Casa con encanto al sur de Broad Kitchen

Uno de los pocos B&B con licencia al sur de Broad. Esta encantadora casa de cocina de 1830 se encuentra en el histórico Charleston, en el distrito más deseable "South of Broad". La ubicación es tranquila, a una cuadra del puerto de Charleston ya media cuadra de los hermosos jardines White Point. Se encuentra a poca distancia de restaurantes, tiendas y lugares de entretenimiento.

La cocina amueblada fue completamente renovada en 2016.

Un primer piso grande contiene una sala de estar / comedor con dos grandes chimeneas. Una cocina de galera cuenta con una gama y campana Wolf, refrigerador Subzero y un lavaplatos Bosch y mostradores de mármol Carrera. El segundo piso ofrece un dormitorio con cama queen, un baño hall renovado, una acogedora guarida y un porche iluminado por el sol, perfecto para estudiar o relajarse al final de la tarde. El tercer piso ofrece una suite principal con una cama queen size, vestidor, lavadora / secadora y un hermoso baño con una hermosa ducha de mármol y vidrio.

Greatest location in Charleston. Very quiet setting and in historic area. Clean house, comfortable beds, lovely walks nearby on Battery. Owner very responsive. We had a marvelous stay.

Pros: Great location, spacious unit, comfy beds.Cons: Poor communication, sub-par cleaning, unwelcoming host Asked about several things response time was 2-4 hours at best and sometimes the next day. Workers showed up 2nd day and blocked access to driveway/parking we were never told about this? No place to put your clothes as most drawers were filled with extra linens and other stuff. Kitchen was not very clean on arrival and apparently previous guest had spilt something in oven and it had not been cleaned, we turned it on to pre-heat and it smoked & caught on fire, decided not to use afterward. After stay got a message from host blaming us and demanding money - not asking if we new anything about it? In general host was very unwelcoming, so I would not recommend this place. Anyway, based on looking at previous reviews that were in any way critical the host will respond that we were terrible and don't know what we're talking about, but I'm just sharing the truth about my stay - there were positives and negatives, I'll leave it at that.

Wonderful stay. Great location. The Kitchen House offers lots of character and convenience while visiting beautiful Charleston. The walk to downtown- King St shopping and restaurants was quick, easy and always felt safe. Host was super responsive and pleasant. We would love to stay at the Kitchen house again.

Absolutely loved our stay in the kitchen house in Charleston!! It was our first time in Charleston and found the location perfect for us. Quiet safe area and easy walking to many sites. The beds were very comfortable and a/c was so nice. Nice outside eating area and fantastic updated kitchen!

This was a great property in a lovely residential neighborhood. In the description I believe they state it’s one of the only rental properties allowed in that neighborhood and you can tell - it’s quiet and beautiful with a distinct lack of commercialism, which is refreshing! The owners were very communicative - we had a small A/C issue on the third floor and they were immediately responsive and came over themselves to help fix the issue. We were in town for a wedding and would absolutely stay here again.

Wonderful beds!!

Good property with good location and communication with Emily, but by far the best part was the supremely comfortable beds! We would come back again for those100%. We would also not try to navigate the drive next time. It was doable, but if we came again, I’d line up the parking passes in advance and make sure I was clear on the street parking rules. So if you don’t have a small car, it may be worth lining up the passes Emily will provide.

Historic Charleston Kitchen House

Excellent, clean property and a wonderful location across the street from the southern tip of Charleston and the waterfront where we stayed with another couple. You're renting the backside of the home (what was formerly the Kitchen portion of the home) that is now cordoned off from the main house but works perfectly as a 2-bedroom unit (on Levels 2 and 3) with a seating room on Levels 1 and 2. Level 1 also has a small but lovely kitchen updated with new appliances. There's also a small balcony on level 2 that looks onto a charming backyard courtyard near where you park your car behind the home. There are full bathrooms on level 2 and 3 just feet away from the bedrooms plus a laundry room and additional closet space on level 3. The owner Emily is super responsive and didn't even charge us when she mailed us some earrings my wife accidentally left by the bed stand. The whole place is nicely furnished with lots of historical books about Charleston. Would absolutely love to come back both to this house and Charleston because there's so much to explore that we weren't able to see in just one weekend.

Peaceful and Beautiful

The property is historic, spacious, and comfortable. It's in a phenomenal location to enjoy the beautifully restored prime residential area of historic Charleston and is only one block away from seawall strolls along the bay. Majestic live oaks and iconic palmettos thrive in the parks and along the streets of this beautiful neighborhood with its historic homes and churches. The "South of Broad" area is the quiet part of Charleston, but it's only a short drive or a pleasant walk to the bustling shops and restaurants of the more common tourist areas.

I have hosted for 8 years and have never had an issue until recently and I feel this added protection is necessary.

This property is legally licensed in the city as a short term rental. It has passed many requirements to be licensed.

The kitchen house is a historic kitchen house to the main house that was constructed in 1830. The main floor has two large fireplaces that were originally used for the cooking / laundry for the main house.

The kitchen house is very charming with lovely windows. The entire house has very recently under gone a complete renovation with high end appliances and marble counter tops and bathroom fixtures.

Enjoy the quiet south of broad neighborhood, close to parks and beautiful gardens. We are within walking distance to King Street with fabulous shopping and many fine restaurants. There are several beaches nearby as well as a wonderful aquarium, children's museum and Charleston Museum, providing many hours of entertainment. Because we appreciate our quiet neighborhood and we're sure you will too, no events are allowed. The outdoor courtyard is limited to 9PM. Off street parking is available for one (1) car.
