Nuevo en Mendocino Preferido, histórico 1880 Coastal Home en el borde de la aldea de Mendocino. Estancia en un pedazo de historia en esta increíble vistas de aguas blancas 1880 en casa que ofrece nostálgico y espectaculares puestas de sol. Disfrutar de las vistas y sonidos relajantes de las olas mientras se relaja en el sol-porche con un buen libro o tomar un paseo para acceder a los 340 acres escénicas del parque de estado de los promontorios de Mendocino y la playa del río Grande. El salón ofrece otra área para acomodarse en frente de la chimenea crepitante y disfrutar de esas vistas increíbles. En la planta superior hay tres habitaciones, (2 reinas, 1 habitación con dos camas), todas con vista al mar. Sofá cama situado en la sala de estar. We chose this place over a nearby inn or bed and breakfast because of the more affordable price, and it did not disappoint. We were in town for a wedding, and it was the perfect distance from the venue, as well as neighboring towns and local shops.The house had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay—even creamer for the coffee maker, which was stocked with coffee grounds. We didn’t have any issues during our stay that required reaching out to the property managers; the instructions provided were clear, detailed, and easy to follow.While it didn’t have AC, the temperature is pleasant year-round, and if it ever gets chilly, there are baseboard heaters and a fireplace on the first floor (with firewood and kindling included). Quaint and quiet—just what we needed. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, this is a great spot!

Excellent communication from host on every aspect! Checking in/out, things to do in the area, things to know about the house, etc. Kitchen was well equipped and we appreciated the hand soaps & kleenex in many rooms. Nice towels, comfortable beds, blankets on the sofas for cuddling, bbq, car port was helpful in the rain, ample seating in each room. A great stay!

Great stay!

The property was charming and homey. It was nice to hear the waves crashing at night and the crackling, cozy fireplace. Our bed was comfy. We liked the location too, just outside of town but easy access. The management company was easy and responsive. We enjoyed our stay, thank you!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Myself and my little dog had a great weekend at McLoud House.The lights were on and the house was warm when I arrived. There was plenty space and great to have 2 sitting rooms. We used the front room with the open fire. Having a basket to carry the fire would and a bucket for the ashes would have been perfect.It’s a great location, although you do need a car to get to the headlands as there are no sidewalks and it is a narrow road. Great views from the front of the house and a private garden and parking to enjoy. I would recommend taking a torch if you have a dog as it is VERY dark at night!Highly recommend this property.

Wonderful Property!

This was our second stay at this property. It is a very charming historic house with amazing views of the ocean from most all of the rooms. The cozy parlor is a perfect place to pass an afternoon reading a book or playing a game by the fire. The house is very convenient to the grocery store at the end of the street, the beach and to the town of Mendocino.

Gorgeous Location

Wonderful spot on planet earth. Views from all rooms of the ocean, even while it rained. Breathtaking sunsets. And they let us bring our dogs. Nice fireplace and the local radio station KOZT made everything groovy. We went to the Harvest Market the first night and bought hot clam chowder and sourdough for dinner. The next night we has fresh dungeness crab. Mendo baby.

It is a good home base for all of our activities in the area. Easy walk into town (albeit without a sidewalk) and amazing ocean views right from the bedroom. Mendocino weather can be tricky but Saturday was ideal for a day at the beach with an afternoon glass of wine on the porch. What more can you ask for?

Lovely getaway to the bluffs

This home has historic charm and felt like we were staying at grandma’s house. The house is in a nice big lot so you don’t have to worry about neighbors being on top of you. Everything worked as expected and the amenities were perfect for our family of 5 (2 couples and 1parent). It is located within a mile of beautiful downtown Mendocino. The only tiny downside is that Lansing road itself is not very pedestrian friendly so even though the house is close to downtown, it was a bit uncomfortable to walk on the busy road with no shoulder until we were able to reach a side road. Perhaps there is a pedestrian trail behind the house we don’t know about. Other than that, it was a perfect stay!

Our stay at the Mccloud house was wonderful. Everything about the house and area was just as I expected. The beds were cozy, the views were beautiful and the walks into town were fun. Except a couple of things that we found odd was that the stereo system has a turntable BUT not one ( Record/ Vinyl ) to be found in the house. AND! When we went to go try and have some TV time , there are no instructions at all to be found on how to turn on the TV and get it going so we gave up and tried to watch a DVD movie AND! There is only 1 dvd movie in the whole house to watch! ( Casino Royal ) and that was in bad shape too! It was kinda odd we thought. Maybe someone needs to work on that a bit more Hmmmm….But! All in all it was still nice getaway.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family of five enjoyed our stay at the Mc Cloud House. We arrived late and used the lock box in town to get the keys. Once inside, the home was spotless and filled with wonderful vintage treasures. It was the perfect amount of space for us to spread out and each have a bit of privacy. My kids enjoyed reading on the porch looking out over the water. In the evenings we watched the sunset then cozied upon the couches for games. The house is minutes from town and very convenient to pop in to pick up a meal or go for a morning walk on the headlands. It’s a beautiful home in a great location.
