****We appreciated that the cabin had easy access to the river, and we were happy that our small dog was welcome. Those were definitely the highlights of our stay.Unfortunately, the property itself was very poorly maintained. The yard had not been mowed, there was junk piled around the property, and several boards on the deck need to be replaced because they create a safety hazard.Cleanliness was also a major disappointment. We had to request cleaning supplies just to clean the patio tables, which were covered in thick dust and dirt. There were thick cobwebs throughout the cabin, especially on the window ledges, and the kitchen cabinets and drawers were dirty inside. We also encountered quite a few spiders and other bugs.We also experienced several maintenance issues during our five-night stay. The refrigerator continually accumulated ice, which melted and leaked into the drawers, ruining some of our food. Dealing with standing water in the refrigerator became an ongoing frustration throughout our stay. In addition, the toilet did not flush properly, which should have been addressed before guests arrived. The cabin was stocked with only a very limited amount of basic supplies—very little dish soap and hand soap, and only one trash bag for our five-night stay. With better maintenance, more attention to cleanliness, and repairs to the basic amenities, this could be a much more enjoyable place to stay. We really wanted to like this property because of its location
