Amplio marco en A con luces de cielo. 2100 pies cuadrados en 3 pisos. Corta caminata por sendero arbolado hasta el encantador lago Raponda, playa, uso de canoa y 2 kayaks. Caminar o andar en bicicleta por caminos y caminos de tierra. Esquí y ciclismo de montaña en Mount Snow / Haystack. 9 millas al Festival de Música de Marlboro. Amplia sala de estar / comedor con chimenea central. Cocina espaciosa, recientemente renovada, con amplio espacio de trabajo, electrodomésticos nuevos. Grandes cubiertas delanteras y traseras, enclavadas en bosques. 5 habitaciones: Queen, doble, doble, 2 gemelas, 2 gemelas. Internet inalámbrico gratuito, televisión por cable, juegos y rompecabezas. La sala común de la planta baja ofrece espacio de juego adicional para los niños.

Lago Raponda: un lago escondido, de aproximadamente 1/2 milla de ancho y 2 millas de largo. La playa de Mountain View Association (5 minutos a pie) es arenosa con caída gradual, muelle y flotador de natación. Además del uso de nuestra playa, los inquilinos también pueden usar la ciudad de Wilmington Beach (20 minutos a pie o 5 minutos en automóvil), ubicada más abajo en el lago. Un favorito de las familias con niños pequeños debido a su gran playa gradual, mesas de picnic y parrillas. También se puede nadar en State Park Beach en el lago Whitingham (10 minutos en auto). Un favorito de los adolescentes.

Ciudad de Wilmington y área: pequeño pueblo de cruce de Vermont con restaurantes, cafeterías, pubs y boutiques. Lavandería automática, farmacia, supermercado, panadería. Mercado de pulgas los sábados y domingos. En el Mount Snow Valley: ciclismo de montaña, senderismo, canchas de tenis, bolos con velas (pistas con parachoques para niños pequeños), dos campos de golf de 18 hoyos, bolos con velas. Invierno: esquí alpino y de fondo, raquetas de nieve, tubos.

Caminatas y caminatas .: Nuestros favoritos: East Branch Trail (arroyos, estanques de castores, caminata al embalse). Molly Stark (caminata corta a la torre de fuego con excelentes vistas. Sitios para acampar). Caminatas locales por caminos rurales y senderos marcados.

Family vacation

The cabin was clean and comfortable. Access to the lake was great. Wilmington is a complete little town with groceries, restaurants and pubs. Excellent family vacation!

Winter Getaway

Great home away from home! There were 7 of us. The house had character and charm. We received 4-5 inches of snow our first night. In the morning, the plow guy did a great job along with the woman who shoveled the walkways. Roads also were well maintained and easily passable.

Beautiful A-frame by Lake Raponda

My wife and I spent a long weekend with our toddler at Phyllis’s beautiful home filled with character. She provided helpful information in advance and we had an excellent stay. The weather was not conducive for lake activities but we had a great time nonetheless. Would love to visit again.

We felt welcome and the children were thrilled to find some toys.WiFi was great.We loved being so close to the lake and being allowed to use the canoe, paddles and live jackets. Overall instructions were excellent, easy to turn on the water and then turn it off again. We did not make a fire though it could be a cozy experience.Grilling on the porch was wonderful, even though the deck is a bit wonky, and a few porch chairs are nearly falling apart.Kitchen facility is beautiful and well equipped but some older stuff is just filling the cabinets and not really usable, for example many of the pots and pans are wiggly on the stove or the teflon is scratched and not usable. The pancake griddles were super. We would have liked a small mixer for whipping cream, but managed by hand; also a couple of small knives and a few dish towels would be helpful. We struggled opening drawers and doors of the kitchen cabinets and attached some tape to help opening them, but removed them before leavingUpon arrival: downstairs was very musty - humidity level was nearly 90 and not running due to full bucket; we emptied the dehumidifier 8 times and by the time we left the humidity level was under 50.The last night the fire alarm went off upstairs. It seems due to the battery age. First 3 alarms, it stopped, and about 10 minutes later it was a full blast alarm - at 2AM, a bit scary.To conclude, we had a lovely visit and hopefully we'll come back anther time.Thank you very much!

Great Ski Cabin for Mt Snow

Great, cozy cabin that was perfect for our weekend trip to Mt Snow. Phyllis was very accommodating and kind. 10/10 would recommend for anyone who wishes to spend some time up in that beautiful area!

