerta y una cortina doble.
El dormitorio principal en el estudio tiene una cama king-size con dosel y aire acondicionado y un ventilador de techo.

La habitación más pequeña tiene una cama individual y un sofá cama.
La cocina está afuera en el patio siempre ventoso y agradable.

Si sube unos pasos más arriba desde el Patio hasta la plataforma en el techo, puede tomar un baño de sol privado o sentarse y observar los barcos de vela y los cruceros para pasar. ¡Desde el patio también puede bajar la escalera circular a la piscina y, por supuesto, a la playa!

Solo lleva de cinco a diez minutos llegar a la ciudad para ir de compras, entretenerse y cenar en los restaurantes de la costa oeste.

El estudio ofrece todas las comodidades, incluido el servicio de limpieza semanal y es especialmente adecuado para recién casados y familias con y sin hijos.

Wonderful, private location, beautiful views

My fiancé and l had a wonderful 11 day stay at this beautiful home/Villa. The views were amazing with the floral landscape and ocean views. We enjoyed the outdoor covered kitchen and tremendous sized balcony area. The interior was decorated with a mix of European and tropical furnishings. Very simple but very quaint and comfortable. Our host Georg and Gertrud were wonderful and so helpful. We actually got married directly on the beach at the property while there. The hosts were so accommodating in helping us on our special day. We will definitely be back to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you Georg and Gertrud!!

Fantastic relaxing beach holiday

We stayed for a week, but it felt like two weeks, we usually get a car and rush around trying to see everything but this holiday we just relaxed in this beautiful location Wonderful beach, Quiet, well-maintained and clean apartment. Gertrud was extremely welcoming and took us to the supermarket Highly recommended it to anyone who wants the beech almost to yourself !

Lovely beachfront home

We stayed in the upper level of this beachfront home. The air conditioning works well and great television; lots of channels. Outdoor kitchen was fun..beautiful ocean view.

Truly Sunshine Paradise

Great stay right on a clean, quiet beach. Basic functional kitchen. Easy walking to grocery store, bus stop and Bridgetown. Our host was personable and accessible, but gave us our privacy as well. Would highly recommend!

This property is everything it says & even more! Gertrude & her son were very helpful and attentive to be sure it was the perfect vacation. We toured the entire island & all the beaches. The beach at Sunshine Paradise was the best!! We would definitely return.

Wow! What an amazing place Sunshine Paradise is. Beautiful apartment with a stunning view. Gertrud is a great host, thoughtful and helpful. The beach is stunning and so relaxing. The location is quiet so it depends on what you like to do . Rascals beach bar is a few minutes walk away as is Stade Rum Distillery. For trips further afield you need car, taxi or bus, all very easy to use. We would love to return and really appreciate Gertrud sharing her home!

Amazing Place

My wife and I stayed here over Christmas and could not be happier with our experience. The property is beautiful and located right on the beach, what a great feeling stepping onto the beach in the morning for a walk or swim! The studio was clean and everything we needed was there. Gertrud is also a super host, really helpful with everything and lots of information for us. Really can't praise Gertrud or the property enough!

A Special Place in the Sun

I have been thinking about the words I would use to describe my stay at Sunshine Paradise. It truly is a special place and the owners are tremendous. The accommodations are wonderful and you can really feel self-sufficient. The view from the balcony to the beach was gorgeous. I loved the short direct walk to the beach. I plan on visiting again, it is my new Bajan home. Cheers.

What a wonderful holiday.

A beautiful home on a nearly deserted beach. Easy reach to Carsile Bay, Bridgetown, Batts Rock, restaurants, supermarket and buses. The accommodation is extremely spacious and comfortable and the views are unprecedented. Gertrud our host is there to offer help and advice without any hint of intrusion. We hope to return.

A place in heaven....

Mesmerising view of the Caribbean Sea whilst drinking coffee and eating breakfast sat in the open air kitchen area. Fantastic comfortable bed, lots of space and lots of breeze. A new place but it felt like home. Thank you Gertrud and Harold for the most magnificent time. I wish we could've stayed longer. Best place we've ever been to for sure.

Brighton Beach

Gertrud is the most welcoming of hosts, and Brighton Beach is one of the most spectacular beaches in Barbados! The bachelor is very spacious, with. huge outdoor terrace, with the most amazing view of the beautiful garden and directly on to the beach. The outdoor kitchen is a bit like "glamping", but had the basics. We rented a car for our stay, which allowed us to do all of our shopping and go to our favourite restaurants and attractions around the island. I miss it already!

