Family Vacation

Our family had a wonderful stay. The accommodations were exactly as described. The location was great for restaurants, shops, and walking to the tube. The neighborhood was quiet and great for exploring.

Convenient location

Easy access to Main Street and short, easy walk to Tube station, tons of great shops and restaurants along Main Street. Glad we stayed here

Great for family

This location was great for access to downtown London and a lovely neighborhood to explore. I have two college aged children and a teenager and the space worked wonderfully. The stairs were narrow but as a landing spot it was well located. We really enjoyed our stay!

Short vacation stay

Nice place that’s about a half mile walk to the tube station. The only downside is that it’s on the third floor and there’s no elevator and the stairs are very narrow. Very clean and the process to check was very easy

Fabulous!

We had a fabulous stay in this Islington flat! Sacha is quick to communicate and so helpful. The flat is very clean, modern, and in a great location. We would definitely stay here again - highly recommend!

Great stay

Great flat in a very nice neighborhood. Lovely restaurant pubs and shops around the flat. 10 minutes walk to the next tube station, bus stops just around the corner. Great for a family vacation to discover London. Flat is clean and has a nice furniture. Communication with Sasha was very easy. We will come back

Small, hot, far

This place is not great for tourists. It's a long way from most of the tourist activities and it takes about 12 minutes to walk to a subway stop. It's also very small with nowhere to put a single piece of luggage in the bedroom or bathroom. Also note that there is no A/C so anything in spring or summer will be very warm. The common area is upstairs as is one bedroom but both bathrooms are downstairs, right next to one another. Strange layout, not convenient or roomy.

Winter stay

Very good location. Easy access to 2 train stations and buses. Temperature control in the hand of the owner which made making the temperature in the unit comfortable challenging. Talk to the owner before booking or arriving about temperature controls.

Great value

This property was great for us. Lots of places to dine in the neighborhood. It is a distance from the main attractions, but bus and subway stops are very close, making it an easy trip. It was warm during our visit and the property does not have air conditioning. But a quick communication with the host led us to where the fans were stored. Please note, there are stairs!

Awesome apartment for your stay in London.

Highly recommend this accommodation for a families stay in London. Modern, clean apartment with all amenities provided, including hotel quality bedding and towels. Sasha is an attentive host who responds quickly. Chocolate and bottle of wine welcoming us after a long trip we're much appreciated. London attractions easily accessible via local transit. Groceries are a short walk away. Neighbors are welcoming and helpful. Only challenge, common in old London buildings, would be the steep narrow staircase to enter the apartment, but we navigated it quite easily with a family of 6 and lots of luggage. Thanks Sacha for a wonderful stay!

Islington shop loft

Renovated older apartment above shops on a busy street in Islington. Access to apartment is between two shops at street level, then down a narrow passageway and up steep winding steps. Apartment itself is nicely renovated, but layout is not ideal with no bathroom on top level and two bathrooms on bottom level. Extra trundle bed in master bedroom is basically unusable as pulling it out completely blocks bathroom access. At times staff from shops were standing outside street door smoking and access to apartment was awkward. Neighbourhood is wonderful with many shops restaurants and easy access to transit. Owner was lovely to work with and provided many great amenities but overall the unit is not one we would book again. Weather was cool when we were there and upper level of apartment was still 25c with windows open and fans on, so with no air conditioning this unit might be stifling during high temps.

5 days in london

We stayed 5 days in this apartment and thoroughly enjoyed all the sites in London. The apartment is a 10 minute walk to two stations which allows access to the tourist sites in 20-35 minutes. The tube is easy to use with tap in tap out credit cards. Islington area also seemed safe and came with several pubs and restaurants to access. The apartment requires walking several flights of narrow curving stairs. Bring luggage up and down is a challenge for several in our group and we were all happy to escape uninsured. The kitchen is well equipped with microwave, dishwasher coffee maker etc. there are three bedrooms and two full baths which was good for our group of five adults. The bedrooms are tight and there is little room for storage. Several of the closets are locked and or occupied by equipment so unpacking and luggage space is very limited. The apartment is heated but only has fans for cooling. During our stay the upper level reached 31 degrees C even with the fans. This temperature left the apartment quite uncomfortable and sleeping was limited. We were thankful for the fans. Our group agreed we would not use this apartment again. The main issues being the stairway access, temperature and lack of storage.

Muy limpio y bien comunicado

Se ajusta a la descripción del anfitrión, estaba todo muy limpio y bien preparado, el anfitrión contesta rápido a los mensajes y es muy amable. Metro y autobuses próximos a la casa, también hay supermercados cercanos. No tenemos nada negativo que poner de nuestra estancia. Sin duda repetiremos en esta casa cuando volvamos a Londres!!

Logement très propre et très bien situé géographiquement. Un peu petit quand même pour 10 personnes ( nous étions 6 adultes et 4 ados de 15 ans) . Convient mieux pour 8.

Très bien

Un peu loin des attraction, par contre près du métro. Communication avec l'hôte est excellente. L'appartement est sur 2 étages. Beaucoup de marches et étroites. Le matelas de la grande chambre est dû pour un changement. Dans l'ensemble l'appartement est très bien.

Appartement parfait avec de petites attentions : mousseux au frais, petits chocolats... Linge de maison très propre. Commerces et restaurants a proximité. A 10 min à pieds du métro. Seul petit bémol, escalier étroit et raide.

Great base for a family trip to London

From booking we had good communication with Sacha and he made sure we had the extra beds required for our family group. He sent the key collection information in plenty of time. The flat was just as pictured in the listing, and was clean and very well equipped. There are plenty of shops and eateries in the nearby area and its only a 7 minute walk to the tube. We had a great stay and would definitely book again.

Great accommodation and an ideal situation for getting around London

Fab property in a central location

Well appointed flat in a great, central location. Great that the owners added extra beds for our party of 5 so we could all have a bed. Steep, narrow stair case which was fine for us.

Lovely apartment in a great location on three floors via very steep, narrow stairs. The only negative was that, on arrival, we found a clothes dryer full of wet sheets and towels pumping hot, moist air into the apartment, on what turned out to be the hottest days ever recorded in London. The host cannot be blamed for this. I would recommend the apartment and the area to anyone comfortable enough to climb a lot of stairs.

London experience

My family and I had an amazing time at this property! It was very clean and well equipped. The neighborhood had lots of little restaurants around with in walking distance. Sacha was very attentive to a couple of questions I had. The recommendation of the Italian restaurant was spot on!! We had a great meal! The owner was also delightful! I would love to come with my girlfriends to stay! Thanks so much for great memories!
