Loved the hut and the breakfast hamper was a really good touch. Hot tub and pool and sauna were great. Would stay again.

Hardwick Hut

We absolutely loved our recent stay with you guys, David was excellent and made us feel at home. We loved the evenings in the hot tub. Nothing was too much trouble, we will defo be coming for a visit in the future! Thanks again Jen & Claire x

Very good

Really lovely, relaxing place, fantastic hosts. One improvement could be specific guide for each area, i.e how to use sauna etc… some areas we found slightly harder to use - but nothing that we couldn’t work out! All amazing!

Perfect little getaway

Lovely place. Reception was warm and welcoming. Loads of wood for the log burner and hot tub - I've been to some places where it is restricted and charged extra, so this was very refreshing. Very comfortable little Shepard's hut. Very nice pub/restaurant within a few minutes walk. There is so much to do locally too, I wish we'd had longer to explore. Thank you for a lovely stay ☺️

shepherds hut review

absolutely amazing place to stay definitely got the wow factor we stayed there when storm dennis was raging outside but we where so cozy and snug inside we.used the hot tub the first night before storm dennis arrived takes about two hours to heat up . the hut itself has everything you need, hats off gillian. in one word perfect. definitely be going back in the future.

The shepherd hut was okay from the outside. Inside was a bit grubby cobwebs in windows and floors bitty, not swept underneath anything someone’s breakfast under table. Had to wash all crockery and glasses they had juice leftover in them. Hot tub was great.

Our stay at Ferrensby

We’ve stayed at many of these huts with hot tubs and Gillian’s place is right up there, in fact this hot tub was the best we’ve used. It’s dead easy to operate and holds the heat very well, even overnight. The other facilities were really nice and we really enjoyed our stay. The only thing that could have improved our stay would have been some joining instructions about how to open the automatic entry gate and where to leave the key when we left. Other than that, we had a fabulous time. Cheers. Mike and Sarah.

Wonderful relaxing break

Everything about our stay was exceptional. The place was very easy to find and the host Gillian met us at the gate and gave us all the information we needed for our stay. The hut was very clean and well presented they have really thought about the little things like dressing gowns, plenty of towels, tea, coffee and biscuits. The wood fired hot tub is superb and so much nicer than the electric ones, easy to get going and has a cover over so you can even enjoy in the rain. Harrogate is only a 20 minute drive away and the village of Knaresborough is a 5 minute drive with lots of lovely little shops and places to eat. We will definitely be returning in the future

We stayed here for 2 nights and was made most welcome the facility’s on site was really good especially hot tub which was right outside your door and was very warm and cosy would definitely stay again thank you

Fantastic Property

Fabulous property in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside with great owners. Mulled gin in the hot tub with the stars twinkling overhead and your breath condensing as you relaxed was perhaps the highlight of many memorable moments. Recommended it to loads of friends who have asked about it. Looking at the barn in the New Year!!

Absolutely Fantastic

Everything was fantastic from the minute we arrived for a 3 night stay. Location, hosts, property, and accommodation were all exactly as described. We would not hesitate to recommend staying here. The General Tarleton pub round the corner also had exceptional service and food. We will definitely be booking again!

Absolute pleasure from start to finish... Everything you need for a chilled out holiday, hot tub was awesome has was the pool,also a games room for the kids. David and Gillian always around if needed.

Location

If you want a quite break , this is for you, the farm is in a village where there is no shops only a pub that doesn't open on a Monday and Tuesday. If the weather is bad there is basically nothing to do. Will not be returning.

Shepherd’s hut

My husband and I both enjoyed our stay as it was very relaxing and comfortable. The use of the hot tub was a great bonus. We both loved the area and will return.

Loved the shepherds hut so cute and cosy and the hot tub was amazing especially with the lights at night. Our stay wasn’t long enough that was the only downside would highly recommend.
