Gorgeous and relaxing place to stay

We enjoyed our week at the Blue Dolphin! It was so Peaceful and relaxing! The house was beautiful and spacious! The first day there we seen the most gorgeous rainbow in the back yard! I highly recommend this house and will rent again in the near future!

Excellent Quiet Getaway

My family used the wonderful blue dolphin home as a week get away for my family, my brothers family, and our two parents (10 total people). We never felt cramped, everyone had comfortable sleeping arrangements, and the view was something I will never get enough of. Jim is a great host and was able to answer any and all questions rather swiftly.

Lovely week in paradise

We loved the salt water pool, bird watching, the ocean views, spacious indoor/outdoor living & light filled house. The observation pier was great for watching young marine life but too shallow to snorkel. Jim was wonderful to work with & we will look to rent one of his properties with deeper water in the future.

Hi Jamie, Thank you for the great review and you were wonderful guests, welcome you back any anytime. We use the pier platform to get sun, fishing and access the water. The ocean here is known for being crystal clear, very warm, and thriving sea life. My friend is a long-time scuba diver, dove all over the world, and he tells me that nothing is better than the Keys for sea life. We love walking out there in the shallow water looking at the sea life when tide is down. When the tide is in, up around 5 feet, we snorkel and kayak. The tides here vary a lot. Jim

Awesome family vacation for 9 people

We took three families to Islamorada for our vacation. It was awesome. We had a 17, 18, 10, 8 year old and they were constantly entertained. The adults enjoyed a relaxing time on the patio and by the pool. The space was amazing for this family of 9. We would highly recommend this house.

Everything As Advertised and More

I can tell you how wonderful this property is, but you can look at the website for that. What impressed us the most was the property owner’s sincerity to make sure our stay was enjoyable, and his concern for us when the weather turned sour. The property is in a quite location that gives you easy access to what the Florida Keys offer. Definitely a home worth returning to.

Amazing property and home with a view to die for!

This beautiful home had all of the comforts you could ask for on your vacation. Great bedding and very comfortable mattresses to sleep after the long day in the water or just lounging by the beautiful swimming pool. It had a complete kitchen set up with dishes for 12 with more than ample cookware. Plenty out outdoor seating and we spent a lot of time on the shaded balconies. We would definitely recommend this home and will stay there again for sure!

Fabulous property

Blue Dolphin is a property that needs to be seen to be believed. Beautiful and private it’s the ultimate vacation experience. The home is spacious and well appointed. Perfect for a large family vacation. The host was excellent throughout the process. Great communication before, during, and after our stay. Also a gentleman. I’d recommend this property for anyone looking for a tropical getaway with their family. 5 stars!!

Beautiful home excellent location!

We rented this home over thanksgiving break for our family of 8. With five bedrooms and four bathrooms everyone was comfortable with plenty of privacy. The kitchen was large and great to accommodate large families. The home was immaculate! Jim the owner was fantastic! He would send a text just to welcome you and make sure everything was ok. The home has a pool and beach which is ocean front. We loved just enjoying the pool and warm sun and of course the beautiful location. The home is in Islamorada and near our favorite restaurants in the Keys! We have already booked next year and can’t wait to return!

Quiet and Spacious

The house is large enough to accommodate many families with ample common space; you'll never feel crowded. Three bedrooms upstairs and two bedrooms on the main floor are separated by large living spaces and a large kitchen. The private gated property is quiet from road noise, with a driveway that can fit many vehicles. The backyard is spacious with the pool and sandy yard area providing various options for recreation and relaxing. Owner is very responsive and engaged. Would recommend and would stay again. Wonderful stay at Blue Dolphin

Blue Dolphin was amazing! The house was great to fit the 7 adults and 2 children 5 and 7. We rented a boat for a week just down the street and after boating during the day we went back to the house and enjoyed it. Cooking and playing games as well as hanging out in the pool. The pier was nice to walk on and look down for the fish. The only unfortunate part is you couldn't really swim in the water there as it was only inches to 3 ft. deep, depending on the tides and a lot of rocks and grass. We saw a couple of nurse sharks, black tip shark, sting ray and blue crab along with some little fish. We did rent Kayaks and paddle boards so we were able to put them in the water from the end of the dock. We really enjoyed our time there and can't wait to go back. Jim was great at following up with us after we arrived and after we left!

Spacious property with incredible wild life!

The home was on a huge piece of property where we were able to fish off of the dock and see tons of fun wildlife (sharks, sting rays, turtles, iguanas, and various birds including peacocks!) The home was very clean and the owner was very responsive to any calls or texts. The home was very spacious and had enough space for 2 parents, 3 kids and even grandma had her own bedroom/bathroom. House was well stocked, but truthfully could use some updated pots/pans and other kitchen items such as potholders and tongs. Also in case you are not comfortable with a lot of stairs, this home is 3 levels, as described in the listing. The main floor is the 2nd floor, so children cannot be supervised in the pool from inside the kitchen/etc. If you are looking to fish, you can fish off of the dock, but note that the tide does go out and the water levels drop drastically. Made for some cool tide pools to explore on the shore though! We had a wonderful stay there and would rent again if returning to the area. Thanks Jim!