A delightful vacation destination

This rental is quirky but delightful. Front and back porches provide lots of great outdoor space for eating, visiting, reading etc. The kitchen is well equipped and has room for more than one cook. The supply of games is exceptional. Kayaks, canoes and access to a private beach and dock on Lake Raponda made use of the lake easy. A delightful location for a low key Vermont vacation.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME

I have been renting this house and only this house for years ! The house is a small piece of Vermont and what it truly feels like ! aesthetically what I have known a Vermont house to look and feel like ! The owner is amazing and a text away ! Thank you again for a great weekend !

Cozy, comfortable and close to Mt Snow skiing

This home had plenty of space for our family of 5 to stay and enjoy the winter landscape, cozy fires and home cooked meals after our days on the ski slopes. Phyllis provided detailed information prior to our arrival and was accessible and communicative during our stay.

Cozy A frame great for a family

My wife and I stayed at the cottage with my Brother and his wife, 4 kids in total along as well (8 total people). With the kids doubling up rooms there were just the right amount of beds and the space was great for spending time together and enjoying ourselves. Nice quiet area not too far from some easy going local attractions. Enjoyed the time we got to spend here and sad it had to end.

Wonderful Extended Family Vacation

Lovely, spacious home. Multigenerational comfortable. Central fireplace was perfect for a Vermont cold snap. It gathers people together. The kitchen is super equipped. We could cook anything there. The owner is very informative and available. We had a great time. Thanks to the owners of this beautiful haven.

Beautiful serene getaway

The house fit our large group really well. The kitchen, dining, and living spaces were perfect for a reunion of friends. The walk to the lake was easy and pretty. The fireplace was a great feature. The primary issue of concern was that we were not warned about the need to bring sheets and towels, which is a pretty big deal. We coped, but it was a little challenging at first.

Not very impressed with the house.

The house was very outdated except for the kitchen. There were mouse traps and pest control devices in every room. The spiral staircase was so narrow and the steps were so narrow that none of us - including our kids - could go up or down without problems.

Great Location, Slightly Higher Maintenance, Communication Opportunities

Overall, our stay was pretty good. I admittedly was going to give 3 stars, but I decided to give 4 stars because Phyllis allowed us a late checkout since the cleaners were coming the next day. With 3 children under 3 yrs old that was massively helpful. Overall, I certainly think this could be a true 4 star place or even 5 if certain things were addressed. See highlights below: Good -Overall house and living space -Full kitchen -Great location (~15 min from Mt Snow) Opportunities for improvement -Communication was the biggest challenge. Asked 3 times in initial outreach if only thing we needed to bring was sheets and towels. Received incorrect pricing on liability waiver (~50% higher than posted price). Wifi wasn't working because the password was wrong. Host finally called back 4 times after 10pm while babies were sleeping -WAY too much documentation, much of it redundant- received 7 documents in the first email after we got confirmed for our booking, which included a surprise liability waiver w/ a security deposit line (surprised that things are not insured under VRBO) that requested names and phone numbers of everyone staying. We were told it was a requirement of the community, but wasn't stated upfront (causes some discomfort when you don't have that context). One of the docs was also about avoiding extra charges (causes anxiety right out of the gates before even entering the property) -High maintenance (must turn on water, bring sheets/towels, no onsite recycling, etc)

Excellent Time!

We had a great time during our stay. Beverly was so kind and accommodating. Her information in details for the home and the area was very much appreciated and helpful. We went up w/plans to go tubing and skiing but found the home so relaxing we found ourselves just wanting to stay in and play games. The home is much more spacious than it appears to be in the photos. Beverly does mention the narrow stay case for the 2 floors. This is to be very true and the only down fall of the home if we had to choose one, but this would not stop us from wanting to return and hope to do so in the near future.

A great place to just hang out, walk to lake, use of canoe. Nice local walking and access to bike-able trails. Or use as a base for hiking, skiing, golfing and visiting the valley as well as day trips to nearby small towns, museums and the outlet stores in Manchester. Or for driving to enjoy the beauty of the area, typical architecture and covered bridges.

The charm of an A-frame, great kitchen. Walk to lake. Be sure to buy some of the locally made maple syrup from the Wheeler farm roadside stand - the best maple syrup in the world!
