Absolutely gorgeous stay with a gorgeous beachside front yard and an enchantingly beautiful backyard.Inside was clean and tastefully decorated, the two pullout beds meant ample sleeping room for 3 adults to each have their own bed. Coffee and breakfast/snacks in an in suite kitchen was much appreciated, included yogurt, fresh fruit, cream for coffee, bread, and more.Amazing bathroom with a full size shower tub and heated flooring!And of course, the host, Shelley, is an absolute gem.Can't recommend enough!

Es war einfach nur phantastisch, Shelly ist eine tolle Gastgeberin. Es gibt absolut nichts zu bemängeln. Ankunft u Abreise war sehr herzlich. Ihr "Zaubergarten" ist einfach supertoll, wirklich ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen. Habe vor, nochmal zu kommen und bei ihr zu wohnen. This was such a perfect spot. Very close to town with beautiful beach access and an easy walk into Sydney. Very comfortable bed, and lots of thought pit into amenities stocked in the suite. I would definitely stay again!

Our stay at Salish Sea Beach house was unforgettable!! Our only regret was that we had not booked for a longer stay! The home is extremely well appointed: amazing bedding, robes, heated floor in the bath, coffee and tea, the continental breakfast, luggage racks, and umbrellas for a rainy day. (Just to name a few). The location is amazing. There was a bit of rain, but we were still able to walk on the beach. Don't miss the amazing "Secret Garden" out back. We visited Butchart Gardens and had tea at the Empress in Victoria. We also were fortunate to go to the street fair on Thursday night in the town nearby; what a delight! Shelley is a 5 star hostess!! Colorado is home, but we will look for a reason to come back to Vancouver Island.

The host was very accommodating, understanding and helpful. There was fruit, food and vegetables when we arrived, which felt more personal than simply being stocked up. Being so close to the beach was amazing. We really enjoyed being able to walk over to the beach in the morning and experience it again at night. We were three adults and a young teenager, and there was enough room for all of us. Dividers and separate parts of the room made it larger. Overall a great place to stay with a great host.

A lovely suite with a beautiful, quirky garden.

We stayed several nights. We found the location to be very conducive to getting on our bicycles and exploring trails and pathways. The suite was nicely furnished with a comfortable bed which is very important to me. The kitchen was well laid out and the dining area had a nice view overlooking the ocean. The bathroom was nicely finished and had a very interesting row of tiles along the top of the tile surround.

A wonderful location right next to the sea. Close to Downtown Sidney, right on the picturesque Lochside Trail, a great way to explore. The suite was quiet and comfortable. Shelley goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. From the fresh fruit, ample supply of coffee, fresh baked bread, granola and so much more. Highly recommend staying if you have the chance.

Quiet, friendly, great location

We enjoyed the breakfast supplies fresh bread, yogurt, fruit, granola, coffee options kuerig pods/pot. Lovely walk along the water to Sidney, less than a couple km. Beds comfortable. Fabulous water views from kitchen window.

The accommodations were spacious and very well equipped with separated kitchenette/dining area from living/sleeping section with great views of the Salish Sea and on bike/walking path to Sidney centre. The hostess greeted us on arrival, providing local information. We stayed a week, rented bikes and very conveniently travelled by bus to Victoria.

All We Hoped for and More!

My friend and I were looking to have a relaxing and fun short getaway. It was all that and then some. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. Shelly had left many incidentals that made it feel like home; some delicious breakfast items, charging dock, interesting library, comfortable bed and other accommodations, heated bathroom floor, a beautiful view with beach access, a lovely garden to sit and have breakfast, and the best bread ever!! She even helped us book a massage :) It was just great. We will see you again, Shelly.

Great location, wonderful host, beautiful property

This was the last leg of our BC journey, and we were very happy with the clean and cozy, beautiful, first floor loft style house, and an enchanting garden. Shelley is such a wonderful, kind, and thoughtful host! The little details were so pleasant to discover :) The bed and the bedding were super comfy and very clean (Virgo mom approved hehe). The heated floor in the bathroom was a very pleasant surprise during a quick barefoot nighttime washroom visit. My nine-year old enjoyed the beach combing and her lovely chats with Shelley. Seaside shopping area and restaurants were a quick 5 minute drive away. Overall a wonderful experience, and would definitely stay again and highly recommend the host, the property and the location! Thank you Shelley!! your visitors from LA :)