We just returned from 10 wonderful days at this studio apartment on Brighton Beach. We have been to Barbados several times before, but never to this location, and we were delighted with our accommodations as well as the beach! Our favourite spot was the large covered veranda from which we could watch the cruise ships coming in first thing in the morning, the sail boats or fishing boats later in the day, all while eating our breakfast. It was quiet, restful and private, but Gertrud was always available and helpful when needed - a great hostess. We are already looking forward to our next vacation there! Ausgezeichnet, Gertrud!

Barbados Far from the Cold

We had a fantastic view, and immediate access to the beach. The layout was great, having the kitchen in the outside balcony was a nice touch. Allowed us to enjoy the views and sound while cooking, eating, or doing some work on the dining room table. The host was very attentitave and made our stay delightful. You do need a car at this location as it a bit removed from the action and restaurants. A pool was advertised but its really small and not for adult swimming. A minor note is that the towells could use some refershing.

Old school paradise

The location is absolutely outstanding! Located steps from the beach, we spent hours in the ocean everyday. The location is close to stores, restaurants, and a rum distillery is about 100 yards north. The on site host George was available and assisted us with anything we asked for while giving us privacy. Communication with the owner, Gertrude was easy and timely. The apartment is spacious, with an air conditioned bedroom, a large bathroom and an outdoor kitchen. There is a lovely veranda that overlooks the beach/ocean where we spent many evenings. On top of the close proximity to the beach, there is a refreshing swimming pool. The property also has floats, kayaks, paddleboards, and snorkeling gear for use. Sunshine Paradise is a great private retreat for a real island experience.

A little bit of Paridise

This clean, spacious, and comfortable apartment was just perfect. The quiet and relaxing setting was just what we were looking for. Steps from the white sandy beach with its clear aqua waters was a delightful way to spend the day! Beach chairs, loungers, table, and umbrella is available for your use under the palm or almound tree. There is even a kayak and snorkeling equipment for your entertainment. Most importantly, the hosts, Gertrude and Harold, were the nicest people, Always available to answer any questions. La Cabana, a restaurant at one end of the beach, served very good food in a perfect setting. We also recommend " Donna's Kitchen", a local take out place. Her shrimp tacos were the best ever! We rented a car which allowed us to travel to all parts of the island! Thanks, Gertrude, for the great week!

Heaven on Earth!

As they say “Heaven is a little closer in a home on the beach!” and it truly was. My wife and I stayed here for 9 nights which went by way too quickly. The owner, Gertrud and her son George, were fantastic hosts, making us feel at home but giving us enough space to do our own thing. The property is fabulous with all amenities we could ask for. The best part was being only about 50 steps from dipping our toes in the water. The beach here is not busy at all so you don’t feel crowded in like other beaches. Great snorkeling in front of the house in crystal clear blue/green water. Location is far enough from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas, yet close enough to walk or take a short drive to groceries, shopping, restaurants and activities. We rented a car for the first three days which allowed us to explore the island, see sights we wanted to see and shopping. The last half of our stay, we just kicked back and enjoyed the tranquility of the house and the beach. A perfect getaway! You must stay here on your next trip to paradise!!

Tired and dated

We booked to stay for 2 weeks in early December, but had to leave 4 days early, because of the poor standard of cleanliness and comfort. We had to move on to another property as we were so disappointed and unhappy with the state of the apartment. Filthy pillows, mattress and stained sheets. Ripped and dirty outside seat coverings. Old and rusty kitchen equipment. Broken shower fitting. Frayed towels. Cracked and chipped crockery. A piece of string for a washing line. When I pointed out the 4 filthy pillows to the owner, she only replaced 2 of them and put the other 2 badly stained ones underneath the new ones. The pictures on the website must have been taken many years ago, as they do not portray the reality of the accommodation. On the plus side, it is ideally situated just in front of a lovely sandy beach, with a safe clear sea.

Perfection!

