Family Time

Our boys are getting older and we need a place to get away and relax with them. The house was exactly as described. It is in a perfect location and it has plenty of room for everyone on the inside. It was wonderful to sit on the screened porch and listen to the atmosphere around you. We even had some deer come and check us out! We will definitely stay here again.

Great house, great location!

We had a great time at this cottage in Kiawah! It was less than a 10 minute walk to the beach and the cottage is in a nice, quiet neighborhood. The property comes with a wagon to haul all your beach stuff, along with beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas. It was nice having all the stuff there. Easy to order bikes for delivery from Alligator bikes. You can ride right on the beach! Sandy gave many helpful suggestions of things to do and places to eat. Would stay again!

Close to beach

We enjoyed out stay at this Sparrow Pond Cottage. We loved the screened porch overlooking the lagoon and use of the community pool. We also loved the close access to the beach- it was an easy 4-5 minute bike ride to a relatively uncrowded beach for the week of July 4th! Appreciated that the cottage had chairs and beach towels that we could use. It was a perfect place for our family of 4 and our dog, Bella. Sandy was great to work with- highly recommend!

Wonderful stay

Loved the location and the cottage was perfect for my family of four. Beach chairs and cart provided was a bonus for us. Host was very helpful and provided many good recommendations of things to do in the area.

Wonderful stay at Kiawah!

The house was perfect for our family of 4 plus 7-month lab puppy, Murphy! It had everything we needed, and we especially loved sitting on the screened in porch in the evening and listening to the frogs. An easy 10–15-minute walk or 5-minute bike ride to the beach and 10-15-minute drive or 30-minute bike ride to the Freshfields shopping area. Kiawah is beautiful, we loved the beach and the bike paths! We hope to be back!

Great Vacation Cottage

We had a great week at this cottage. It’s in a great location with a short walk to the beach. The back screened in porch is a great place to start or end your day taking in all the views and enjoying the beautiful nature Kiawah has to offer. I would highly recommend renting bikes. The property manager/owner is very quick to respond to any questions we had. It was plenty of space for our family of 4 and our two dogs. We will definitely be back ❤️

Great location!

Walks to the beach and pool were quick and easy. Great location near the gated entrance to Kiawah and easy access to the bike trails which is a big reason we keep coming back to the island. The hosts make sure their guests have every to make the visit enjoyable.

Great stay at Kiawah - West Beach

Great cottage at Sparrow Pond. Easy walk to beach, pet friendly, almost across the street from Cougar clubhouse, plenty of beach gear. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend.

Ideal Location

Fantastic location! Everything was as advertised to be. Loved that it was pet friendly and that the owners did everything to make sure that all family members enjoyed their stay. Perfect getaway. The weather could have been better but that was out of anyone's control.

Sparrow Pond Cottage

We had a great time at this Sparrow Pond Cottage. The communication with the owner was great and everything came as advertised. If you're visiting Kiawah with a pet, we would definitely recommend. Great location with quick access to the beach.

Sparrow Pond Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at this Sparrow Pond cottage. It was a lovely property at a great location on the lagoon and close to the beach. It easily accommodated our group of 5 and 2 dogs. It was such a treat to be able to have the dogs with us! We would happily stay here again.

Family Trip (2nd time staying here)

Perfect place to stay. Clean, close to beach! Love the screened in porch. We saw a family of armadillos and a large gator walking in yard to the pond behind the house during our stay. Sandy was pleasant to work with and called to make sure our stay was going well.

Cozy Cottage

My family and I stayed in the cottage for a week. It had everything we needed. It was nice to have some non-perishables included in the kitchen, it saved us money at the grocery store. We would stay here again.

Perfect Location

This was a great location. My son and I golf quite a bit and we loved being able to walk right across the street to the bag drop at Cougar Point. Have two teenagers and a dog. The has was not huge but accommodated is perfectly. We were there the week of July 4th. Even during that time we felt like we had the beach to ourselves. The beach was absolutely beautiful. The house is really close the Fairfield’s Village. We rode our bikes there several times. Overall, we had a great stay.

Kiawah Hideaway

A short walk to the beach and close to the Kiawah River. Everything inside including kitchen cabinets and appliances were working and clean. The home overall is in good shape and obviously cared for. The screened in porch got a lot of use from us and the wrap around deck easily allows small kids or dogs freedom to move around. There are some extra beach toys in case the kids need them. There is a bit of bus traffic on the adjacent road during the day and evening for the clubhouse next door. So if you are an extremely light sleeper be aware of that. I would recommend to friends who are interested in staying on Kiawah. Sandy was very responsive and a great host.

Great location on Kiawah

I had a lovely, peaceful six week stay in this comfy cottage on Kiawah Island. It was my first time on Kiawah and loved the location - easy walk to the beach, grocery store and restaurants less than two miles away, and easy access to bike trails. The cottage sits in a very quiet neighborhood lush with tropical trees and plants overlooking a lagoon. The nature trail to the beach is just gorgeous! While the kitchen is small, I cooked in it multiple times each day and found it had everything I needed. Very comfy couches and beds. I liked the layout of the cottage and wow … the outdoor spaces are wonderful. Spent many, many hours on the screened porch! Sandy is a great host and checked on me every once in awhile to ensure that my trip was going well. Hoping to return to Kiawah again - just loved it!

Thanksgiving on Kiawah Island

We enjoyed staying at The Treehouse, a cottage at Sparrow Pond. It was comfortable and cozy. It is in a beautiful, natural setting on Kiawah Island.

Homey Kiawah Cottage

Homey cottage with a gated deck and screened porch, this is perfect location for kids, dogs, and friends. Very comfy and has obviously seen lots of family time. I appreciated the cabinets stocked with kitchen essentials, the storage space full of beach equipment and sand toys. While not ocean front, the waves can be heard at night, and the 10 minute walk through the woods to the beach seemed like the perfect amount of exercise. I loved drinking coffee on the screened porch and watching the egrets and great blue heron fishing for dinner in the pond… Loved staying a month here and hope to book again.

Great location for walking to the beach! .

Perfect location close to dining , minutes to the beach and shopping. We enjoyed sitting in the screen porch hearing the ocean and catching a glimpse of it. Having beach chairs there was great as well. We will be back to the treehouse!

My father, Joe Kay, although born in Lakeland, FL, grew up in South Carolina. After highschool in Moncks Corner, he graduated from the Citadel in 1953. My husband and I were introduced to Kiawah in 1979 and encouraged Daddy to come check out the beautiful island only 21 miles from Charleston. He purchased The Treehouse in 1986 and has shared it with renters every since!

Just a 2 minute walk finds you at the brand new Cougar Point clubhouse where you can enjoy a meal, watch sporting events or play a round of golf. Our guests keep telling us how much they enjoy all the extra amenities we provide so you have few extra things to bring from home. We strive to make our place your home away from home! We love dogs and want you to bring your 4 legged children with you to enjoy (please bring their beds so that they will feel at home). Dogs can run free on the beach from October - March. Other months, you can still enjoy the beaches with your dogs on leash.