Amazing View!

Our travel group of seven adults recently stayed at the Blue Dolphin in Islamorada and had a great time. There is plenty of room for everyone to gather on the expansive wrap around porches, relax by the pool or find a quiet nook to gaze out on to the Atlantic Ocean. We loved sitting on the lanai in the morning with our coffee, watching the sunrise change the sky to all the colors of the rainbow. At the end of the day you would find us all, once again, gravitating to the porch to watch the full moon as it illuminated the ocean.We even had the added benefit of seeing a moon rise! The Keys have made an amazing recovery since hurricane Irma came smashing through. The locals are friendly and seem genuinely happy to have tourists enjoy their time on the Key. Our host Jim was very accommodating and answered any questions we had. Any issues we had were addressed quickly and cordially. It was a pleasure to do business with him. Thank you Jim for helping to make this a memorable vacation for all of us.

Outstanding!!

The property was gorgeous and well groomed. The staircase inside the house was a major architectural feature, and very pleasant to look at. The pool was just the right temperature. Cool enough to be refreshing but not too cold that you had cold shock when you got in. We saw wildlife from iguanas to Sandpipers to egrets from the balcony. The ocean view from the balcony on the second floor, where the kitchen is, and living room was spectacular. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and plates. We used Instacart for on the initial order of food, paper goods and liquor, which worked out quite well. my daughters hired a chef one night, which was very pleasant. You should be aware that the thermostat is locked at a minimum temperature. We called the owner and he graciously lowered it for us because being from New England we don’t like heat. There was also an abundance of very nice towels, which as we were a group of 10 was much appreciated. The ping-pong table was in good shape, and we had fun playing. There is plenty to do in the area for all ages. We rented a self drive deck boat for one day. The theater of the sea was a very pleasant experience. I suggest you do not do the extras as they are frighteningly expensive. We also of course did the mandatory feeding of the Tarpons. We reserved a table on open table for 10:30AM at Robbys. We lived like millionaires for a week!

Wonderful home

Our family spent a week in this home and we all loved it! The house sits on almost two acres and is gated, offering a lot of privacy. There is ample parking and room for one car to enjoy door front covered parking. The layout of the house and its size made it possible for five adults and three children to enjoy the stay without ever feeling cramped. The kitchen is well equipped with a nice eating area. There are TVs in all the rooms but we didn't watch much TV. Our favorite thing about the house was the saltwater swimming pool. We spent so many enjoyable days in or next to the pool...the kids loved it and so did the adults. The house is ocean front and offers beautiful views from nearly every room. We were disappointed that we couldn't swim from the house during our stay because of all the seaweed that was washed up but we jumped in the car and made a short ride on Route 1 to Table Top, pulled off the road and had a great time snorkeling. We saw a few stingrays, assorted tropical fish, lobster, crabs and a super cool nurse shark. We liked this spot so much we went back the next day and enjoyed a repeat performance. For dining out, the house is only a stones throw away from Marker 88, hands down the best restaurant we ate at during our trip. Besides the great food, it sits on the water, we sat outside next to the water, and were treated to a breathtaking sunset to top off our amazing meal. The location of the house is great as it is close to so many things. The owner was very friendly and quick to respond. We would book this property again and would happily recommend it to others traveling with family or a group. Great experience!

Perfect!

We had a wonderful week at the Blue Dolphin. The house was spacious for our group of ten. We all enjoyed the pool and the dock. We had some fun catches off the dock and enjoyed seeing the sea life in the shallow and clear water. Great restaurants and activities all close by. Took advantage of the grill which is in great shape. The owner is exceptionally responsive and makes sure you have everything you need. Great place for a week of fun and relaxation.

My family and I had a great stay

My family had an incredible time staying here. There is a beautiful view, nice pool, comfortable beds, a great dock, etc... It was very roomy and overall had a great experience.

Blue Dolphin was an outstanding property for our two families

My family and our neighbors (9 total from ages 44 to 4) had a great week at Blue Dolphin. Property is beautiful with own private beach and pool. The layout is easy and accommodating. We loved having three floors of outdoor space! Also, the location was great - 15 mins or less to anywhere you want to be on Islamorada. Jim, the owner, is especially helpful and responsive. He takes great care and pride in his properties.

An outstanding property

This is an extremely well built facility, comfortable and clean. The furniture is comfortable and functional from the pool to the 5 bedrooms. Every appliance worked well and the kitchen was well stocked with plates, glasses and utensils.

Keys Summer trip

The property had everything you needed from space, pool, ping pong. Just a few miles away from Jet Ski, boat rentals, and anything you needed.
