We had a lovely time at this beautiful apartment. it had everything we needed for our stay in Rome! The location cannot be beat. We drove in and Marcello offered a convenient parking recommendation nearby. From the apartment we could walk to the Vatican and it was a short walk to the subway/metro. Our hosts were superb! Marcello was easily reachable and super responsive. He provided great recommendations and could not have made our stay more enjoyable! This apartment was a gem! We enjoyed our time in Rome!!

5 Stars! Ideal Family Spot Near Vatican with AC & Amazing Hosts!!!

We had an incredible stay at this apartment with 4 adults and 5 kids—it was perfect for our group! We felt very safe throughout our stay, and the location was ideal. Just a 10-minute walk to the Vatican and surrounded by delicious restaurants and gelato shops (literally right at the bottom of the stairs!).The A/C worked fantastically, which was a huge plus in the summer heat. We were about a 10–15 minute drive to the Colosseum and easily walked to both the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. One of our favorite discoveries was the amazing Mercato Trionfale just a half mile away—fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, and such a vibrant local vibe.A huge thank you to Agnes and Paola for being so responsive and welcoming. We were greeted with a thoughtful gift basket and wine, which made our arrival extra special. The kids devoured the candies, bread, and jam immediately!Highly, highly recommend

Close To Vatican

Apartment was great. Was very close to Vatican which was the main purpose for this trip. Close to many bars and restaurants. Close to metro. Air-condition worked very well. Bed rooms in apartment were big. Elevator worked great. Taxi stop right outside building for easy access to taxi transportation.

Would go back in a minute.

Nicola was the most gracious host. Everything was on time and clean. A block from the Vatican and overlooking a town square. More than I expected. I also left some property behind when we left for Florence. Nicola went right over to the apartment and secured the item. He even offered to bring the property to me in Florence. I did get the property back and if anyone wants to stay in Rome, contact Nicola.

Double booked!

Arrived in rome after a 13 hour flight to find the vrbo double booked. I had reserved the apartment and paid in full by July. Stood on the streets with my family and all our luggage for an hour before we could get another place which was sub par to what i paid for with no refund or compensation. Please be very careful of this bait and switch

Things to Know

I had sent multiple messages to owner prior to our stay. Once we paid our second payment, the owner finally reached out to let us know that his calendar had a snafu but was willing to refund us or move us to a different apartment about a 5-10 minute walk from original location. Since the apartment had more room, better bed layout for our family, an extra bathroom and not too far from where we originally thought, we accepted with no price changes. At that time, I asked about the overnight fee...it was then he let us know about that. I had read in other reviews with even other properties that this was a thing, so be ready to pay in cash 6 euros per person/per night. This should be in the listing. The property itself was quite roomy and clean. We were told it was just recently renovated, but looking around, it wasn't complete--door moldings unfinished and some wires hanging loose in a bathroom. All of which were not an issue for us though. There is also a laundromat about a block away we used, since the location's washer was small for a family of 6 and had no dryer. Again, not an issue but something to be aware of. I would stay at this location again--very close to the subway (or they call bus) so very easy to navigate the city, even for us first timers to Europe.

Great location, clean apartment, poor management

My review is two parts: one, the property is good. It was a great place to stay for our family of 9, near busses and the subway. The flat doesn’t have any main gathering area other than a small kitchen table, so you basically just have bedrooms, which isn’t a deal breaker, but something to be aware of. If you just need a home base for traveling all day, and don’t plan to spend any extra time in the flat—this will do. The second part of my review is the difficulty with management. When we checked in, he told us check out was 10:00, even though it says on the listing it’s 11:00am. I had planned our train tickets accordingly, so I let him know we would be checking out by 11:00, which he acknowledged via text. On the day of checkout, a cleaning lady showed up before 10:00am, and I tried to tell her we had until 11:00. I showed her my messages with the manager where he acknowledged the 11:00 am check out time, and she awkwardly just waited there while we were trying to quickly pack and get out. As a result of this pressure and awkwardness to get out quickly, I accidentally left my Apple Watch behind, and I have sent several messages to the manager offering to send a pre-paid shipping envelope so I can get it back, and all my messages have gone unanswered. I feel like I have no choice but to leave a poor review, since all my efforts to communicate during and after our stay were so awful.

Super Lage, aber laut.