One of our best vacations ever. Gertrud and Harold, the hosts, are fantastic and very responsive to any issues. We loved it (and them) so much that we have booked another extended stay for 4 weeks. Excellent site and accommodation! Quiet, spotless mile long beach and green flash sunsets. The large kitchen/dining table balcony area with a gorgeous ocean view also has lounging chairs, a hammock, and a hightop island seating four. We spent most of our non-beach time there. Very comfortable beds, ample closet space, large bath with shower and tub. Bonus items not mentioned in previous reviews, beautiful gardens, laundry machines on site, rooftop sunbathing with a terrific view, outside shower. There are two restaurants on the beach within walking distance, the excellent La Cabane is often rated in top 3 for Barbados, and Rascals for low key, local flavor with a water park for kids. Grocery store is a 10 minute walk away, taxi back is $7. Gertrud will drive you there for your first marketing trip. You absolutely can not go wrong booking Sunshine Paradise for your Barbados vacation.

Short Stay in Paradise

We stayed for a week but we wish it was a month. Wonderful beach. Quiet, well maintained and clean apartment. Hosts are extremely welcoming and lots of fun. Highly recommended.

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!

The first thing I must say is that the hosts, Gertrud and Harold are two of the nicest people you will ever meet and by far the best hosts we have ever had! We stayed at sunshine paradise in January of 2020 and loved it so much we went back again in early March 2020. I cannot say enough to explain just how wonderful it is, it is all perfection. The apartment is beautiful with cathedral ceilings and hardwood floors all whitewashed to give it a light beachy feeling. While lying in bed you can look out of the window to gaze at the ocean. Double doors open up onto the best feature which is the outdoor patio. Having the kitchen outside is wonderful. It is great to be able to be outside listening and looking at the ocean while making and eating meals. There are also comfortable Adirondack chairs and a great hammock for relaxing. When not on the beach this is where we spent most of our time, looking out at the amazing view! The apartment is perfect and you will want for nothing except to wish you could stay longer. Now for the beach, which is right in your backyard. Gertrud has everything you need for the beach, lounge chairs, sand umbrella, kayak, snorkel and mask. You open the gate and take 5 steps and you are in a perfect spot. This is the best part as you don’t have to pack up and lug all of your stuff down to the beach. Its two seconds to go back up to the apartment when you need anything. You won’t need to go any farther than this spot for relaxing on the beach. There are never any crowds, the beach is always quiet. The sunsets every night are amazing! The beach is beautiful with white sand and turquoise water. It is great for swimming as the waves, if there are any, are very gentle in this area. You can take great walks on the beach. A short walk to the left brings you to the pier and an outdoor restaurant. To the right is a much prettier and longer walk which also leads to a great outdoor restaurant called La Cabane, tables are right on the beach and the food and drinks are amazing! We headed out with just our bathing suits and a credit card, no shoes or towels and ended up there for a great lunch more than once. It’s a wonderful way to spend the afternoon strolling and swimming down the beach and stopping for lunch. It was the perfect vacation, so relaxing and fun. We will continue to come back again and again. You will not find a more perfect place! I highly recommend this apartment and the wonderful hosts!

Excellent choice.

Our stay at Sunshine Paradise was everything we hoped for and more. The upstairs studio is very roomy, clean and comfortable. Cooking a proper breakfast outside with a view of the blue Caribbean waters was a joy and so was kicking back in the hammock while sipping on a drink. The location was great. It is a quiet neighborhood but not too far from the action. Having a car is a plus but not a must. Taxis are reasonable and public buses are a good option as well. There are a couple of local beach restaurants plus a supermarket up the hill within walking distance. Our host Gertrud is lovely, accommodating and knowledgeable. Go explore the many attractions of Barbados but come back home to Sunshine Paradise to see the sun set over the gentle west coast waves. Highly recommended.

Super Spot to Relax

We stayed a week in this wonderful apartment owned by Gertrud who lives downstairs. The apartment is great for a couple (with or without kids). Our favorite part is the huge deck that overlooks the ocean. It never occurred to us what a great thing it is to have an outdoor kitchen but it meant that we could be outside with the view and weather while making breakfast or dinner. We spent most of our time on this deck. We also really enjoyed walking down the beach and swimming right outside the gate. Very peaceful. Gertrud is a wonderful host and has lived on the island a long time. She is full of information about things to do and how things work - thanks Gertrud! As others have said a car is really useful and allows you to get around. We drove into Bridgetown for bbq chicken (twice as it was so good) as well as going out twice and cooking at the apartment. We would go again in a heartbeat!