Die Wohnung ist sehr gut gelegen, aber zwei der Schlafzimmer gehen zu einer sehr lauten grösseren Straße hin. Mit offenem Fenster kann man nicht schlafen. Eines der Bäder roch extrem nach Kanal. Die Betten sind bequem und auf Rückfragen hat die Agentur sehr freundlich reagiert.

Incredible location.

This property was fantastic. The location is spectacular. So many amazing restaurants with in 500 yards and even more with in a ten minute walk. We walked to the basilica and the Vatican with ease. And the taxi ride to the colosseum was only 15 dollars. Acces to everything was superb. The property itself was a spacious theee bedroom with a kitchen and in house laundry. Not that you would want to cook with so many amazing restaurants around but you certainly could if you wanted to stay in one night. Nicola (property manager) was very helpful and always extremely happy. He is very knowledgeable about the area and made sure all our questions weee answered before check in was finished.

Not good for accessibility

Hello, my family and I recently booked this property. Firstly Nicola was good to us under the circumstances. When we arrived we learned that the power went out and that the elevator wasn’t working for 4 hrs in which we desperately needed because my sister is in a wheelchair. We had to carry my sister in her wheelchair which took three people up 2 flights of stairs to get to our room. Once the power was restored we attempted to use the elevator however it was too small for my sister to fit in, which meant that for the entire stay we had to carry my sister in her wheelchair up and down every time we left and came back to the room. This to me was not the way we wanted to start our trip. It was dangerous for us to carry my sister up the stairs. The listing should specify that the elevator is very tiny and not up to today’s standards for accessibility. I’m seeking a refund for this reservation. Thank you in advance. Domenic

Perfect Location!

This was the perfect location for our family of 6 for the 2 days that we returned to Rome before flying home. It was ideal for touring the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica and spending time in the Prati neighborhood. It's a wonderful neighborhood with lots of great restaurants and shops. Nikola and his assistant were very easy to communicate with. And the views of St. Peter's Basilica dome out every window were incredible- especially at night!

La veille de notre arrivé il nous répondait pas nous devions faire de la route. En route la journée même il nous a cancellé soit disant des clients auraient testé positif à COVID.comment il aurait pu nous le dire la veille pour qu’on s’organise c’est très stressant et désagréable. Nous lui avons mentionné et il a remis notre argent. Appelant VRBO heureusement ils nous ont relocalisé pour une nuit merci ensuite nous avons trouvé un autre appartement pour 2 nuits donc beaucoup de Check out et de valise refait au lieu de visiter et de taxis à nos frais. Bref oublier cet hôte si vous ne voulez pas que ça finisse en désastre.Plus jamais!!!

In the Shadow of the Vatican

This property is located at an ideal location for tourists, literally minutes away by foot to both St. Peter's and the Vatican Museum, along with a host of fine restaurants, gelaterias, and public transportation. The apartment was located on the 5th floor, not a problem due to the convenient elevator. Nicolo was very professional and helpful. He provided a lovely welcome gift and recommended some wonderful eateries nearby. The apartment was spacious, with views of St. Peter's dome out of every bedroom window. The bathrooms were clean and updated. Every amenity was provided to cook, refrigerate, and clean. I am so tired of staying in tiny little hotel rooms in European cities with big $$ prices. I love that these type of apartments are available and affordable. They are so much nicer than the alternative. Would highly recommend this property.

Great location!

This apartment is in the perfect location for visiting all the tourist sites in Rome. You can walk everywhere! The apartment has 3 bedrooms which was just right for our family. The only downside is you only have a small kitchen as the common area. We did not spend much time in the apartment other than sleeping so this was not a huge problem for us. Nicola is awesome! He communicated well and assisted with arranging drivers from the the airport. I highly reccomend this apartment if you are going to beautiful Rome!

Very nice property!

We needed three bedrooms and this lovely modern unit was perfect for us. The owner is very attentive and welcoming and even made a dinner reservation for us at what was the best dining experience that we had in our 2 weeks in Italy! He also made a reservation for a driver to take us to the airport the next day. The rooms were spotless, the beds comfortable, the amenities very new, and the owner even had a welcome basket of wine and pastries in addition to a kitchen stocked with olive oil, etc. for cooking. The location is excellent - close to St. Peter’s but not in the tourist area. The neighborhood was charming and quiet. All in all, this was an excellent experience
